  1. Just a thought you said the valve/valves were bent last time so you straigthen them out. How accurate were you im thinking as the bike has warmed up a valve has stuck in the valve guide causing lack of compression.
  2. Look up the part number on somewhere like Honda Motorcycle Parts, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Motorcycle Parts - ATV, Classic Bike, Dirt Bike Parts (cmsnl.com) for your bike then cross reference it to see if it fits earlier model years.
  3. Dont give up its a setback for sure, just get out there practicing and go again. Failing anything is a pain but once you have passed you will forget all about it and you can start to enjoy the world on a motorbike. Nothing beats being out on your bike. Chin up you will do it.
  4. Very sad news indeed another great racer gone to early.

  6. Didnt he get about 8 speeding tickets in 2 weeks? I wonder if that has any reason why he has dissappeared?

  8. It started last wednesday Henry was on the new BSA and they are rebuilding A Z1.
  9. He was a very talented rider and would have gone on to win world titles im sure. Not a good couple of weeks for the motorcycle racing world.
  10. Very sad indeed a great rider he will be sadly missed.
  11. Thats a bit of luck get two weeks of practice in a the very best good luck sir.
  12. Although I have upvc frames a couple of the glas units had failed, ive changed plenty before and watched pros fitting them so I just go online find a company to make up the sealed unit to my sizes and order them. You need to measure the size of your sealed units allowing for probably packing pieces between unit and wooden frame and work out the thickness of the unit as there are quite a few. I presume you have some sort of wooden beading around the frame holding the unit in. If the original sealing method was ok just refit the same. Hardest bit is working out the thickness of the unit but you can get calipers that will work it out for you or just measure framework and a bit of subtraction. This was the company I used last time and had free delivery as I was not in a hurry to replace. Double Glazed Units and Glass Sealed Units Online
  13. Ive had a quick search but as you have found the folding rack seems to be the stumbling block, Have you tried contacting Vespa to see if there is an official one they supply or failing that there seems to be plenty of aftermarket manufactuers making racks and boxes to fit.

You just have to look who financed her campaign to see who she is paying back now. And as for Boris twat being hounded out the poor little lad, I thought he was thrown out for being a lying c£$t.
  15. As others have said do a wet compression test and also check the valve clearances in case one has closed up on that side or stuck open.
  16. That really is a pain no pun intended, You must be due a bit of good luck sooner or later surely.
  17. That is a bummer hope they ring soon and get you booked in asap.
  18. RIP Queen Liz there wont be another Royal like you unfortunatly.
  19. It shouldnt cause you any problems only if it starts to leak exhaust gases which could lean off the fuel/air mixture and cause a siezure at max revs. If you start to hear poping and banging when you shut the throttle at higher revs it could be leaking more. If it was mine I would replace the gasket. Not sure where you are in the country but if you dont know anyone who could check it or sort it for you have a look at other motorcycle shops in your area and ask them what they think of the mess there. Its a lot to take in when you start biking and working out how things work and fixing them can be pain, finding good trustworthy bike shops can be a minefield but there are more good shops out there than bad. I hope you get it sorted.
  20. A lot of two strokes leak gunge from there its a mix of petrol/oil and carbon build up. If you wipe your finger through it its probably like a black tar like substance. A new exhaust manifold gasket would cure it as the old one is past it and been compresed to much. I would take it back to the dealer and ask them to clean up the area and fit a new gasket and dealer worth his salt would want to keep his customer happy.
  21. Have a look at the Skoda mk2 with the 1.2 three cylinder petrol engine, average 45/50 around town chain driven cams and 135 quid to tax. Pick up a nice estate and small car with lots of space. Its all VW/Audi running gear.
