On the way back to the pub we are staying in we met up with [mention]Six30[/mention] and had a civilised chat and a drink on the terrace at the Gate pub in Tansley. I think he would make a good mod if a forum was looking for one. Cheers Ian

driving licence insurance you mean motor trade insurance. I think someone means a Rider Policy . "Rider policy" Now there`s a blast from the past! Always used to get the Norwich Union rider policy back in the eighties. Dont know when they dropped doing them but I am sure most of us used them. Because of postcode price variations we used to have about 8 of us registered to the same one bedroom flat in Hove when we were despatch riding in London lol. Cheers Ian

Had a coffee at the sausage this morning with the Busa and Carol really breezy but nice to be out. Off to Matlock in the morning and staying over for a couple of nights so will have a bimble about and hopefully meet up with [mention]Six30[/mention] on Thursday. Cheers Ian

From what I remember from having 2 new Nissan pick up trucks [mention]Bender[/mention] is spot on the VAT registration number on your receipt is the crucial bit. However I expect the manufacturer will probably kick up in the event of a warranty issue hoping you arent aware of your rights and he can save a couple of quid. I have only bought 2 bikes new since 1979 and in both cases I got the first and from memory the second services thrown in. Good luck, Cheers Ian

Nothing new under the sun. I remember seeing an advert from the 50`s or early 60`s of a revolving visor in front of the riders face to disperse water. Again just put the c**t sticker on your lid lol. Cheers Ian

[mention]dynax[/mention] Has it spot on. Originally one of the key factors defining a moped was the ability to be propelled by the pedals without the engine. These pedals became largely decorative and in practical terms totally useless. Our government then added to the definition with a restriction to 30 mph. Cheers Ian

Good advice from [mention]bonio[/mention] I would make sure the letter goes to the dealer (Sales Manager and if possible area Manager) and acopy tohead of Sales and Marketing at BMW UK. Personally I would probably cc Motor Cycle News just in case they bother to open their post just a thought but I don't believe they have the kudos or market respect they used to.
