  1. Hi and welcome, where are you located? I agree with the rest, get the rest of the steel out and get it welded up and start afresh. You may be lucky and find someone who can tig weld that up in situ. If you live anywhere near Nott's l might know just the man.
  2. Hi you need to put the end of the bleed hose into a jar of hydraulic fluid to stop the bled air re entering the brake system. Top up the reservoir pump up the system and hold the brake lever tight, crack the bleed nipple open you should see the air come out and into the fluid into the jar repeat until theirs no sign of any air bubbles . Not having the end of the bleed pipe submersed will allow air to go back into the brake line. Hope this helps
  3. Believe me or not johnson baby wipes do a sound job, that info was given to me by a Dienese rep in the race paddock, cheap as you like they remove the oil and grime as well as conditioning the leather
  4. Well....Chris & EAB can't make it......and I'm sure there will be others. I'm stuck in Hamburg bike is all packed and ready to go, l was really hoping we could cut loose and make it home life hey!
  5. We were hanging on hoping that my shift pattern would allow us to attend, looks now like that's not going to happen. I'm scheduled now to get home for the following weekend Joy!! Hope the weather kind and you all have a great time. Maybe next time

  7. A bike that your not going to heartbroken by if it gets trashed, so crashes at the last one l went to it's getting a joke. Session stopped 3 times due to crashes on the sighting lap
  8. I'm in exactly the same boat, just started a job in Germany should be 2 on 1 off but no shift pattern as of yet, fingers crossed.
  9. You would have to go some to swage the bars open enough to foul the throttle grip - mechanism , l would of thought a thread or bolt would let go first! Do's the grip still foul if you remove the guard? Back track before you go ordering replacement parts.
  10. Now this is what lm talking about Stunning! ">
  11. Hi get it fixed as soon as, apart from the costs a petrol leak on a hot engine could spell disaster.
  12. Not good news http://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/news/ ... cancelled/
  13. Cheers for that Mate have read up and checked the route. Some say it one of the best biking roads in Europe. Just hope everything comes together and we keep the good weather. Will keep you all posted
  14. Very much hit and miss, l got my cans from the States l was expecting to pay duty and they came straight through But yes factor in and assume that there could be import duties to pay.
  15. I fancy a go at this route https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/A83 ... e?hl=en-GB Has anybody done it and got any heads up or recommendations?
  16. Hi, take your time and show some consideration, make sure she feels both secure and comfortable. Believe me Mate, it's far far better to have a partner who's into riding on the bike than trying to slide off to have a ride on your own with your mates. You would not believe the shit fights that break out due to folks putting there bike before there partner.
  17. Hi, If it going to be tig welded you could purge the tank with Argon gas

    Radiator leak...

Hi l would go for a proper rad fix. By running rad weld and the likes you stand a chance of blocking and gluing up the small cooling galleries in the engine, then you'll have a real drama.
  19. You'll be after one of these then mate plus the adapter. http://www.ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Cable ... le?bid=207 l can highly recommend all of there gear for mounting electronic bits to bikes
  20. I took the front off and moved it to the chamber where the battery lives, but that killed the sound. I then put some electrical tape over the mic and put it back in it housing, same affect. I have yet to test my next trial - electrical tape over the mic hole and tape over the hole of the plastic mic housing. I'll let you know the outcome Well I think that's the best the best result I've had. Not perfect, but good enough for me. I love being on my in the sunshine! "> One thing I have noticed is that this was taken in 720 and the quality seems to have taken a hit when uploaded to YouTube. 1080 next time! That sound will be good enough for me also, nice one!
  21. Hi if you don't find any issues with the fuel system, next time it plays up check to see if you have a spark, it not uncommon for the HT coil or lead to break down once the motor get hot.
  22. then a black and white wire that comes straight off the battery and runs round the wiring diagram attaching to pretty much everything. Including being the only other wire that connects to the indicator. So I'm assuming that's a live? I think you will find that the black and white cable is the earth - neutral Mate. Have you opened up all the connectors associated with that part of the wiring loom to the rear indicators? Follow it back from the lights and give it a good check over and clean up on the connectors. Highly unlikely that a rewire will be called for.
  23. The question needs to asked what has snapped off? Is it the porcelain top or the treaded bottom from the hexagon head? If the latter it should only be a bench job on the head only and then only if an extractor kit can't get it in situ. An heli coil repair is all that's needed if the thread is shot. No way should they be talking of a new engine unless they want to stand the cost?? I would be somewhat disappointed if my bike had gone in for a service and this happened, and even more so if l got to wait for the mechanic to come back off his jollies before work will resume. Sounds very much like someone tried to get leverage to unscrew the plug on an angle and snapped it off instead of gaining proper square on access. Hope your soon sorted, not the time of the year to be without your bike
  24. Here's the full spec Mate http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tireca ... -180-60r17 I would of thought you would need to match the profile to the front as it's going to roll into a corner differently. Particularly with a track bike, as everything needs to be spot on.
