  1. Speak for yourself my good man. My excuse is I don't have a garage but personally I really don't like spannering. I have a perfectly good son in law for that.
  2. Still morning here. A bit warm - 28C and sunny as per the view from my office.
  3. If you mean a switch that sets all your indicators to flashing then yes I have such on the Ducati and I think it's a legal requirement. Can't be difficult to wire in though.
  4. My parents used to belt me if I got belted at school. Just about a weekly experience until I got to 13 when I learned to be more crafty.
  5. It's warm and sunny in Houston at the moment but having to work with idiots is doing nothing for my sanity.
  6. My younger 2 grandchildren (4 & 2) aren't too bad. Mainly as steely granny spent a lot of time with them and there's a reason she's known as Granny No. Still prone to normal small children arguments but can be reasoned with.
  7. Wot? There's an app now?
  8. DLR lights are front only so if they are on you have no rear lights which is a bit of a no no.
  9. Last November I rode from Gloucestershire to Northumberland via Birmingham (for a medical) so at least 5 hours on the road in torrential rain the entire way. Arrived bone dry. Halvarssons laminated gear. Cheaper than Rukka but not as well put together and I'm likely to change it this winter.
  10. It's alive!
  11. Rabbit imo isn't very gamey at all. It's okay though I greatly prefer hare and that is gamey and more expensive. 15 quid for one at my game dealer.
  12. The small range is a killer for me. I don't commute by bike but regularly travel from Gloucestershire to Northumberland so it would take me days on this unattractive two wheeler.
  13. So anyone making a bet on the winners of the Rugby World Cup? My money is on South Africa as they'll eat England whole and I can't see NZ being troubled by Argentina.
  14. Even in a company store the token would actually have bought something unlike 10p today.
  15. Kind of missed the point there?
  16. Still warm and sunny now in Gulf of Mexico. Bit windy but nothing to bad - Force 6. At least its a quiet Sunday at sea which is always pleasant.
  17. I'm with that man! Not quite so decrepit but getting there.
  18. Think I prefer my 22 C off the coast of Florida.
  19. I've no issues with medicals per se but I really don't see the point of yet another layer of bureaucratic interference in my life. Obviously I'm not going to have an annual work related medical when I retire. Try and avoid the quack as much as possible anyway. More mandatory anything and I'm against it on principle.
  20. I'm over 60 and I can't say I'm keen on this idea although I have to have an annual medical for my work. As to old drivers I agree there are some total half wits on the road but all my near misses have not involved older drivers. Opposite in fact.
  21. I can't do that- I sweat buckets if I do and end up with soaking wet hands and feet. Stick with expensive waterproof boots and gloves for that.
  22. I suppose a positive is I don't expect you can do much DIY. Least ways it would be for me but I'm not renovating a Cumbrian farm house.
  23. I like bacon and eggs too but we ran out of bacon 2 weeks ago. Got more yesterday but still not defrosted. Have to wait until next Sunday now. Woke up this morning to torrential rain and the tail end of a hurricane. Keeps life interesting.
  24. I wouldn't call winning against Samoa by a single point as a stunning win. The only consolation is the quarters will be either Fiji or Australia so we have a small chance of making the semis before we get obliterated by France. Performance has been total crap imo.
