  1. TLDR- get them. Two sets of custom plugs before taking the plunge on the custom earbuds with filters and built in earphones (with 2 dynamic drivers). Very very good but imo extremely overpriced for what they are. I suppose the proof of the pudding is would I by another pair if these broke and yes I would. I have 'mercury earplugs' and my husband has 'custom fit guards' (the two main companies you'll come across at shows) both are so similar theres not a lot in it. Both companies take far far longer to deliver than they say they will. I didn't go for the bluetooth version as they seem to have had some issues and personally Im fed up with wireless stuff with poor connectivity. On this front the custom fit guards have the edge as you can pay for removable wires and as they are so thin its good to easily be able to replace them. My other half had them just one week before I heard a shriek as he zipped the wire into his jacket Somehow though the tiny wire was fine. Custom fit guards will also come to you to do the mould. Moulded plugs take a bit of getting used to. Cheaper less effective plugs are more comfortable. Depends if you think fully protecting your hearing is worth it. I would if ordering them ask that they make them as low profile as possible because before asking for this I had a pair that stuck out too far and hurt my ears. Another deafy here so have experienced the frustrations that comes with deafness and would say for most people its a creeping degeneration that by the time you notice its too late to reverse so its worth looking after what you've got.
  2. Being a bloke it probably wasn’t to read the manual
  3. Well the young folk got a hell of a lot of accusations hurled about not following the rules, seems right to even things up a bit On a marvellous positive note Somerset has not recorded a single hospitalisation or death for 9 consecutive days in the over 70’s
  4. Yep the traffics stacked. The boomers are safe so they no longer care about the rules
  5. I’m sure someone will let you sleep on the floor when everything’s booked

  11. Anyway whotcha mean no ones doing anything cos of lockdown? I took Mr SCM for his jab today and had to queue in traffic! Loads of mobikes out and being ridden in what I can only describe as a “I only just got this bike and so I’m riding very very carefully” type fashion
  12. Yer ‘copy’ what you want to keep first if it matters. If you refresh the page before the ‘forward’ it always does the trick.
  13. Even the Facebook generation are quiet at the moment- thank goodness, the emails telling me someone tapped something yesterday about something they did years ago are tiresome!
  14. Click ‘back’ Then forward again (you know the back n forward arrows on your device?) and a black strip appears with ‘clear editor’ written in it. Click that and it all disappears
  15. Sounds good. Is the bbq for that fish stored in a beach hut 100 miles away?
  16. If the pub did thermidor... I over seasoned the fries with paprika but apart from that it was a good rendition or was that the Chablis I had with it Mr SCM had his jab today so celebrations had to be had.
  17. I do like the varying degree’s of legit The shortest route is clearly most sensible as is picking up a fish supper on the way home- making use of one journey for two purposes is environmentally friendly
  18. Yep my replacement thermostat was only in stock in Taunton 20 miles away... shame
  19. Is there something you need for kitchen renovations that’s only available at a store many many miles away...
