    Hel brake line

Hi, I would say like the rest it's extra protection for the routing and clipping. That exterior black sleeve looks like heat shrink trying to remove it will almost certainly knacker the hel hose coating up, just fit and forget.
  2. Have to say Mate, when it comes to going to the TT l'm pumped and buzzing not a chance of missing the ferry by sleeping in. If the weathers good its a good craic at the port taking in the atmosphere with all the bikers
  3. Can you post a photo of the front of the control unit the switches, not much can go wrong from what l can see
  4. Hi is it fed from a wall socket? If so, see if there's a supply there first by plugging in another appliance or check it with a test lamp. If there is you can then move on to the hood in question. I've known kitchen fitters pick up a supply from anywhere, there could be another fuse spur hidden in the cupboards which might have a blown fuse supplying the socket supplying the hood. Seldom both the lights and fan fail together
  5. Nothing much around Haysham Mate, having done it so many times before, l would set off early roll up get in the queue then crash out with the rest. Some of the Bikers there have travelled from all parts of Europe ridden for days - hrs. 2.5hrs from your home to the ferry is just a skip and a jump. P.S l do know that there is a travel lodge not to far away but l also heard of bikes being stolen from there. The thought of having your bike nicked along with all your gear going to the TT is not a nice thought. l think l would sooner stay with my bike and crash out over tank for an hour or 2
  6. "Grumpy Old Git"]Its all part of the learning experience! Get a Haynes and read it before doing any maintenance - That will certainly help (especially with identification of the correct bolt). If you've never done it before read the manual or get someone with experience to help and watch over you. We all like to have a tinker but these jobs need to be done correctly. Just be sure that you have fitted a new sump washer and torqued the sump bolt up correctly. I always fill a measure jug to be absolutely sure that the correct amount of oil is added. The sight glass is all well and good but the bike needs to upright and level for it to serve a purpose.
  7. Sounds like a fuelling issue to me mate, check the fuel filter if it has one? Then the hoses and air vent on the fuel tank , then check the carb floats jets etc. Hope your soon sorted
  8. Hi, I would connect it direct to the battery reason being, you need as pure a D.C supply as possible for the charger to work properly. Connecting to circuits such as lighting or horn circuits as already mentioned could cause interference you might run into A.C circuits, also l see that this unit also has a cig lighter socket, if you plug a compressor or other high current draw accessories for instance you could end up blowing fuses or worse still cable melt down. Cracking connector l have to say, just ordered one for myself.
  9. Hi, what are you trying to keep charged? The reason l ask is that some of the cheep charges don't offer enough current to maintain the charge in some devices, they all state 5volts but it's also the current output you have to watch out for.
  10. That looks awful lol. how are they secure? I see no mention of locks in the ad. Secure = not going anywhere. They have a very good velcro stap, and when you tighten the attachment straps, it's not going anywhere. That looks like it got an awfully high centre of gravity, also it's going to catch a hell of breeze when your on the move.
  11. The only chance you've got to get over a high speed hump is the ride across it on the diagonal and not square on, difficult l know! Your not alone, front valance on many a car get the same hammering.
  12. Just on the point of safety, just be sure that your rear sub frame is up to carrying the excess weight. Suzuki made a cock up years ago with the Hayabusa in there quest to save weight they produce a rear sub frame out of alloy resulting in many failures. A major recall was required in the end they replaced it with steel.
  13. Best of luck for the future Allan
  14. Yes Mate the Busa has no centre stand she's on there at the moment both wheels in the air on a Abba stand
  15. Hi ya, I've one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190579845185? ... EBIDX%3AIT More than happy enough with it at the moment
  16. Hi Guy's, here's a link on how to adjust your chain without a centre stand. ">
  17. I'd sooner cook myself than be ripped off at a restaurant that hikes the prices up just for the day
  18. Hand in pocket new chain as soon as! If your lucky you might not need new sprockets. Don't ride the bike with a chain in that state, if it snap's you'll be looking at a major drama and quite possibly a lot bigger repair bill
  19. Joy! I brought one of those sprayer the other week, got 2 houses to paint l was hoping it was going to do it quicker than Mr Bean lol The roller has won hands down. Hopefully the sprayer will come in for doing the shed and fence later in the year
  20. I once worked with a guy who was the most argumentative bast*rd who walked the planet, always in your face the list go's on! Anyway he took ill and unfortunately died. He apparently died from a massive tumour in his head. That shook me rigid, the times that l been so close to landing him one "thank god l never did" If l had done so, l would probably of killed him with one punch Scary!
  21. Really!! It was said that "When he (the aggressor) saw what was happening he took the tablet off him, saw the recordings, threw the device to the ground and attacked him." "The victim had been arrested by the Civil Guard a few days ago for possession of child pornography." After repeated request to stop filming the guy grabbed the tablet saw what was one it and flipped. If he saw pic's of his kid in there as well as child porn lm sure any father would had lost it just the same. The police should have arrested him and locked him up there and then, no way should he had been allowed to roam freely around a holiday resort where kids are playing.

    exposed wires

Yep, that connector l would say belongs in the headlight shell

    Stick coils

Well if it was me l would make those idiots sort it out. Let them explain themselves to the DVLA. If you do it you saved them the embarrassment. Don't want to scare or stir it up any further but are you completely satisfied that your bike is all good? Can you be absolutely sure these cocks have not overlooked something that requires attention?
  24. If the police had locked the dead man first time round, the kids father might not of been put in this horrible position. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/briton-kills- ... ml#r6uS9uh
  25. Hi ya, l had a sniff around the web and found this article http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255493 It might relate to your bike also, being that yours went over as well. With reference to the lever problem found at the bottom of the page Hope your soon sorted
