  1. Hi, regarding the chain, check the tension and alignment if all ok then check the chain for a dry tight link. If nothing found check the condition of sprockets. Regarding the overflow from the cooling system, first check the coolant level from cold, then run up the motor check to see if the thermostat opens and then continue and make sure that the fan cuts in at the correct temperature. if all this is ok l would then suspect that you've got a weak radiator cap. When the motor is stopped after a run the water pump also stops, this causes the water in the hot engine to pool up and boil, this hot water should be accommodated in the expansion bottle. If the - radiator cap is weak it will let go of the water and release it out of the overflow pipe which is what your seeing. Hope this helps

Just a thought, just be sure your battery terminals are clean and tight.

Looking that way mate, needs testing though before you go out spending. If the battery shot the regulator thinks it got a flat battery to deal with and whacks out a high voltage charge to recover it, if the battery do's not take the charge and recover you then end up screwing the regulator and bulbs in your case. First get the battery tested if shot get it replaced as soon as, before you go and screw the regulator as well.
  5. At a push you can take the belly pan off if fitted then with a small block of wood under the engine or exhaust use a jack if its only for the odd occasion. I find so much easier to clean the wheels with both wheels up.
  6. Helmets are not to be taken likely, we heard of an horrendous story over the weekend a rider hit a pheasant, it took his helmet clean off and made a hell of a mess of his face, he was lucky to survive by all accounts. Guy's make sure your helmet is a good fit well fastened, keep the visor clean and down.

  8. Bloody so front heavy these Busa's Tankbag. The front stand was by far and away the easiest l found so far. Chriss I even tried putting a massive water container on the pillion to try heave the front up It's amazes me how all that weight disappears when you're riding it though Hence why 42 psi is required for the front tyre pressure. Agree it all clicks into place once underway.

Hi, 4 ways of killing a new lamp, well maybe 5?! No1 touching the lamp with your fingers, grease from your skin will cause the lamp to over heat. you've covered that one! No2 Water on the lamp cracked lens poor fit of the rubber seal on the rear of the lamp No3 Vibration, loose fitment of lamp, or over or un tightened rubber headlight mounts No4 excess voltage. check the voltage at the lamp No5 Just plain unlucky and you've brought a dud. Cheap lamps are a pain, go for a quality branded replacement.
  11. Hi, in most cases if the ear plugs are not comfy or they keep dropping out your not fitting them properly. Try this way http://www.dadepaper.com/Content/Produc ... 3ac61a.pdf Auritech plugs are as good as they get, you shouldn't really be having this problem Hope this helps
  12. Hi I've got the lift arm http://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail. ... arm&pid=42 But yesterday l used a front axle stand to lift up the front of the Busa with the Abba stand on the rest of the bike, the front went up a breeze.
  13. Bloody lazy wind also Neil, blew straight through you! Thought l'd got enough gear on but NO Rain stopped for the ride home but still very windy. Bike and trailer ditched. O well! Nothing ventured nothing gained. Have to say the New Yamaha R1 went and sounded awesome, Mr Dunlop going to fly on the roads this year if that one got anything to go by.
  14. It's really depending on the type of wall your hoping to fix to. Is the garage single brick or double skinned block work or other ?? This one might fit the bill http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/74307 The question was asked can you fit it to a wall, they say you can depending of the type of wall and the material used. For me anything that will deter is better than nothing. Best of luck with your search
  15. Well we went! just how the British changes in a day! it went from warmth and sun Friday to wind cold and rain over the weekend. Never seen so many brollies and bits of tents thrown into trash bins. And just to rub salt into the wounds 20+c forecasted for the middle of this week JOY!!
  16. Morning Mate, Norfolk is just down the road compared to these people http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-Motor ... 3#shpCntId There advert say's "not posting to the UK" but it might be worth dropping them a line. There price is very competitive, to get an engineering works to build you a bespoke one going to cost a bunch of money. Shipping should not cost a you fortune. Are making your own trailer or have you already got one?
  17. I've seen the weather forecast what a shame! Rain passing through tomorrow morning then cooler with strengthening winds and showers. Going to get things ready and make a call in the morning whether we camping over, but will be there come what may
  18. Plenty of options to play with in Co pilot, I've used mine all over Europe it's always got me there, and as said before no data transfer required. If l need to find something special nearer my destination then l switch on my data link
  19. A trap needs to set Mate.
  20. Hi l would suggest you buy and download Co pilot live. https://copilotgps.com/uk/store/windowsMobile.asp it works brilliantly other benefits are, you don't use up all your data allowance which you would using the web maps, also Co pilot works off the GPS systems and always available unlike the web. Using your phone for navigation you also need to have it connect to a power supply as running it in GPS mode or other will soon rinse your battery. As already suggested blue tooth headset are the way to go, you then have your phone, sat nav and music all at your disposal. if you looking for a mount or power supply for your phone try these guys there gear is brilliant http://www.ultimateaddons.com/ Hope this helps best of luck with your search
  21. Hoping to get up there midday Saturday, hope the weather holds??
  22. Thanks for your help l'll try and drop them a line tomorrow, hopefully we might get lucky, obviously we won't get in the paddock now but might get on the camp site.
  23. Hi, do's anyone know if you can roll up and camp over at the Scarborough spring cup without an advanced ticket. ie buy in on the gate. I've just found out that l can now go, was not sure before due to work commitments.
  24. I wouldn't use it, wheel cleaners in general use some pretty strong chemicals, not the sort of stuff you want to be washing the O rings in your chain with. I would play safe Mate and use something else
  25. Agree Stu, you won't get rid of the air this way. l always do this after l've completely removed the air from the system, as you say it firms up the lever. Hydraulic oil should never be left exposed to air, moisture in the air contaminates the oil. When you think your oil is boiling it is in fact in most cases the moisture in the oil thats boiling.
