I've looked at getting an after market screen and if I do I'm looking at possibly a Givi or a Calsci one. The trouble is they are by definition big and not very attractive to the eye. This is where vanity comes into play. Also I've done long motorway ride with the OEM touring screen and survived so do I really need to be in a bubble of silence (relatively).?

There are various colour restore potions on the market. I used one from Muc-Off to restore some faded black plastics on my previous bike and it worked quite well.

Assuming I'm home I might do bit of that as on the 5th I have to do the naughty boy course.

Haircuts are no longer an issue for me as I've not got much left.

The one I'm thinking about is a Mistral version which is sold by a Guzzi specialist and according to the blurb doesn't need re-mapping. So I'm guessing it should be OK but.... I really like the bike just not too keen on the end can. Bloody ugly imo.

Scooter or Shooter ?
I'd actually written scrote but the wretched spell check changed it and I didn't notice.

exactly right. It’s a real boon when I go off gallivanting to foreign parts where it ain’t half hot. (Mum) that and the flip all helps when the sun is so hot I could fry an egg on the tank. The tanks also white so that picturesque little analogy doesn’t really help. But hey ho.i don’t really worry too much about being visible or not… though I mostly am. Mostly. Except to German pensioneers. (Rarely)
anyroad. Comfort is everything. So that’s my excuse. They do tend to be cheaper sometimes too which just adds to the sense of outrageous smuggery. And couldn’t give a figness.
Absolutely agree and I'd forgotten about plain white being usually the cheapest. Certainly not going to pay an additional £100 just for graphics.

Some little scooter apparently took a potshot at my wife's car while she was on a quiet section of the M5. Hit the windscreen which now needs replacing. A bit peeved.

Yesterday in an owners forum I happened to mention that I was thinking of changing the end can of my exhaust. I would leave the hideous cat unit but swap out the end can. The responses I got made me somewhat irked. Basically I got called every kind of idiot known to man for even thinking about messing up this finely tuned instrument blah blah blah. I make no claims to being any kind of expert in this field so if its a potentially damaging thing to do then obviously I won't. If its harmless then I will. Any opinions on the forum? Not that I'll necessarily listen to them mind!

Still don't like the 2CV so there. However I did learn to drive in my dad's Citroën DS. Now that was a car worthy of the name.

I thought they'd just about banned parades unless it meets a suitable degree of political correctness?
-
I didn't know they were designed. Thought they were someone's 3 year old drawing a "car".

Its the movements made in the final 80 minutes of the procedure. Its not exactly rapid. Think kerbside parking on steroids.

I squeezed into a set of leathers built in 2010 for something smaller than I used to be at 08:30 this morning
I wish I could. Serious surgery would be required.

Quite like the Piston Club myself. Enjoyed looking at your pics of bikes too until the last one of some hideous French monstrosity.

You know, it's maybe just as well this is not a Scotch based Forum. There's a possibility the Hate Thought Polis might be taking an interest in a remark like that.
Yep. As of April 1st ( and isn't that the right date!) Scotland will become a pound shop North Korea with its very own thought police. Forget about catching criminals that's not on the cards at all. Mind you the rest of the UK isn't much better.

Presumably all was not well in the world of work. Hopefully you find something to do which ticks all the right boxes for you.

That would be more than a bit annoying and in the worst possible place as well. I think bast*rd would have been the most genteel comment I might have made.

Sights on the riverbank
in Ride Reports and Pictures

I could see them properly last night. Was quite taken with the house stuck on a navigation marker on the river ( not a chimney methinks!) and the house that looked it was about to fall in.
