You are probably aware Angela but just incase, If it is faulty and its gone wrong within the first thirty days you can reject the goods and ask for a replacement or a full refund.

Get yourself a dashcam god forbid anything happens there is evidence, also for the two tw#ts you met that day just send the footage to your local plod and then they can send a nice little letter to the owners.

If you cant stretch to a concrete base go for cheap concrete slabs or look on freecycle sites for free stuff. Lay them on a bed of sharp sand it will keep the damp out of the bottom of the shed. I would go for a decent wooden shed with a large single door or double doors sometimes called a groundsmans shed. Use decent fixings and bracing make sure to use a decent grade of felt and a shed will last for years. A coat of creasote each year and you can add insulation if you like, I personally dont like metal sheds because of condensation and damp. Put decent security on what ever you buy but try not to make it all visible and obvious, a good tip is if you have a padlock on any shed in cold weather the rain gets into the lock and freezes up making it hard to open. If you have an old inner tube cut an oval piece out of it about 6/7 inches in length then put a screw with washer in the top so the rubber hangs down covering the lock. It keeps it dry and out of sight and never freezes up.

Make up a metal plate to bolt into the pump hole and if you havnt got the fuel cap a suitable rubber ball nicked off the dog and pushed in place or I have got brought rubber bungs before to block up tanks. A good material for making blanking plates or spacers and loads of other things is cheap nylon chopping boards. Dead easy to cut drill and mould to shape if needed. Cost from a quid up and they come in various thicknesses. -

It looks like a good project should keep you busy in the garage over winter. Have a look at Evapo-rust it is a water based solution just pour it in and swill it around occasionally and let it do its work. Good thing about it is you drain it out and its reusable. It is a good rust remover. -
Not sure what year bike you have but looking at pictures of the linkage there is the potential for a lot of play in the pivot points. Have a look at all the parts and look for wear or slack in the joints or anything that could be bent out of shape and binding with another part of the linkage.

Suzuki gn engine 250 in a herald classic 125
Old-codger replied to LHolland's topic in Motorbike Chat
They do make a 250 version but if it is the same frame you would probably have to modify the frame mounts and quite a few other things. Anything is possible with a welder and an angle grinder. -
Hope it all goes well for Sue and you rennie, hope you have a good range of takeaways near you.

Blimey Simon with skills like that you should work for passport control.

Sorry to hear of your problems, so many people buy this chinese rubbish and only find out later that the backup aint worth the paper it is written on. Now you say parts have been changed was this buy the original company? Not getting your bike serviced when it should have been can cause problems with your warranty. But your first port of call should be back to the supplying dealer notifying them that the bike has not worked properly only months after you brought it and they need to investigate and fix it. Any product has to be of reasonable quality, last a reasonable amount of time and fit for purpose. You need to inform the dealer that under the consumer rights act of 2015 the product must meet the terms mentioned above. If they start quoting their guarantee the consumer law trumps that. Hopefully you called them when you first started having problems. Did you pay for this bike by credit card by any chance even if it was only a deposit of more than 100 pounds? Then the credit card company are jointly liable and you can make a claim under a section 75 consumer credit act to get them to fix the bike or refund all your money. Good luck I hope this helps.

You dont need a big screen you would be surprised that even a small screen moves the air up and over your head. The trouble is finding a shop that has various styles and sizes in stock that you can compare before buying. Have a look on the Givi website they may even make something specific for your model.

Hi there I understand your pain but if you brought this from a dealer you need to inform them to come and collect the bike and start advising them that under the consumer rights act 2015 the product has to be of reasonable quality, fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. If it was mine (and lukily I would never buy chinese crap) and you brought it within the last 30 days you should be demanding your money back. If its a private sale you are stuck with it sorry.

I refuse to use car parks that require an app I go and spend my money somewhere else, plus there is now the scam where fake QR codes are being put on payment machines so you download god knows what.

You need to report it M S to the police and the council so that goes down on the record, I know its a pain in the arse but its the only way to get blackspots sorted out and the authorities cant say they didnt know about it.

Hi there welcome to the forum, it is more than probable that another master cylinder complete with lever could be made to fit. I take it that its a scooter with both front and rear brakes on the bars, a picture would help. You need to know your handlebar diameter and see if you can find a part number on your master cylinders then do a search on that part number. It is bound to be used on loads of other bikes and scooters. AS you have found out chinese bikes are crap at supplying spare parts. Probably a universal master cylinder could fit but you also need to take into account there will be brake light switches that you may need to adapt the wiring. Anything is possible good luck with your search and be careful if you aint sure what you are doing get help dont take risks with your brakes.

It is a bit of a pain but all you have to do is prove to the administrators that the vehicle belongs to you and they have to release it. It cannot be classed as an asset of the company that has gone bust.
