  1. Hi there have a look in your area for motorcycle clubs or perhaps go into a local bike shop and ask if they know of clubs or groups that could help you. Have a look on the internet if there are any bikers cafe in your area, evenings and weekends there will be loads of bikers travelling to these places. perhaps you could speak to the owner of the cafe who could put you in touch with someone. Failing that why not try talking to your local Police traffic officers as most of them are bikers and will know of groups probably able to help. Good luck hope you get it arranged for him it must have been a tough few years for both of you.

  3. Have you tried David Silver? and how about giving these people a ring Powerhouse • Powerhouse Automotive
  4. If everything was put back together properly and tightened up it could be a buckled wheel caused by a Guerilla changing the tire or wheel bearings failing.
  5. That is a Honda CB550k3 if im not mistaken
  6. A bit more info would help ie year, mileage was it running ok the last time it was used. Check basics first as Nick said has it got petrol has it a fuel tap and is it turned on. Is the kill swith turned off. Is the side stand down so it wouldnt start unless the clutch lever is in. How old is the battery and is it fully charged. Is the spark plug in a decent condition and you have a decent spark. Are the battery connections tight.

  9. Hi there I wonder if one of the fork tubes had been replaced before. Have a look at this parts diagram and it looks like the tubes carry the same part number. Honda CG125 1996 (T) ENGLAND FRONT FORK - buy FRONT FORK spares online (cmsnl.com) . Have a look on webmoto website too and compare their listing.
  10. Sounds like carb set up wrong and running to rich, could be blocked crap airfilter or wrong/worn jets. Could be the needle jet is worn out letting to much fuel through. As the carb is over 40 years old its time to strip the carb down and check all the parts to see if the parts are worn out and if needed a new service kit.
  11. Have a look at this website JustPark - The Parking App | Find parking in seconds i used this when I went to the TT last time and we were meeting up with others and I needed to park my car somewhere safe for a week. Each time I did it I picked a private house with off street parking Knowing the car was safe. Worth a look.

  13. Ive seen loads on bikes over the years mostly to do with Model or engine size in the numbers or letters. Personally not my sort of thing I dont see the point.
  14. Good morning all, the racing is live on on the BBC i player from about 9.30am . 6 races in total and the weather looks perfect for once.
  15. With a disc cutter slice a bit off the correct size allen key that will drop in the allen bolt then just tighten said allen key with a open ended spanner. Or am I reading it all wrong.
  16. Has it got a sidestand or clutch cut out switch. Did you have side stand down and clutch not pulled in??? Or it could be fulty switches. Check basic things first is battery charged and all connections good, check fuses, check wiring to starter relay and to starter. Have you got enough petrol in the bike.
  17. Racing starts this afternoon with practice in the morning, it is live on the BBC i player.
  18. Bosco that is plainly not acceptable on a new bike. You need to write a letter to the supplying dealer and copy in Honda Uk puting them on notice there is rust appearing on a 2 month old bike and under the consumer rights 2015 a product has to be Fit for purpose of reasonable quality and last a reasonable length of time. It is not acceptable for rust to be appearing and you expect this to be resolved. Include pictures and any evidence you have. You have a warranty from honda but that is just something offered my manufactuers the Consummer rights act 2015 trumps this and it is law. Do not get fobbed off and dont sort the rust out yourself as the dealer will probably try yo blame you for the rust. If there is another Honda dealer in your area go for a ride and ask them for an opinion on the rust and what they would do. Set a timeline that you want a reply by or you will be taking it further. Good luck.
  19. Just buy a honda C50 stepthru they have been around for fifty plus years do 100 miles to the gallon can be serviced by anyone and you can hang your shopping on the hook on the headstock.
  20. If you cant get the chain through the wheel put it through a frame rail or between the forks and then a piece of street furniture ie lamppost, road sign or something so the scum cannot just pick up the scooter and walk off with it.
  21. Round 2 of British Superbikes at Oulton Park will be shown live on D Max channel 39 on freeview on Sunday and Bank Hoilday Monday.
  22. For those that like road racing the NW200 starts next wednesday 8th May with practice and Thursday morning to. Then Thursday afternoon the racing starts. Saturday is the big day with a revised race schedule and lets hope theyget good weather. You can watch it all live via the BBC I player just go to the Northern Island section.
  23. Have a look on this site at a diagram of your headlight assembly and hopefully you can work out what part has been cut out. Yamaha YBR125ED 2009 3D99 EUROPE 1H3D9-300E1 34 HEADLIGHT - buy original 34 HEADLIGHT spares online (cmsnl.com) I would of thought the bulb is a two filiment type with a dip and high beam so at least two wires possibly three if the bulb doesnt earth through the headlight mounting. Have a search for a wiring diagram for your model so you know what you are looking for. Good luck.
  24. Hi there a bit more info is needed where is the wire broken ? is it at a connector block or just a broken wire. If its just a worn through wire either solder it together again and tape or heat shrink it. If its broken at a connector block you can release the broken off spade connector with a very small pick or screwdriver. Then get a new terminal/spade connector of the same design and size to replace it. Make sure you have enough slack so the wire is not pulling at the connector if it is add a short length of wire of the same rating. If you are unsure of how to do a decent repair have a look on you tube at a few vids for advice. Good luck.
  25. Hi there welcome to the forum, as you are importing the bike from the Uk you have to inform customs when you import it then there are duties on the value of the used bike plus VAT on top of that. You will then have to register the bike in Ireland so you can get a road fund licence. Your best bet is to go on to the Ireland gov site and read up on importing a vehicle and the hoops you have to jump through. When working out how much the bike is worth try and get a few valuations from ads and dealers and a bit of research on that model as the lower the figure the less customs duty to pay. Good luck.
