  1. It is a bit of a pain but all you have to do is prove to the administrators that the vehicle belongs to you and they have to release it. It cannot be classed as an asset of the company that has gone bust.
  2. Sounds like you had a good day considering and you learnt a lot and more importantly you enjoyed it. Just get back out there take your time soak up all the knowledge and you will get there.
  3. Good luck but im sure you wont need it, hope the weather stays good for you and all the idiots keep away from your route.
  4. Are these any good for you Somerton Motorcycle Engineering | Welcome (somerton-motorcycle-engineering.co.uk) lumleyengineering.co.uk/page_1.php?pgenme=home&findplace= Vision Motorcycles
  5. Give Flitwick motorcycles a ring Im sure they would welcome you with open arms. A very good Yamaha dealer in my experiance.
  6. It looks a nice bike look after it and you will get your money back when you sell it later on.
  7. Good luck for tomorrow I hope it all goes well.
  8. Hi Lee welcome to the forum, there are quite a few on here that have had Fazers so there should be plenty of advice. Looking forward to the restoration how about photos to follow the progress.
  9. The price of small auto cars have gone through the roof over the last few years. Its all to do with new drivers finding them easier to drive and in the end with EV motors everthing will be an auto. So why bother learning on a geared vehicle.
  10. If you want to ride legal off road on the green lanes of britain you cant go wrong by joining TRF. There are very knowledgeable members that fight for the right to keep these lanes and tracks open.
  11. Look up your local TRF group ( Trail Riders Fellowship) and join in. You dont need a full blown enduro bike and you can start off with a group on easy trails and progress from there. I havnt done it for years but it was a great laugh with a great group of people. Trail Riders Fellowship – TRF
  12. A bit more info would help like year engine size and so on, but is this what you are after Kick Start Lever For KSR-Moto Explorer Race GT 50 08-13 | eBay
  13. Have a look at Delkevic exhausts they make some very nice stuff from end cans to full exhaust systems in stainless steel. Honda CB600F Hornet 1998-2002 420mm Tri-Oval Stainless Exhaust ... (delkevic.co.uk)
  14. Welcome to the forum, a picture would help so we can see what exactly is wrong. If you cant get a new part you probably can get universal rods with rose jointed ends that could be made to fit. Have you tried all the chinese spares places and searched ebay for sinnis stealth breaking or spares/repairs?
  15. The original mirror was probably cheaply made and not very rigid, there are plenty of after market mirrors out there first check what bolt or thread size holds your mirror on then start your search. Probably something with a better more substanstial mount and thicker shaft. If you are getting vibration through the bars trying different bar end weights and see if it helps.
  16. You would be better off stripping and cleaning the carbs you have possibly getting them ultra sonic cleaned than trying to find something to fit in their place. Just do one carb at a time and take loads of pictures for referance. If you have a manual that will give you the settings for the jets when you put it back together. Make sure to have a good look at the diaphrams for perishing and cracks and replace if needed.
  17. As others have said you need to own your lane dont ride to the left of your lane in the gutter stay near to the middle or just right of the middle. Its all about confidence and watching whats happening around you, as you approach the slip road watch whats coming down and going to join. You have right of way adjust your speed if nessersary I know hard to do on a small bike. As suggested ask if an instructor will take you out for a few hours and advise you. Try wearing a high viz jacket to make you stand out more. It is hard when you start riding and it can be quite daunting to start with, im sure the more you ride that confidence will come and you will take it in your stride. Good luck
  18. I missed that last night bloody box didnt record it but just looked it up and it is repeated on saturday morning on itv4 at 7.25 for those interested.
  19. Probably your best bet would be to get a second hand loom for your model that hasnt been butchered about then you have all the plug connectors for the ecu and reg/rec and kill switch. Then you can adapt it to your needs from there. Dont forget if you intend to ride it on the road even on a daylight MOT you will need a horn and a rear brake light at least.
  20. Having a brain injury will have a negative impact on cycling too so its a yes from me. Make it compulsory to wear a helmet if you ride a e scooter/ pushbike on public roads/paths. Oh and insurance should be compulsory to.
  21. To all you lucky lot out on your bikes this time of year remember its harvest time and around here in bedfordshire every bend and roundabout is covered in grain. Some junctions and roundabouts yesterday were awash with the stuff and bad enough in a car let alone coming across it on a bike. Take care you lot and have fun.
  22. If you brought this from a dealer/business then take it back to them and quote the sale of goods act 2015 to them. The item must be of reasonable quality, fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. If you paid for the bike with a credit card even if it was only a deposit of at least 100 quid then your credit card is jointly liable for this purchase. So make a section 75 claim through your credit card. Do not let the dealer fob you off, even though they have stopped selling what sounds like a piece of junk your contract of sale is with the dealer/business. If you need any help can I suggest going to see citizens advice to guide you. Also just because they claim it is outside the manufactuers warranty means nothing in law, that is just something that the seller offers. The 2015 sale of goods act is law and trumps anything that the seller offers.
  23. Blimey you have your work cutout there but I can see why you want to do it. Good luck it will be very interesting to follow the thread.
  24. Hi John welcome to the forum.
