  1. Plus he is clearly a trader so should be on trade plates and all that goes with that. If he was to be involved in an accident the person he has brought the car off would be liable for any claim and I cant see them saying oh yes I let him borrow the car with no mot to travel 200 miles to mot it and oh he wants to buy the car when he gets there. Good luck arguing that one with law enforcement. Sorry but cowboy trader springs to mind.
  2. There probably is but you need the part numbers first so you can cross referance, Part zilla is good for this as it will bring up other models. Webmoto is very good for oem parts at decent prices but not sure on cost of shipping to Italy.
  3. Have a look on webmoto or Fowlers of bristol or CMS in holland and look up your model. Get the part number then cross reference it, you may be able to buy a generic version from a bearing factor and a better price then. 4. Has anyone else noticed Colonel Saunders seems to have morphed into Rolf Harris.
  5. Thats fine it does the job and takes up the slack nice fix. This may help with trying to find parts or how things are ment to go if you havnt heard of them before Honda CG125 1981 (B) ENGLAND parts lists and schematics (cmsnl.com) They are a huge supplier of genuine parts based in holland and are great for research into hundreds of models. Great for cross referencing parts.
  6. I thought you had moved down under cobber.
  7. Are you sure its the correct throttle body for that bike has it been changed out off something else that isnt right. Did you buy a genuine honda cable or a generic one as a lot of the copies are utter junk unless from a decent manufactuer.
  8. At the throttle end the 90 degree bend should be screwed into casting then the locking nut nipped up then you should have a barrel nut with a locking nut. release the locking nut and then wind the barrel nut to take up the slack. Leave a small amount of slack say 2/3mm of twist grip turn and when you are happy nip up the lock nut on the barrel nut. Failing that check you have the cable routed and secured at both ends.
  9. It could be wires for the clutch switch which is under the clutch lever or possible the bike had heated grips and they have been removed leaving the wiring.
  10. Have a read of this I think it answers your question. L plate sizes - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) What used to be done when a qualified person drove a vehicle with L plates fitted as Stu suggested to put a black tape cross over the plate.

  12. A very sobering read the last 3 plaques, I went to my local service and dispite the appalling weather there was a great turnout.
  13. Shop around on the comparison sites, I did and the original renewal was 125 quid more and after a bit of looking got better quote 30 quid cheaper than last years insurance. And t was with a big named company I dont go with companies ive never heard off, Its just a pain having to do the leg work but pays off in the end.
  14. Have you tried talking to a decent Lexmoto dealer there must be one out there who acually works on the bikes not just a seller and ask them if a cable off another lexmoto will fit or can be adapted. There has been so many in there range one must fit. Or you could try talking to Webmoto and see if one of there Slinky cable kits would be suitable. Or try Venhill cables they could probably make you one up using yours as a pattern and it would be miles better than the original.
  15. Hi there welcome to the forum looks like you have a nice collection to keep you going for a few years.
  16. You dont say what year your bike is so im not sure if the clocks a different but looking at a 2010 model on the CMS website it looks like you have 2 bulbs in the speedo and 1 in the revcounter. Have a look at this yamaha-ybr125ed-2010-51d1-europe-1j51d-300e1-32-meter_big3IMG01117624_c9be.gif (1080×1500) (cmsnl.com)
  17. So just to clarify you rode it 200 miles and it ran fine and capable of over 60mph and now it wont go over sixty. Or it has never been able to get more than sixty out of it.
  18. As all above and has the gearing been altered at all.
  19. You could try a set of Oxford Fat grips.
  20. I had to read it a few times but I got it in the end lol
  21. Go for it and get out there learn to ride it and have a great time, oh and remember watch out for all the morons in other vehicles who are doing everything apart from looking where they are going.

Welcome to the forum and anything on two wheels and an engine is a biker. You have quite a desirable moped there look after it dont muck about adding daft stuff or tuning it and it will be worth a few quid if you sell it and move on to something else. They are getting quite collectable now. Good luck and enjoy riding it.
  23. Sorry its a no from me Im out, would rather walk than ride that thing. It looks pig ugly.
  24. I can imagine the grin on your face when that key worked, I would of been running around the garage on a celebration lap or two. Well done keep it up.
