dispatchers used derry boots at one time -
when i wash my bike i get it covered in soap suds then wash it off with a watering can with a rose on it you cant go overboard doing it that way

i have never worried about the fuel consumption on a bike, years ago i had a 72 range rover v8 now that worried me needless to say a month after i bought it the thing was back in autotrader and was sold never to be seen again thank god

a few years ago there was a series of bike programmes on the one eyed monster called - two wheels better- and one week there was a guy on and he said that motorcycling was a very selfish hobby, what he probably meant was when you are on your bike you can go whichever direction you want and don't have to listen to anybody sat next you burbling on all the time about the route to take and which relative to visit on the way home

i used to have a vfr 400 and the slogan on the bottom of the plate read - when i grow up i want to be an rc30

in winter i used some stuff called trico and that did the same as acf50 and that was in the 70's and i had a brown bike all winter
