  1. It’s not always the people they are after that they injure - My experience was not having flashing lights behind me. The Police car exited a side road without stopping, there were large hedges that prevented me seeing it or the police seeing me, It was a VERY close thing. My point is that the Police should be answerable for their actions and not given an easy ride just because they are highly trained, in fact quite the opposite, if they injure an innocent person they should have to explain why, given that they are so highly trained to avoid such incidents.
  2. While I do welcome a crackdown on this kind of crime, I do have a concern about the police acting as Judge and Jury, having fallen foul of a few complete ar*eholes in police uniforms. Also having been almost wiped out on my bike by an unmarked speeding police car jumping a junction I think they should still be brought to account for their actions if it affects innocent people, but as has been posted - that doesn’t help if you’re dead !!
  3. They wouldn't be though, it would be down to 12 people who are too stupid to get out of jury service. The Jury only determine guilt, the sentence is provided by the Judge ( person in a silly wig )
  4. The airbox is an ugly carbuncle of epic proportions - I’ve let it out to a family of 10 illegal immigrants. I think I’ll have to consult those who’ve gone down this road before me, not as easy as I thought... as usual !!
  5. Thanks both. I’m gonna use the link pipes from the carb to air box then put the pods on those.
  6. So I’m cleaning the carbs up for the Trophy, I’m ditching the old air box and tubes contraption and gonna put on foam filters. The air box inlet side of the carbs are oval with a separate small chamber - what’s it for? It seems to divert air into to the carb top. Please see pic. I’ve polished up one of the float bowls and sprayed with 3 coats of petrol resistant lacquer...... I then picked up the carb and thought ‘WTF have I done???’ There is no way I’ll get the carb that shiny with all its books and crevices
  7. There’s weird, then bat shit crazy, then it’s wearing your watch with the face on the inside of your wrist ... Nutter alert !!!! I tend to flail around a lot You’re not helping your case
  8. There’s weird, then bat shit crazy, then it’s wearing your watch with the face on the inside of your wrist ... Nutter alert !!!!
  9. So, I got 2 out of 3 correct. Alex Marquez could have had a better chance if he could have stayed on the bloody thing !!
  10. I also took a pack up, washed it down with a few cans of lager which I also took. It’s £5 / pint for boggo Carlsberg at the show, you can get 4 x 1pint cans of a premium lager for that and have £15 left for 2 necktubes
  11. Police presence in Rugby is coz of the local thieving sh*tbags not any terrorist threat !!
  12. Hiya Welcome to the loony bin. In answer to your question... anything is possible, it’s just a matter of invention, application and £
  13. I’ve got a Casio G-Shock, I never take it off ( except when I had MRI scan), it’s had loads of abuse and it’s still going strong after 7 years ( had new battery). It can get wet and take vibes on the bike without any issues.
  14. Thank goodness for that. I’d got visions of a Cov Telegraph headline ‘Huge Conflagration Lights Up Coventry Sky, Blamed on Irresponsible Use of Motorcycle in Domestic Residence’ W.M. Police say “only means of identifying the victim by surviving ‘Itchy Bum’ stickers” Good effort, glad it’s ended well

Got a set of Halfords Advanced Screwdrivers 1/2 price (£10) Spoke to the guy at the bike station who knew about JIS ( unlike the people at tool station, screwfix or Machine Mart) and uses them on Shimano gears sets ( they have JIS fixings) what ever they are !!

  18. A good friend of mine died at 60, 3 months before he was due to take early retirement. He had a great Pension lined up and all for nowt. That’s why I decided to retire early, 40 years service is enough, I’m gonna have some time relaxing before I kick it.

JIS?? I seem to recall something about that ... Is that because they are Japanese Mikuni carbs?
  24. Not had experience with it, but in my simple mind anything that retains moisture close to metal is a bad thing !! Unless it has magical water repellent properties.
