  1. if you are racing or doing lots of track days I get it but other than that why have your chin on the tank....as for keyfobs I use a rubber wristband, I hate having loose keys I seem to always loose them It’s a naked bike and I am a bit of a unit, so at some speeds I act as a sail and the front end gets light ( not great at some speeds ) So I shove my arse back and put my head down - although whether I could bend low enough to get it on the tank these days is debatable - I’ll let you know next time I am on a track ‘ahem’
  2. I do not have a key fob at all. They scratch the top yolk and the writing around the key slot. They are also distracting at speed when you have your chin on the tank. This is another reason not to have one. Anyone know any benefit apart from dropping it on the bar to show everyone what you’re not riding coz you’re drinking? Mickly
  3. Here it is attached to the bike with a zip tie tether just in case. Works well, cover allows touch screen to work.
  4. Lovely ride out today The George ( In The Tree ) Balsall Common Drayton Manor The Cock Inn Tamworth The (Old) Windmill - Spon End Coventry Brownsover Hall Towcester Race Course
  5. So why wasn’t Chaz Davies penalised for not taking the mandatory 5 seconds stop for straight lining the chicane in the first race? Coz he’s on an Italian Bike at an Italian track ?? Oh no of course not
  6. That’s what 3 litres of Frosty Jack’ll do to you
  7. Just in case anyone’s interested for the future It was £10 for leathers/helmet/Boots/Gloves - in a marquee run by the local Rotary club.
  8. That’s all very well, but it does not answer the most important question...... is it suitable for flouncing?
  9. I’ve got the same ( unless you got the ‘R’ version ) Got it new and it still makes me grin like a maniac when I’ve been out to play on it. The handling is sweet but can go off quick if the tyre pressures aren’t right. Loads of low down grunt and a good finish - nothing rusty yet ( ACF50 helps) Loads of farkles available to bling it up What’s not to love? Mickly
  10. How much would it be to drop the kit off at the riders for life truck?
  11. Aye, I’ve bought the tickets and me and me mate gonna ride up from Cov, he’s gonna be on the back coz he’s too poor to have a bike ( only transport is his Missus mobility car ), but he’s managed to gather enough cheap gear to go pillion, and loves it - bloody nutter.
  12. Why aren’t they here any more? Banned? Trolled? Bored? Memory loss? I suppose anything but a ban would be their personal choice not to come back, so is it to pursuade the Mods to allow them back or to show the love people have for them to pursuade them back?
  13. Just picked up a smart phone holder £6:99 from the dreaded centre isle at Aldi (I shouldn’t go there as I have magpie eyes for shiny trinkets) it’s allegedly waterproof with a earphone / charging in/outlet and it clamps to your bars. Now here’s the rub - it was on sale with the cycle stuff - will it be suitable to be used at motorbike speeds? Anyone tried one? I’d like to know in case I end up with a squished I-phone Mickly

    Phobias

Riding Pillion, having had 2 offs as a pillion I would rather crawl than accept a lift on the back of a bike.

  17. Honda C50 field bike brought for £5, 20 No6 and a snow sledge - reckon I got ripped off - only lasted 1 summer before I snapped it in half down the woods. Mickly
  18. Best remind Rossi about Jerez 2005 and tell him to wind his neck in! Mickly
  19. I bought some Alpinstars smx5 WP boots, after 2 years of weather proection ( provided I wore my trousers outside of them ) using a preventative maintenance mind set I treated them with Nikwax - what a bloody stupid idea, it seems that the WP coating resisted the Nikwax and just left it dried to the outside and now difficult to remove, you live and learn. Mickly
  20. Wow, a free extra bonus Yum yum, fry it with a little garlic, chilli and a squeeze of lemon and it would pass for any of the pretentious bollox pedalled by the latest bunch of life style gurus Mickly
  21. It would be a chat over a cup of tea or a soft drink as Henry Cole is teetotal, due to excesses earlier in life, still might be a good Gas though. Mickly
