  1. Or just perhaps maybe buy another tent before?
  2. ps I think you need some variety in that collection. Time to mix it up?
  3. Nice. I note the voluminous barn space and beautiful acreage is cleverly disguised behind a normal looking house
  4. Ah yes so I see 3 it would be. And who said you can’t have three bikes? pushing it now
  5. Umm ok I’m lost on this cos all the images google throw up that have international obviously in the title look like the one I posted that was close but no cigar. There are others similar but without the international tag. Your gonna have to get more descriptive or try a Google search n click on ‘images’. If you find what you like press n hold the image and an options menu appears including ‘save image’ then we may see this bike! Anyway if not then this one?
  6. Oh they very much are a lot of fun and like you say not a touring bike. But Mr Clearlyretiredslighltyloadedandnospring chicken who says you can’t have two bikes??
  7. I’ve not looked yet. Been shovelling leftover chinese down the cakehole. Hang on.
  8. Here’s a bit of modern insectoid predator I like.
  9. Reckon it’s likely to be out of reach dreams from yesteryear that will be the main feature.
  10. When I was heavily into cycling and the distances got longer and the time out in the sun passed what my pasty skin could handle I used thick zinc cream. It was a hell of a sight because it was piled on as thickly as it would go and flys would get stuck in it so my face looked like a sh*tty piece of fly paper. It was also extremely tickley and distracting having insects squirm to their death on your face. So I came up with the bright idea of dusting the surface.. but with what? Hmm A quick rummage around and the options were talc, sand or glitter. The talc I’d look terrifyingly like a plague victim and I didnt want to frighten children, the sand well derma abrasion for hours is a no no so... yep I took the glitter shaker and proceeded to do what no sane person would but hey I’ve never cared what others think of me and this was practical. Everyone got well out of my way, I got a wide berth on the train (plenty of room for my bike), I terrified a cafe owner who sat me out the back in the corner of a garden and I ended up saying “it’s for charity” just so people could stop being frightened by the nutter with the glittery face. Worked though- no burning, well from the sun at least
  11. You’d be happier in it if it was glittery skin
  12. Good spot yer @Bender what’s man glitter?!
  13. Good luck. Take it easy my lightweight partner in crime Don’t forget to take some water to bed with you for the desiccation that’s always somehow a surprise!
  14. Two new ones turned up in today’s post. As I’m currently reading two others they might have to wait a while.
  15. Large amounts of good on you Husoi it’s a brilliant thing to do. Keep us up to date with how it’s going
  16. When I look at this photo Neil I can’t help but think someone of quality must have accidentally bred with you How’s that for a back handed compliment?
  17. Thanks s-westerly. I’m very happy for him, he needed that boost. I always think it’s marvellous watching your children doing something you can’t do yourself. Like maybe perhaps genetics and happenstance have made improvements.
  18. Very happy Son just had a nerve wracking interview for Guildford (yes on a Saturday?!) where he had to audition and at the end they immediately offered him an unconditional place. So he has that option in his back pocket, takes a lot of pressure off. But the thing that’s really made me happy is he really doesn’t like his voice and would avoid singing, he’d just started (with a lot of encouragement) to open up a bit when a previous not so nice girlfriend (who has a superb singing voice) told him he really can’t sing and shouldn’t... grrr. His voice is limited in range but it’s deep, slightly gravelly and powerful so it sounds good, he doesn’t sound like a mere 18yr old. So he gets to the end of the audition and they tell him he’s also got a great sounding voice and sings well, he’s made up.
  19. I never had you pegged for a pepper pig bedtime story kind of guy
