  1. I was hoping to pick up a few bits in sales but nothing came up that was worth buying. Something I do need to buy is a spare charger for the batteries in my heated gloves.
  2. It's a lovely looking bike. I've a cbr600f and contemplating changing for the same reasons. Suzuki gsxs1000f is high on my list of potentials as it's more upright but still got some sporty looks.
  3. It's not like some farmer that grabbed his hunting rifle. They had a 9mm handgun, a shotgun, tasers and lock knife. Probably not best behaved fellas. That being said hopefully it'll give other would be thieves something to think about.
  4. I wear ear plugs any time I know I'm going to be doing over 50mph. Above that my ears hurt. Commute an hour into central London on motorway and any time I've forgotten to put them in it's not very nice on my lugs. I've been using eggz for the last year and have no complaints.
  5. After reading this thread I zipped my jacket and trousers together for the first time. From a comfort point of view it made no difference but would offer better safety in a slide. However getting them off and storing them zipped together in work has been more difficult as I've limited space and having them unzipped I stuck them in different spots in the office during the day. Will keep zipped for now and see how it goes.
  6. There's a 2m long hose. If that's enough then I don't see why not.
  7. This is mine, battery powered. Did a good job without proper power washer pressure to worry about https://www.amazon.co.uk/WORX-WG620E-2-Cordless-Hydroshot-Portable/dp/B07Y5GPJMY/ref=asc_df_B07Y5GPJMY/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=430933650865&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10895744284297735976&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046080&hvtargid=pla-907825900294&psc=1&mcid=f57b1496f7df36689630d8db468900ca&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=104090655830&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=430933650865&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10895744284297735976&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046080&hvtargid=pla-907825900294
  8. Bennetts is an insurance company but they have a great YouTube channel. Search for them and lock or security and you'll find reviews of various bits. Multiple security items are best. Have a solid chain and lock for over night. Maybe a couple of smaller disc locks for out and about. A cover can actually help as thieves don't want to be dealing with them. Keep in mind where you park. ALWAYS use your steering lock. If your bike is stolen and recovered and it was found not to have the steering lock on then insurance may not pay out. Also on insurance, compare the price with and without locks and chains. Sometimes the price is the same but if you quote without then your insurance company isn't expecting locks on all the time which they could otherwise hold against you. Welcome to life on 2 wheels.
  9. I've had the same experiences in London. We went into central London this weekend. Getting off the tube and trains is a struggle. My Mrs is 8 months pregnant with tfl baby on board pin on her jacket and people still push in as she's trying to get off the trains. I was furious but die to the carriage being packed she was ahead of me so I couldn't form a path. One guy shouted at everyone that a preggo lady was getting off and I prefer to remember him helping that the others that got in the way.
  10. Sometimes I wake up grumpy in the morning. Other days I let her sleep in.
  11. Me and Mrs went up London to see the lights. It's manic. Just too many people around. Which is saying a lot as I work in central London.
  12. I've been on a 2013 cbr 600f since passing my test. Really love it. Easy to ride but 100 bhp (a little more that the 650) , adjustable suspension and better brakes to and a great one can be got for under £4k.
  13. I used to use the two bucket to clean my bike and car. I bought a work hydroshot recently and it made it much easier. It's battery powered and pumped water from my bucket.
  14. I use nixwax but there's a newer thing on the market, visiodry. Sold out everywhere from what I can see but it is supposed to be good.
  15. My rainseal 1 piece lets in water and I'm not sure how. Wouldn't buy it again. My Oxford hinterland jacket and trousers do a good job though.
  16. I'm tempted by the 20% off this weekend. But I'm just picturing getting ready for work and having the airbag, then the jacket and then possibly oversuit if it's hammering rain. Potentially a heated jacket too. I'd have more layers than an onion on. On the worst day of commuting. Shirt Keiss heated jacket Oxford jacket Helite Oversuit And then my backpack. Feels like overkill.
  17. Ive just bought a work hydroshot. £140 for the washer, brushes etc and 2 batteries. Not as much pressure as a plugged in one but you don't want that on your bike anyway.
  18. Some gloves are connected via Bluetooth so when you adjust one, the other changes too. Some have sensors built in to keep you at a set temp so not to get too hot or cold as go along.
