  1. I would maybe look at putting 10w back in?
  2. I’ve recently swapped my springs for Hyperpro progressive and they came with 10w. The OE is only 5w. I’ve only ridden 3 times since the swap but they are definitely better. I couldn’t tell the difference on the first ride. The second I wasn’t sure, but today I’ve been out and can definitely tell. I think it just took me a few rides to get used to them. The front doesn’t dive half as much as before when applying the front brake. They are soaking whatever the road is throwing at me and it feels so much more precise in the bends. The front no longer feels vague, which I hadn’t really noticed before as I must have just got used to it. I’m entering bends quicker than I was before as I have confidence in the front. Not that I didn’t have confidence before. It just better. I can’t wait for the rear shock to arrive!!
  3. Nice one Stu. You need to get rid of that advertising logo on the side though
  4. I use MyRouteapp. I discovered it about 4 years ago and paid something like £50 for lifetime gold membership as an early adopter. I think new members are now offered an annual subscription. There is a free version which works ok , but obviously to get the most out of it you have to pay. The full version is very comprehensive allowing you to set waypoints and what kind of stops you will take, be it fuel or cafe, and also set how long the stop will be in 10 min intervals. This will then be calculated into the time of the route. There are webinars and instructional videos on how to get the most from the app. It has overlays depending on which navigation system you use so you can compare. The primary map is Openstreet, which is not quite as good as Google maps. The app initially used Google maps for years, and they were trying to get some sort of deal with Google, but Google pulled the plug. This is not a problem as I pull up Google maps onto another screen on my PC if I need to. Once I’ve sorted my route I can send it to my TomTom via my account and the next time I turn my unit on it’s ready and waiting for me. I think if you have a Garmin for instance you can drag and drop the file.
  5. Look at the Rukka forsair summer gloves. They are amazing at keeping your hands cool in the summer.
  6. I used to have a Scorpion stubby in chrome on my ‘02 600F. It sounded awesome. Other mods; Double bubble dark tinted screen Rear fender Braided hoses. Heated grips. (if you want to extend your biking season) I would also change the oil as a minimum on your suspension. I guarantee that it will have not been changed since it rolled out the factory so will be long overdue a service. Other than than that not much more you can add to the bike
  7. You want to be looking at anything with mesh in the title.
  8. That’s at the moment. Wait until they’ve forced the majority into EVs even at home. There will be a higher rate to charge your car. That’s if the infrastructure doesn’t collapse before then…..
  9. Picked my forks up after having the new springs put in. Put the bike back together. Didn’t start until 19:30 as that’s what time I got back from picking them up. All done by 22:00 Test day tomorrow….
  10. Just another way to get more money out of people. If your car or bike doesn’t run on E10 you can still put E5 premium for an extra cost. If you do want to run E10 then it’s still going to cost more due to less mpg.
  11. Looks like a spoiler of some sort.
  12. Hyperpro. Both shock and front springs are progressive.
  13. Has he been getting the hand me downs all his life?
  14. Just arrived today. Rear shock is due in June. 6 week turn around. Dropping the forks off next week.
  15. New group I’ve discovered. They were on the Jonathan Ross show the other week. Their latest Album is Typhoon They have 2 other albums from 2017 & 2014
  16. I still think Hydrogen is the way to go. It’s a direct replacement for the fuels we use now, so no need to overhaul the infrastructure we have. Fill up drive/ride to empty, fill up in 10 mins drive/ride repeat. The national grid won’t be able to cope. The Government will have to find a way to claw back the billions they lose in fuel tax, so I imagine the electric you use to charge your vehicle will not be as cheap as it is now.
  17. I can attest to this when I got my Versys. The Bridgestone rear only lasted about 4K.
  18. I like this guy Food for thought
  19. I’ve just looked at the price of these. My phone can stay in my tank lock bag!
  20. Last night and this morning. I put a set of braided hoses on. Just got to get the bike back together without having any bolts, screw & clips left over. 5 panels, 1 nose cone and 5 separate screen brackets to go back lol
  21. A quick Google ”Motorcycle restorers uk” brought up 40 hits. Have a look and give the closest ones to you a call.
  22. What’s the difference between a fanny and an oven? The oven doesn’t fart when you take the meat out.
