  1. Fitting a banjo bleed nipple bolt to the calliper will only allow you to bleed that section of hose up to the point of that bleed nipple as l see it. To get the air out of the calliper you have got to force oil into the calliper and the air out, you've got to get that broken nipple out. I can't see a way round it l'm afraid.
  2. Double bubble Puig screen for me, no buffeting the build quality is excellent. http://www.puig.tv/en/
  3. Hi, 2.5m is more than long enough believe me
  4. Hi Mate, the roads are closed from start to finish on race day. The camp site is just out side Union mills on the left at the top of the hill. Not a chance to get there during the races. Road closure times from last year, this year will be somewhere near the same. So that will be 9.30am to 5pm http://www.iomtt.com/TT-2013/~/media/Fi ... 02013.ashx. http://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/ne ... QAmpHFyYdf If it was me, l would get a map and jump straight in and set off up the back roads to find a vantage point. In Douglas where the ferry docks the viewing points will be rammed, if you want a good spot there it a very much get in there early. Sat navs will offer guidance but a map is always very handy. Top tip, just take your time and ease yourself into it. Roads opening on the TT coarse after the races is an experience in itself. Don't get sucked in, there are police with camera's and plenty of foreign riders there who can and do get excited and make mistakes. Not trying to scare you it is megger! keep on asking, if l can offer a answer l will get back
  5. Hi Mate, its not far at all about 3miles, but unfortunately you cannot get there when the road is closed. https://www.pitchup.com/campsites/Engla ... -campsite/ Suggest you get a map and check out the back routes, there are plenty get yourself up to the circuit then wait till the roads open to get into the camp site
  6. Hi getting comfy takes time, even after more than 40yrs of riding going out after a winter lay off l always feel a little apprehensive. After a short period of time it all comes flooding back and everything clicks into place. Learning to relax helps loads, this allows the brain to function on the road and what's happening around you. Top tip, make sure you stretch up and breath deep before you set off get rid of the tension. Enjoy stay safe
  7. Hi, have a look in here also there main stockist http://motohaus.com/
  8. Fantastic NOT! Having sat in all week waiting for my parcel to arrive and trying to track it. This morning l popped into my garage for 10 minutes l had left the side gate open so somebody should of known l was in, never heard a shout nothing! Go's to the front door only to find a card had been put through the door telling me l had missed my delivery and that l needed to collect my parcel from the local post office. "kin fuming". What a total waist of time .
  9. Hi, l would go with a Helicoil every time on a sump bolt. This is the last bolts that you want to come loose or out. Plenty of demo's on how to do on Youtube
  10. The kit was ordered weeks ago in the depths of winter, it should have been here 3 weeks ago Phone call upon phone call Stu, the blame was put upon a third party the anodizing people. I was told the anodized parts had returned last Friday and the kit would be posted first thing Monday morning, it's now going to be Thursday before it lands here " If l'am lucky" That's Parcel force for you Joy!
  11. Frothing at the bit Stu and another bloody no show! Waiting for my bar riser kit to come to fit the Busa. The kit comes with new bars extended hoses and fittings. l've Sorn the bike at the moment, to get it off sorn will require a MOT. All the plastic's off the bike at this time as l need to do a complete fluid change. According to the weather forecast the weekend looking good. I can see some serious shed time coming my way.
  12. This is a new one me also. Having been sat in all day for a signed delivery that did not show this is a must do
  13. Hi, It sounds to me like your applying way to much lube or using crap gear. I would suggest you give the chain a good clean and apply a good chain lube. This kit here should do you fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WURTH-BRAKE-A ... 4897.l4275 All l do to clean my wheel's is to give them a quick wipe with a rag and WD40
  14. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/trave ... paign=1490 Would love to get the T shirt for Route 66, but 500 miles around the Highlands will defiantly be done first. Weather permitting the highlands is just stunning.
  15. Here you go http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?id=499 I have the thermal gear, great for wearing under my leathers keeps me warm in winter, and stops the leather sticking in the summer.
  16. As the heading say's, if your looking for some good cheap riding gear take a look here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic ... paign=1490
  17. You'll need a week to get over it Mate, yes plenty of info in the programme. Also don't forget to take a good portable radio with you to listen to race commentary and catch up on events happening on the island. A radio is a must.
  18. Apart from campfire gatherings, all the pubs will be bursting Mate, with live bands bike and club rally's, check out your make of bike there's bound to be a gathering somewhere for a good meet up. This a list from last years TT http://www.iomtt.com/~/media/Files/2014 ... 0final.pdf
  19. I've got this event tagged, but due to the nature of my work l cannot commit until l'm almost on top of it. The joys of being self employed. Fingers crossed we can make it.
  20. Good to hear you have got the bugger off, now just be sure you tighten up the new sprockets to there correct torque settings.
  21. Are you sure the units still work whilst on charge Joe? I thought that the lights on the unit go red when being charged then turn blue when fully charged. Surely this will deactivate the unit during this period.
  22. No problems Mate, once the batteries are full on the phone or headset there charger control circuits should shut down. Charging your two units should cause you no dramas what so ever left on the bike overnight. I leave my 2 headsets and sometimes my phone on charge overnight never had a problem. Just be sure that your USB charger can handle the two unit together, the cheap USB chargers only give out around 500ma, this charger here is just the job. http://ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Vehicle_A ... ebar_Mount
  23. Hi, normally you get a USB adaptor lead with your headset to charge the battery that's inside the headset, what you do is after a days riding remove the headset from your helmet connect the charger lead to the headset to the USB charger on your bike. I would suggest you put the charger under your seat to A) keep it dry and B) stop it from getting stolen
  24. Camp site at Union Mills is sound Mate it's just a few miles outside of Douglas right on the TT coarse. Not an issue going on your own just muck in and enjoy, bikers are bikers always up for a chat and a good time. Top tip, take some extra guy lines and some strong pegs for the tent just in case there's a good blow - storm, and also don't forget to take a plate to slip under your side stand as there's no hard standing there. Any other info or help don't hesitate to drop a line.
  25. Mate, your in for one hell of a time. It's a must do for any biker. You camping or in digs?
