  1. I think Aldi are doing them this week in their special buys.
  2. I was sitting on the bed pulling off my boxers when my wife walked in and said you spoil them dogs.
  3. I've got my last 3 from here. Never had an issue with any refurb from them.
  4. I'd be careful buying from them type of sites. In an accident the visor could shatter and damage your face/eyes. Same if you get hit by a stone on the visor.
  5. I've had very mixed results. My Oxford laminated hinterland suit keeps me dry and warm all year round. Oxford over suits like rain seal might as well beade from tissue, just useless. I bought Oxford Code dry2dry boots, great to wear, very comfortable but I've had wet toes every time it rains.
  6. I have the motoairbag m1. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/2463507 I've had it a few months and I'm happy with my choice. It's provides great coverage, better than almost everything out there. It weighs a bit but I haven't been uncomfortable at all. It is tethered and has a unique firing system. I've not inflated it to date. It comes with a little gel sticker that I've stuck on my dash as a reminder. I considered helite, dainese, and others but this covers better. Many airbags can't be worn over your jacket so I was happy this one can. In the recent warm weather I had it over my Knox urban pro 3 and was happy. Initially I wanted something electric but I didn't want to pay a subscription and also I've enough things to charge already. Phone, watch, winter gloves etc. You can wear a backpack up to 2kg I think but can't use a chest strap. I'm happy with the purchase. I'm sure it will stand up with the best bags out there. I had some questions and motoairbag in Italy were helpful when I approached them asking questions. I should probably post a review if I get time.
  7. I commute all year round. I have a laminated suit and then I have a 2 piece outer waterproof shell on to if it's really chucking it down. My laminate suit won't let water in but it's nicer to have it dry hanging in the office. Also I find I get my socks or shirt wet when getting changed so the outer shell helps as the main suit is dry anyway. I've got a outer shell jacket that's compatible with my airbag vest which I've not tried yet.
  8. So many nominations in a very short period today. These were all within the space of one junction. On the M1 commuting home, took the car today. Turned to take the motorway and just as it becomes too late to change my mind I see 20mph speed limit in force. Nob 1. Girl in a new mini driving the wrong way up the hard shoulder trying to go back where she came from after travelling a 1/4 mile up the M1. Nob 2. The Mondeo that cut up the hard shoulder and cut hard into m me in lane 1. I'd to slam my brakes to not go in the back of him. Nob 3. The land cruiser that must have been doing 50 mph up the hard shoulder. Nob 4. The guy in the honda jazz driving with his exhaust hanging 4 foot behind his car. Nob 5. The one that caused the issue. A mini that's rear ended a S4 a rush hour. Anyway, lesson learned. I'm on the bike for the rest of the week.
  9. I've got an aftermarket exhaust on my bike and I've the full stock exhaust including cat and headers just taking up room. My bike is a 2013 cbr600f. Do people buy originals, or would someone pay for scrap or do I just dump it in the tip. I don't want to keep it. I know some do and sell the aftermarket one separate but I want it gone.
  10. Ive got the worx one. Jet wash is over stateing it's ability. It had enough power to wash the bike but won't remove dirt like a jet wash at a car wash. i use the spray foam bottle to cover in suds then wash the bike and then clean off with a spray again. It's not got anywhere near the power of a mains operated machine but I like that knowing that it's not going to damage electrics.
  11. I think whoever parked this should reassess their parking skills. So he's legally parked but he's taking up space where someone else could have also fit in. Parking in town is difficult as it's always busy so he should have made it easier for others or gone across the road where there is designated and free motorcycle parking. The carpark is normally full but I've never seen the bike spaces full, usually it's empty. *I didn't see the rider, assumed it's a he.
  12. So far the disposable Zeiss wipes are good enough but not 100% like res+pure were. The sellers on Amazon often post out of date stock so some are dry. Probably overstocked from COVID mask days. In the space of 2 weeks I've had my car spring an oil leak and a big windscreen crack. Plus car and bike insurance are now due so will wait another pay day before sending off the glasses for anti fog coating
  13. This is what I'm thinking of doing. https://lensology.co.uk/anti-fog-lenses/
  14. I'm using zeiss at the moment, the disposable wipes. They are good but not amazing and the film it leaves attracts dust. But it is good at keeping most of the fog away. The anti fog treatment is permanent so less hassle and I'm hoping someone has done it.
  15. Yeah but I don't like them and can only wear them for a shirt time before my eyes get dry. I'm sat at a screen most of the day and glasses are more comfortable. I don't want to use contacts just for my commute each day.
  16. I wear glasses all the time and been struggling with fogging lenses all winter. I used to use re+spire supercharged anti fog wipes and they were great. But no longer available. I saw recently that you can send your glasses away and get an anti fog coating done. Has anyone done it?
  17. Cleaned my cbr or more accurately transferred the dirt from it to me. It's such a shame that you can't just bring your bike to a place for a quick clean like you can a car rather than expensive detailers

    Backpacks

I meant a backpack for both. I've now got a top box as it's easier and I now use an airbag which you can't really use a backpack with them.

    Backpacks

I have 2 bags. A large one from SW motech. It's a large roll top and waterproof and great at holding everything whilst comfortable. Also it's bright yellow so good in winter. I've a black Samsonite rolltop too that's smaller which has more of an office look. That's water resistant. Materials are good but I don't 100% trust the zips.
  20. My helmets are usually XL and many manufacturers will do much larger too. Have a look at sportsbikeshop and use them to see the various types of helmet on the market. Look at online reviews from the likes of Bennetts and you'll see that there are plenty of cheap helmets out there that can do a good job. Look for helmets that are 22.06 compliant. That's the new min safety level. Google motorcycles clothing and wherever you are and find a shop. Go try them on as every helmet brand fits a little different to the rest. Staff in shops are usually very helpful.a good fit is just, if not more important than anything else. All UK sold helmets have to meet minimum safety levels. You're on 2 wheels now. Maybe this is a nice opportunity to get out on your bike a bit. If the helmet is loud and cold and it's modular helmet I'd check carefully that it is actually closed right on your head. It might be too small.
  21. Lots of flooding locally this week. On a 40mph back road. Our side of the road is flooded with about a foot of water. Guy in a Skoda Octavia decides that crossing over to the other side of the road is the best way even though there's 3 cars coming against us. Rather than risk getting his front bumper wet (it's a foot deep he could make it) he plays chicken with oncoming traffic who are forced to stop dead or have a head on collision. I had wife and out baby in the car so hit our brakes fairly sharpish to avoid the potential disaster ahead. Lucky all 3 cars stopped in time to let this nob by.
