  1. Check the battery terminals are tight, then check the voltage across the battery with the engine running if the voltage is above 14 volts l would suspect a faulty voltage regulator. This link here might be helpful http://blog.jpcycles.com/how-to-test-motorcycle-charging-system/
  2. Anybody needing work doing look no further: http://www.briteworx.co.uk/index.html
  3. On that note, l must get my arse in gear and get the Classic TT booked, we much prefer the classic than the TT, the TT now is manic and getting stupid, the mountain section closed more often than open due to the idiots who think there a bit special.
  4. Send you camping gear mate, you can send a much bigger tent, a 3 season sleeping bag and a good airbed for a fraction of the cost of a pre erect camp site tent. Just be sure you have plenty of gear to stay warm and dry, if the sun comes out your quids in. As my Scottish friend tell me, there's nothing wrong with the weather your just wearing the wrong cloths
  5. You really need to nail down your crossings times and schedule first before you start looking for accommodation. As already said there are Hotels "mega money", home stays or camping, pre erect camp sites are good but not cheap, in fact if you check them out they are in some cases more expensive than the Home stays. We always camp and take all our own gear, if your bike is not up for carrying all your camping gear l would strongly suggest sending some of your gear over in advance using these folks https://www.sendmybag.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxsTt9tq52AIVjZztCh0ciQBqEAAYASAAEgLNQvD_BwE Worked out fine for a bunch of my mate last year and it's a dam site cheaper than pre erect camp sites costs. Just put all your gear in a large holdall they will collect it from your house on your fixed dates they then transport it to the camp site, when your done, they will also collect it from the camp site and bring it home simple's.
  6. Black Country Communion , we're looking forward to seeing these guy's next week ">
  7. If your going to find the right part l would suggest you start here. http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/ I found them very helpful, they stock almost all the Jap connectors
  8. Folks, l just screw mine on check the tyre pressure if necessary blow it up unscrew take off and put back into the box simple's
  9. The battery on that bike l would of thought would be a sealed one, so with no pipe connected directly to the battery the pipe in question will be either a vent or overflow pipe from the coolant or fuel system. If its just in your way just snip the ti-wrap to move the pipe out of the way and gain access to do your deed. Those ti-wraps are readily available and as cheap as chips.
  10. First l want to see him fit and well, then if he really wants to ride a big bike, for me it's got to be the Norton
  11. Honda are not even talking to him nor offered support since the accident. Sounds like lawyer have moved in an took control of the issue. John has said he will never ride a factory Honda again he will only ride for Padgetts not good after all he's brought them.
  12. They got a massive P-R hill to clime from I've heard they really shit on McPint, they've dropped him like a hot spud, sickening after what he's done for them over the years.
  13. We use Shark helmets with noise cancelling headphones both work fine. This summer l change the screen on the Busa to one of these https://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/Suzuki_GSX1300R_Hayabusa_2008_Onwards_MRA_Adjustable_Motorcycle_Touring_Screens.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0Pqm6vaB2AIVTbvtCh3toQ71EAQYASABEgJMJfD_BwE#a51828 What a massive difference in both noise reduction and rider comfort.
  14. Looks like we could be onto a winner. I’ll check out the reviews and contact the seller and find some more information out. What do you store your motorcycle in?! Garage Mate, l would keep away from any steel - metal storage units as they tend to sweat and cause condensation which not the best pf places to keep a bike.
  15. This might do?1 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORBIKE-BIKE-COVER-SHED-MOPED-STORAGE-GARAGE-MOTORCYCLE-SCOOTER-SHELTER-/311406662380?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10
  16. Sounds like wires crossed to me, simple fix take back to the shop.
  17. There be panic buying, shop's will be fleeced, best go out and get some logs in. Tot of whisky and a good fire the way to go.
  18. Low viscosity, now we're talking! Sounds like it would flow nicely under the window case and seal it up properly all the way under. Just be sure what ever your going to use you heat up the fluid before you start to use it, any liquid or sealant will become more viscus the colder it gets and thus restrict it ability to flow. You guy's riding through winter and this cold snap spare a thought, that the same go's for engine oil give yourselves a bit of time
  19. One of these always comes in handy when checking motorbike tyre pressures, makes the task all so much easier http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-accessories/oxford-valve-adaptor-90-deg?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Motorcycling-_-Motorcycle+Accessories-_-204336&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=qlrmmwpwp&istBid=tzwl&_$ja=tsid:94971|cid:862162525|agid:46114635040|tid:pla-328939619703|crid:201516331356|nw:g|rnd:775065300867979401|dvc:c|adp:1o1|mt:|loc:9046397&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsc6uv5r71wIVz7XtCh0VwQ7vEAQYASABEgKK9fD_BwE
  20. Something like this might do http://www.arbo.co.uk/arbo-sealants/arbo-small-gap-sealer/
  21. First fresh fuel, also check the air filter it might be part blocked, many a bike has had visitors take up residence whilst it's been stood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt5EhiHgot0
  22. This your man. Contact Harry at http://www.briteworx.co.uk/
  23. Shouldn't be a problem provided your not sitting at idle for long periods in traffic . Heated grips pull about 4 amps, that's roughly another headlight bulb. I would suggest you connect everything up switch on and then check the voltage across the battery with the engine running, if the reading at the battery is 12.8 volts or more the battery getting a charge.
  24. Plenty of company's out there who will make longer control cable - hoses if needs be. Just be sure when you've completed the job that there's no tight wires, cables or hoses check the steering from lock to lock. I personally would not cut the new bars down, your defeating the object of the exercise, the wider the bars the more leverage you have.
  25. Sounds good on paper, trying to police that area going to take some resources. Law and order in this country is something of a grey area don't you think?! I can see green laners, ramblers + the daft lads not giving a blind Fck to the house rules.
