  1. Looks really really good.
  2. I go at the posted limit in towns and villages. Might not agree with 20 mph but in a lot of Europe they've had 30 kph in villages for years. NSL I tend to take a chance on.
  3. My cheapest (and one I use) is 144.9 from a Shell garage. That's for E10. The cheapest I know of is Sainsbury in Bishop Auckland which I believe is in the 130's at the moment.
  4. Looks really really good.
  5. Sustainability- in the modern parlance wtf is that supposed to mean? The parent company (Swedish) of the group I work for put out a group wide directive about "Sustainability" which having read it left me completely in the dark and clueless about its point. I got the idea it was to do with the weather getting a bit warmer and that more vegetarian meals would be a good idea. Try telling that to some crusty old seamen plus trying to have fresh veg on a 45 day sea passage isn't practical. Reckon they've employed the Swedish gnome St. Greta.
  6. I noticed during g my recent ride up to Northumberland and back that there seems to be more of an effort suppressing any kind of speedy progress. So much managed motorway where all 4 lanes chug along at 65, cameras all over the place and increasing numbers of mobile speed cameras on bridges over motorways. Really makes m'ways even more of a drag. At least in Germany on most autobahns you can go as fast as you dare and make progress.
  7. The nob in the straight on lane of a roundabout who turned left without any indication whatsoever straight across my front. No idea how I didn't hit him.
  8. A Japanese 125 is always going to be an improvement on a 50cc moped.
  9. Mostly E10. Now and again I'll give it E5 and if I'm laying it up before I go back to sea I'll fill it with E5. TBH I'm not that bothered either way.
  10. This particular bottle is £60. There are cheaper (and more expensive) options.
  11. Taxed it for another year. Would be nice if government made an effort to spend road fund on roads!
  12. My birthday prezzie from.my Dad.
  13. Don't get sea sick myself. Also if you think the southern North Sea is rough try the bit off the west coast of Norway. That's rough.
  14. I think it depends on the kit - Nivala 2 comes with down liners.
  15. Rode it from Northumberland to Stroud. As expected the motorway was mind (and bum) numbing. The Fosse Way seemed just the thing but.....A nice sunny day and where was the sun? In my bloody eyes the whole way so by the time I got home my eyeballs felt they'd been bbq'd. Couldn't see half the bends so ended up riding like a geriatric. Was not fun.
  16. I think I'd be gibbering regardless of the dramatic effect. Weeping and wailing too.
  17. God I hate that dwarf.
  18. I know and I've done it before but it almost doubles the journey time and in summer that's fine but don't really fancy the last hundred miles or so on potentially icy unlit roads.
  19. The weight puts me off. I have to physically push my.bike backwards and uphill before I can ride it out. I can barely manage the Multistrada 950 anything heavier would probably kill me.
  20. Yeah. Try and avoid a rigid timetable where you feel forced to ride regardless of conditions.
  21. I knew there was a reason I don't like chicken.
  22. I'm riding home from Northumberland. Another 300 odd miles of bum numbing motorway probably although I might come off at Leicester and do the Fosse Way, weather permitting.
  23. After all the foregoing excitement all I'm doing is riding home on Saturday and not pissing in anyone's hot tub. How boring am I?
  24. Fairly revolting have to say.
