    Hi Ross. Well done for having a go yourself, but it sounds like you don't have sufficient knowledge yet to be working on brakes and throttles. Get a good mate involved, buy a workshop manual or take it to a mechanic.

    I suspect the spindle is spreading the forks when he undoes it Bob.

    Don't keep hitting spindle in same direction or it will jam soid. Use plenty of plus gas, leave it for a while, then try to move spindle to and fro until it releases.

    Don't use petrol. Use WD or ideally Plusgas. Leave it overnight. . It will free off eventually but be careful not to apply too much pressure to the fork leg Get a mate to hold the fork leg while you hit the end of the axle first one way, then the other. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to the fork leg.

    You may have damaged the neutral light wire or switch. Usually under the front sprocket cover.

    I have heard that if you add up the total cost of materials to build your own, it's not much different to buying one. Just saying.

    Empty the fuel tank. Remove petrol tap and clean with carb cleaner. Flush out fuel tank with fresh fuel until no rust or water in fuel. Replace tap. Remove carb, strip and clean everything with carb cleaner. Rebuild carb and adjust settings to normal.

    I add an extra earth wire from the alternator earth wire, direct to battery negative terminal.

    Just buy a hiflo and fit it. Injection system should cope and then make a note of the date on the new filter. I change mine once a year.
