Battery on Bench (well kitchen table) 13.3v on bike with wiring connected 13.28 with ignition on with indicator on it just kept dropping, I turned it off at 12.2 With ignition off it looked like battery was recovering. trying to start it the voltage plummeted to 5.7 volts. I did not try it with it started because it has just started to throw it down.

thanks Stu. Got a battery for my multimeter coming. I left it on. I will measure as you describe, wil need to bump start it to get it going to measure with it running. will obviously have to buy a new charger as well

Should get a new battery for multi meter within the next couple of hours.

Hello groovy gang. the other day my bike struggled to start. It did, twenty minutes later I stopped, it started again, I stopped five minutes later for fuel I had to bump start it. I rode it for 30 miles. Next morning it would not start. I can hear the starter motor trying and getting weaker and weaker. my thinking was because it runs fine when started it’s not charging system and likely battery. Is that right? regarding batteries is there a difference between yb12a-a and fb12a-a? is there anything I should know given my sea anemone mechanical skills?

That looks good! Have fun

The thing I wish I had known was don’t buy Chinese. I loved my new Chinese lexmoto 125 and didn’t have any serious issues over the 18 months I owned it and 6000 miles however I lost 75% of the value. For that reason alone I would not buy a Chinese bike at the moment.

I think a week is enough, if doubtful you could always book a CBT for about a hundred quid and get a day of practicing in the parking area and then out on the roads or another taster session on a 125 to iron out some kinks

@Ian Frog Hoot as in fun time the water was Bloomin cold when I first got in but got used to it. @Bender yes it was but when I put the tent up and left it on the side the swimming was easier. thanks for the grammar help gang. -

Halloooo gang, been away from the internet camping and wild swimming. Been a hoot and a welcome break. -
@Stu just deleting stuff is not good enough. If Six was doing this with racial slurs he would get a ban (I hope).

Does it take effort to manifest such prickish behaviour or does it come naturally?

I know I could ignore and scroll past but I won’t. Leave the ‘gays’ stuff out of it ey?

I somehow need to fit into my rainbowwokepansexualgenderfluid outfit. Even if only to annoy the homophobes

Just constructed my large brassica tent at the allotment. Planted 11 Cavello Nero and 11 callabrese. Got to put some time in tomorrow because I am away for a week.
