  1. A wee take-away shop with outside picnic tables. Ideal pitstop when you travel down the A93 from Aberdeen to Perth. Toilets available at the car park at Balnellan road 5min walk.
  2. Been there years ago on my Africa twin. Even worse because the embarrassment was on supermarket's car park. Put the shopping in the top box, gloves and helmet on just to ride 1/2 foot and being surprised by the sudden stop and the bike falling on its side. Since then all my disk locks have the yellow coil to the grip.
  3. That will be the same problem as if the battery dies. Tupperware off and fix it.
  4. Bet inside the trailer is the 'TBSL' (too be sorted later) area Plus unless your 7ft 8" i bet you're standing on the pile from that viewpoint Seriously? Trailer have the cooling box, the toolbox with the battery for the lights and the right-hand side pannier for the St1300 so I can walk between the bikes. And no! There is no pile of crap All cleaned and tied up before end of the year Just had to stretch my arms so it gets more in the picture.
  5. Fine, Mr suspicious git First photo having the worktop behind me, second to the right near the door
  6. One hundred fecking quid???? are you insane? I can make a whole weekend on that money Mine was made of bit and bobs I had in the garage but, even if I had to buy it would be around £20 or less.
  7. ever thought about a motor home ? Don't believe I ever seen a 2 wheel motorhome Unless you mean a gold Wing
  8. The phone socket will still draw a small current even with the LED removed if it is not switched. The conversion circuit is active all the time it is connected to 12 volts. Yes it would be. That I forget to unplug the USB adapter from the socket
  9. Hot glue is the new sticky tape.
  10. The idea just come to mind as many others I have Forgot to mention. This one is not switched. The only one would eventually need a switch would be the dual socket for the phone but I removed the LED so is a passive connection. The dual camera is removable so only comes active when plugged. Installing a switch would just mean either something to hide under the seat, meaning you would have to remove it every time you want to turn it on or run a cable to the front and connect a relay. doable but I don't think is necessary. At least not for what I need. If your friend wants I can make a simple diagram how it would be done.
  11. Let's see.. Satnav Phone, this is a normal lighter socket that allows the air pump for the air bed Dual camera Trickle charger Would still need the kettle and toaster..
  12. Before you go messing with the hoose wiring keep in mind that kitchen have its own power ring. The oven would be plugged into it. For the sound of it your kitchen ring doesn't have a connection for the oven so as long you know how to do it, you would be able to take some power from it for the oven as long you can trace the power cable.
  13. Indirectly related to the bikes. Finally I managed to clear and clean the worktop. Look how much space I have
  14. In touring we tend to have as many gadgets as possible. The problem is how to connect all of them so you don't run out of battery 100 miles away from home. I'm sure there are many other ways to do this, but this one is how I decided it works for me. Instead of 1/2 dozen wires to the battery I now have 1 additional wire. This box will allow more than 1 cable per connector so I can easily burn the battery with 8 gadgets Earth connection is with an old golden plated junction I had in my toolbox for years. As we say back home. You keep it, you find it. Works better in Portuguese I divert... The hot glue gives extra protection to moist and accidental contact with negative pole. Because all accessories are fused, I opted for a direct connection reducing the resistance to the connector.
  15. You have to keep in mind that the broadband speed they tell you is available to your router is the speed when the computer is plugged into it not WiFi speed.
  16. I simply use an old bed sheet to cover it. A dust sheet will trap moisture and will increase the risk of rusting
  17. To make it more desirable you should have crossed the old price and add the new one
  18. I would love to ride the Pan European from UK to Malaysia and back
  19. I've been an Honda guy since my first bike and have no intentions to bulge from it. The first bike I had was an Africa Twin, superb bike for learning, very forgiving and teaches you hoe to use the brakes adequately. Then I had 2 VFR800. Really fun to ride, fast, comfortable for a sport tourer. When I past the speedy Gonzales stage I went for a Pan European, heavy when you need to move it by hand but in my opinion, one of the best for long touring trips. Because I want to use the bike for commute when the weather allows I got myself a Shadow 700, light good for trips around 100 miles, still good speed and handling. All this to tell you that greatly depends on what you will be using it for. Other things to consider is if you want to ad the advantage of fairings for wind protection or not. I would start with the budget first and see what are the choices available. then see what you really want it for and go from there. Edit: I have now the Pan and the Shadow together
  20. I was about to say the same as @XTreme
  21. The only reason why I didn't ditch broadband altogether is just because the hoose thermostat is connected to the WiFi together with the freeview box. 150gb a month on virgin is more than enough for what I need.
  22. Hello guys, Posting this so nobody else have similar problems. The background story Been with EE for several years but when the contract ended the price went from under £32 to over £41. EE couldn't be bothered to give me a courtesy call asking if I wanted to sign a new contract, just a wee letter saying that the broadband price was going up. Near the end of the contract I decided to look for a greener grass... The cheapest provider (you know me, always after a bargain) was a company called OneStream (OS). their price was a whopping 23.99 for the same speed so it was a no brainer. Or was it?... Nowadays broadband work similarly to energy supplier, you pick the one you want and the "winning supplier" will deal with the transfer from the "loosing supplier". Or at least is what you would think these cowboys would do. The service was supposed to start on the 10th but only started on the 16th. So 5 days on mobile data. The router arrived the day after the engineer visit so he couldn't install or test it. The only way to contact OS is by email as their webchat service is a joke and they are as helpful as fleas on a dog. The complaints department is operated by some idiot with the commercial awareness of a potato and if you think they will do anything helpful you will be as deluded as they are. Today, 29th I signed to another provider, only today because of the holidays. Going to raise a formal complaint with the operator later today. So my contract is in effect 13 days long. If you're thinking about changing ISP (Internet Service Provider) be aware that if the grass seems greener, probably is artificial. They all work on OpenReach infrastructure they they are all rated very poorly by costumers. I won't disclose which I've signed with because I don't want to be responsible for bad experiences. Nevertheless, I have now picked the highest rated ones
  23. With the risk of being once again thick as a bolder... Since when this thread is about where you muppets have been or nor?
  24. Spraying requires as dry air as possible. Ideally around 20%, 38-40% is the minimum advised by manufacturers but if you can have it lower then you should.
