Actually I don't trust China to make a damned thing and whenever possible try not to buy something from there even if it costs more. -
Never owned one but it was THE bike i lusted after when I was 17.

Bought a new exhaust system for my bike. As its made to order it shoul be ready before I get home in May.

Your exhaust looks very spiffy although I'd give the bags a miss. -
Apparently because it's cheaper that way. Manufacturers make for the European market and that includes us along with all the other non EU countries in the region. Plus our net zero loons don't want to be outdone by EU eco-loons.

Ditto here. Took pity on my ineffective efforts in physics and gave me some help. 45 years married now. -
Round my neck of the woods the loudest bikes are 125's with the usual high pitched noise. When I get home I'll be fitting an after market exhaust system to my bike which is no louder than the OEM but is a hell of a lot more aesthetic imo.

My wife and I like wild camping in the more remote hilly parts of the country from Scotland down to Dartmoor.For that we use light weight gear and depending on the season medium to heavy weight down sleeping bags. Good and warm and always dry even in stormy weather. If I'm on the bike it's hotels every time.

Whenever we do a job that involves o rings we always replace them with new as there's nothing worse than boxing something up and finding its leaking due to a "used but good" o ring. Not conducive to happy sailors.

I've bought enough cheap crap on Ebay to not be doing it anymore. I know what I'd be buying but......Caveat Emptor as they say.

I'm obviously weird cos I quite like London. Wouldn't want to live there nor ride my bike there but usually visit a couple of times a leave and enjoy it. Not so keen on the inhabitants mind.

Probably not needed BUT if you can afford them and do use them and have space - why not? Unfortunately I don't have space and serious marital discord would result if I did go for a second. Plus I'd probably not get the use with being away a lot.

This weekend is work. This was yesterday. Finished at 0530 this morning started another at 1300 this afternoon. Another scheduled for 1600 tomorrow. Sometimes I earn my dosh.Mine is NOT the rusty heap on the right!

One of the advantages of the f word is it's pretty global so when I'm snarling at one of my multinational crew they all know when I'm disgruntled. Tend to use it when I'm really trying to make a point. So several times a day in general. Subtle sarcasm is rather wasted.

To be honest I prefer Scottish weather to equatorial tropics like Indonesia as well as Singapore, Malaysia etc etc. Hot, humid and torrential downpours are not my thing. I'm a cold weather man myself. I wish Husoi well though and hope it's all he hopes it will be.

I've got the X1 and it works well enough. I use it when I'm visiting my Dad along with an alarmed disc lock. Not sure how well it'll deter a serious thief but it will stop the casual one I think. Also although my bike isn't cheap neither is it on the must have list.
