  1. The good thing about heavy bikes is that is harder to steal Nobody would even think about taking my ST1300
  2. It is really down to personal preferences. As long you take into account a more expensive insurance and road tax.
  3. That's a relief Still voting for the honda. Keep in mind that you will be able to do more with a 600 than with a heavier 1000
  4. If any of those are your first bike it will be a nice way to get yourself killed.... Being a Honda guy my vote would go to CBR1000rr
  5. This is the one I have. https://www.helmetcity.co.uk/nolan-n100-5-classic-flat-vulcan-grey-002/ Not sure if you mean the "lock open" that is common in these ones. I never used it because when in open position it holds in place.
  6. Good morning, very freakin' cold. patches of snow in the garden. Sunny north west slow wind.
  7. Illegal under current law and I can't see that ever being approved.
  8. I've been on a vegetables and fish diet for 2 years and didn't notice any difference. So I went back to meat. Greatly reduced red meat with pork rarely in the menu. If anybody will ever comes to me preaching about being vegan I'll tell them where they can stick the celery...
  9. Here I apply my gold rule 2 I don't give a f@ck Is like wolfs with sheep skin. Quacks, walks like a duck, swim like a duck but is a phoquing cabbage If they hate meat so much why does it need to look like it?
  10. If spray cans were cheaper I would go around painting "welcome to Fife" at all potholes here.
  11. Are they ending asphalt?
  12. 50 quid and I'll make it for you
  13. Please tell me you took the mother while she was pregnant...
  14. My ST was overreading by around 10%. When I change the dash lights to white I had to remove the needle. When I put it back I just place it a bit back (2 or 3 mm at the end of the needle) and it is now around 2% off.
  15. Next they will start painting "best route" lines. Like in Mario Kart... They don't have anything better where to spend the money that in that crap. Try first remove the manhole covers from the bends, that would help, instead of this shaite.

    Welcome Stu smith

    OH NOOO Another Stu...
  17. I'm still planning to have some free training with the Council support for low speed manoeuvring and control. I got the green light from them but have to wait until the lockdown ends before going anywhere. I never saw any riding school dedicating any time to it. As driving schools are only interested in getting people passing the tests and paying for it.
  18. Exactly, only last Sat I realise how "rusty" I was on the ST at moments seemed like it was my first time riding
  19. Hey Gonzalo, welcome to the forum. You should elaborate a bit more on your "rides" Are you talking about a 200 miles trip? A 10 miles trip and spend the day in the pub? What type of ride you enjoy? countryside or just around York (city rides)? I'm sure you will find someone keen in going along but you need to be a wee bit more specific
  20. I hate riding in gravel. even worse when the bike weights 300kg Dying to get the budget for paving the drive. Maybe you would need to practice slow riding skills. Most riders are worried about how fast they can ride but few consider being able to control the bike at low speed.
  21. Good morning guys. Had the periodic visit this morning, it happens every 5 years...
