  1. Are non-triumphs allowed Bob?
  2. Any change of direction, or lane change regardless of whether you are indicating or not requires a shoulder check to the side that you are going. Right if going right etc.. The are called lifesavers for a reason..
  3. Option c for me. I considered getting a 125 after doing the cbt but was advised by my instructor not to bother, so I didn't and it doesn't seem to have done me any harm. I can't remember exactly how may lessons I had but I reckon I paid a total of £400-£500 including the test fee's and cbt.
  4. If the weather is decent I may drop down and meet you all there for the ride back
  5. I have classes on Tuesdays so can't make it
  6. I've got a Delkevic can on my GSX and for the money I can't complain. Fits well, looks and sounds good and has a removable baffle if you want it really loud (I leave mine in as it feels down on torque when its removed). The only thing I have noticed, and I'm being picky is that the stainless steel has slightly discoloured from the heat. Not a problem for me when you consider the cost compared to other known makes.
  7. Bought Soulfly's new album, Enslaved today although not had a chance to listen to it, and also a best of/compilation album of Jimi Hendrix songs.
  8. If I was in your position I'd get a push bike and stop walking to work.. Then I'd do the CBT and get a cheap 125 to run around on. Do the theory test between now and September and then when you are 22 do the DAS and get your full licence. The law changes in January iirc so plenty of time. Also use the time to save some cash to buy yourself an older 600 for when you pass. No need to go buying a brand new bike straight away, especially on finance! Chances are you'll drop/crash it anyway and it will cost a bomb to repair.
  9. Congrats! It's almost my 2 year anniversary Time flies when you're having fun!
  10. Bloody typical of the weather to get better when everyone has to go back to work!
  11. Hartford Mill, Kings Arms and Red Lion. The piece of paper does have 76 on it, honest guv Hartford Mill The Kings Arms Red Lion
  12. Just got home. I stumbled across a Red Lion pub on the way back so I grabbed another tag. Didn't get one at Rutland but I'm sure I'll be there again soon Was good to meet you guys, although I can't remember who you all are
  13. Just filled the bike up with fuel and air and if it's decent I'll meet you at the Marina about 10. Looks like I'm going to knock the Southend run on the head though..
  14. Nice one Dave....see ya at the Marina if weather is OK. Did go down a few years back in snow flurries.....wasn't fun....and that was on my Trophy with full fairing and heated grips!.... Bugger that! My definition of decent weather is warm, bright sunshine and dry roads. Anything less and it's crap imo lol
  15. Congrats! Nice choice of bike too!
  16. Doesn't look like I'm going to Scotland now Bob so if the weather is half decent I'll meet you at the Marina.
  17. Davefly shoots, and he scores!!!
  18. I don't think going over a motorway constitutes riding ON the motorway, unless the bridge forms part of another M-way. As long as the signs on the bridge entrance and exit are green and not blue then you will be fine. Just looking at the map do you mean the road that crosses the M11 just before Saffron Walden? If so then yes, you can ride on that road.
  19. I might be riding back from Edinburgh that day but if I don't go I may drop down from King's Lynn and meet you in Huntingdon.
  20. Sounds like wheel balance issue to me. Worse case is that you've buckled the wheel when you came off and possible damaged the tyre. It might be something simple like the balancing weights have come off though. Get it to a garage asap and let them have a good look around for you Alex. Better to be safe than sorry!
  21. Why wait? Do the theory test now and start lessons as soon as you can!
