  1. Replaced the locks on the panniers and top box so they all used the same key. 30 mins all in, but I have to say top service from Mad4Bikes. Parts ordered at 2pm, arrived first thing this morning.
  2. fitted the rear rack for the box, that will hopefully stop me requiring a rucksack
  3. Might as well sell it and get another next year.

Roll on Diane Abbott as the leader once she learns to count that is

Fingers crossed she brings a bit of Thatcher style back to politics. Tell the various unions who are holding all these strikes to get back to work for starters. But we all know none of this will happen, as the country went soft and spineless decades ago! The globe is being screwed by a complete lunatic with Russian blood
  7. Is there an easy(easier) way to bleed your brakes when on your own?
  8. So today I fitted some new discs and pads to the bike, but I'm not sure if it's the same bedding in process as a car. Start softly softly, then building up speed and heat into them. Correct process?
  9. Yeah I'm no hero by a long way. to get much further I'd want to be on a track. Todays achievement was to replace the front discs n pads.
  10. Took it for a ride to Eastbourne to start the scrub in process... Must try harder
  11. Had lots of deliveries and then had some new Road 6's fitted. Deliiveries were discs, pads and a harris paddock stand
  12. If the front paddock stand arrives I'll be fitting new discs n pads or getting new rubber bands fitted
  13. I quite like these are a run around when not using the bigger bike, but it's just a shame that the insurance companies hate the brand so much.
  14. @Ian Frog we'll also be heading down from Calais (eurostar) aiming to reach either Nantes or Poitiers for the first night stop. The second day will be heading down towards Pamplona. We start our trip on the 28th, but we still need to sit down and have a chat about the first couple of days and the return trip. We both fancy stopping at Le Mans for a look around. The days inbetween we'll make up as to how we're feeling. Fancy a ride, go for a ride. Fancy a day off, go find a nice city to look around and stretch our legs.
  15. Passed its MOT, informed the front pads have around 2-2.5mm remaining. When I got home I measured the discs, and they are also boarderline for replacing. So just need to find the best place to get them from.
  16. Yes I can clearly be held liable for women driving in the rear of my car!
  17. I went the direction of Ultimate Ear, but roughly the same product. Wouldn't be without them. Plus if you have comms fitted to your helmet, you'll still be able to hear it clearly.
  18. Used my Zumo today (first proper usage of it) for a trip from London to Poole. The main gripe is the amount of false speed camera alerts, otherwise quite happy with it. The real test will be at the end of September for a trip to Spain
  19. I wanted to go buying a new toy, but becuase two ladies decided that the rear of my car needed some dents, my insurance have decided I'm too high a risk. One hit my car whilst parked up, the other when she pulled out of a junction into the back of me. So not at fault for either, but the insurance conmen decided not to agree! Fecking scam!
  20. If I had to go to Morpeth, I'd be visiting those nice people at Bywells for a bit of shooting.
  21. I'd take a look on Fowlers website and compare the part numbers.
  22. You might want to include the year of the bike. Price would depend on that.
  23. getting the bike MOt'd on Saturday
  24. Welcome to the nuthouse..... Option C, full course, which includes CBT on the first day then followed by the DAS course. These are either 3 or 5 days, with no previous experience I'd recommend the 5 day. Sometime on day 4 you'd be taking the first test, and the last day would be the second (final test). This would enbale you to go and get something bigger. I wouldn't say that beign on a 125 for a year is a bad thing, as I learnt a lot from it. No stupid questions there.
  25. I'd start by putting the key in the ignition, petrol in the tank
