  1. If you get the chance go and see the off road clever kids on the 1300 at the NEC show. Proper talented little buggers who appear to be having a lot of fun in a limited space. Cheers Ian
  2. I will hop the chrome cover off a bit later and take a pic. My filter came from Uppingham and I have found that both they and Vee Twin in Northampton can do the ecu flash so then I can do a true comparison. Cheers Ian
  3. Hi @fastbob You really need to work less hard lol. What I have photographed is the original back plate and filter that I have removed and the label is from the stage 1 kit I have installed. My hope is your set up is already a stage 1 filter as your pipes are already in place and I found it ran absolutely spot on. Cheers Ian
  4. Hi @fastbob Back plate with and without filter and label from stage1 filter. standard chrome cover goes back after the change so hopefully you have it already. Cheers Ian
  5. When I am next in the garage I will photograph the standard one I have just taken off if it helps? Cheers Ian
  6. On my stage 1 kit the filter had a different backplate that goes under the original cover, which is what I suspect you have. The pipes I went for are identical to the ones you have. just the remap to do as soon as I get a chance. The new p[pes are on the post that @janinej put the right way up for me last weekend lol. Cheers Ian
  7. Hi Bob I never actually took the battery out as I just used the maintenance cables for my Optimate. Your bike already has the stage 1 and what I a doing to the new one is just copying what I experienced before. Your bike was always a good starter and I found it a much smoother runner than other Harley`s I have encountered. Cheers Ian
  8. So far unridden but it seems to start easier and the tickover isn`t as lumpy. I suspect there are lean spots in the original mapping for emission targets. I will report back once new map completed and test mileage under my belt. Cheers Ian
  9. That looks really nice, I wonder if I will be the only one who sees a bit of the Hesketh in there? Probably better built though. Cheers Ian
  10. No such luck. I probably wouldn`t be allowed in and in all honesty I still like the good old UK. Cheers Ian
  11. If you are getting both knees down maybe time to consider a slightly larger bike ! Cheers Ian
  12. Hi Well I have gone full circle and new Dyna is on the bench getting it's stage 1. The Fatboy was an awesome bit of kit but I missed the smaller bike.Don't know why it's clinging to the ceiling lol. Cheers Ian
  13. If your having dinner with your Mum on Sunday best omit the Wotsit`s then. Cheers Ian
  14. Hi @Mawsley I am 2 years in on the HJC RPHA Carbon which has built in Sena capability with none of the problems you mention including all day use on a charge for the intercom. I accept it1s not a flip front but I would guess their range may have something in it that would suit you. Give me a shout if you want to have a good close look at it. Cheers Ian
  15. I would actually go with A and while you are waiting for an answer proceed directly to C thus ensuring maximum effect. Cheers Ian
  16. Good to see you about again. Hope you are having fun. Cheers Ian
  17. Shame the tyres are both flat and that annoying disc lock put on by persons unknown make his rescue before the deadline difficult. Cheers Ian
  18. Well got the new Harley home and I think this is the first time I have wheeled something on to the bench and struggled to find anything to clean lol. New pipes, air filter and plugs on their way . Cheers Ian
  19. Bought it and it`s at home awaiting new exhaust pipes and air filter. I am under strict instruction to only do things to this one which can be reversed back to standard if needed. Cheers Ian
  20. White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits. There superstious duty fulfilled. Cheers Ian
  21. Well because @fastbob has posted how much he is enjoying my old Dyna I know there is no chance of buying her back again. As a result when I got rid of the Fatboy I have found this. Believe it or not 2008 one owner and only 1557 miles since birth. Checked all previous MOT`s and mileage is genuine so I have swooped ! Cheers Ian
  22. Motorcycle live at the N.E.C is coming up in November. Cheers Ian
  23. I believe the clip for attachment is similar to the kind of thing used for a dog lead or keys etc so should be simple to operate and has already been said it`s just a matter of getting the memory to connect to become automatic rather like the wearing of seatbelts. Cheers Ian
  24. Tethered as in a fixed lanyard attached to the bike so in the event of an off the jacket is triggered. Think of the hi-viz string showing someone when their disc lock is fitted sort of thing. Cheers Ian
  25. I wonder if you could email him and say something along the lines of : I understand someone has gone to the trouble of recoding the ignition etc which was giving me trouble if I had decided to try to get the thing running, having spent so much time and effort on this would you consider selling me this non-runner so I can finally get this sorted as a non running bike bugs me. You never know he might decide you know enough to succeed and he wont lol. Cheers Ian
