  1. Im currently in Spain and every biker, regardless of make/model sticks their hands our to acknowledge other riders. Mopeds however get ignored. It's one of those things you'll learn to live with
  2. Nice little loop, around 240km in 5 hours
  3. I'd nominate the nob I'm currently riding around Spain with. Satnav took us up a single track up hill little venture. My friend decided that he couldn't make the turn, blamed a pothole and decided to turn right and go down the hill some what and get a closeup look at the local tree's. After dropping his Tiger and hearing some noises through the cardo, I stopped and came for a visit. The tiger was kissing the mud, I was showing due concern for the idiot, I mean friend and asking if the bike was OK. After picking up the bike, and checking things over we got it back on the single track. All OK other then the crash frame had moved over an inch. Proves he didn't tighten it properly in the first place but ho hum... Got sorted, everything good and start making our way down the track to find its a dead end.... Fecking satnav! We completed our ride and made it back to the Airbnb to live another day
  4. That's naughty of the training centre, they should have told/reminded you what to bring along
  5. Rode from Poitiers, France down to just up the coast from Bilbao, in torrential rain. It stopped long enough for us to go get some food. Everything is on a major drying out session, even full waterproof kit didn't help!
  6. Giving the bike a wash and check over before next week's trip. Then off for the brother-in-law's b'day drinks. Sunday will involve shotguns and discs is pitch n salt
  7. I'm guessing that cleaning isn't a regular thing
  8. Wired in the Garmin and went for a bimble
  9. Being taken for belated b'day drinks by my sister, not bad at over 2 months later
  10. Replaced the locks on the panniers and top box so they all used the same key. 30 mins all in, but I have to say top service from Mad4Bikes. Parts ordered at 2pm, arrived first thing this morning.
  11. fitted the rear rack for the box, that will hopefully stop me requiring a rucksack
  12. Might as well sell it and get another next year.

Fingers crossed she brings a bit of Thatcher style back to politics. Tell the various unions who are holding all these strikes to get back to work for starters. But we all know none of this will happen, as the country went soft and spineless decades ago! The globe is being screwed by a complete lunatic with Russian blood
  15. Is there an easy(easier) way to bleed your brakes when on your own?
  16. So today I fitted some new discs and pads to the bike, but I'm not sure if it's the same bedding in process as a car. Start softly softly, then building up speed and heat into them. Correct process?
  17. Yeah I'm no hero by a long way. to get much further I'd want to be on a track. Todays achievement was to replace the front discs n pads.
  18. Took it for a ride to Eastbourne to start the scrub in process... Must try harder
  19. Had lots of deliveries and then had some new Road 6's fitted. Deliiveries were discs, pads and a harris paddock stand
  20. If the front paddock stand arrives I'll be fitting new discs n pads or getting new rubber bands fitted
  21. I quite like these are a run around when not using the bigger bike, but it's just a shame that the insurance companies hate the brand so much.
  22. @Ian Frog we'll also be heading down from Calais (eurostar) aiming to reach either Nantes or Poitiers for the first night stop. The second day will be heading down towards Pamplona. We start our trip on the 28th, but we still need to sit down and have a chat about the first couple of days and the return trip. We both fancy stopping at Le Mans for a look around. The days inbetween we'll make up as to how we're feeling. Fancy a ride, go for a ride. Fancy a day off, go find a nice city to look around and stretch our legs.
