Yep.....I've flicked the mirror switch to let bikes filter a few times......just coz I'm stuck in the cage.......

The best thing I did with my Speedy was to get it dyno'd......cost a couple of hundred quid, but it runs so much better now......got the SAI and O2 sensors disabled too, whilst he was about it...... Although I wasn't looking for any power increase the dyno setup increased the power from 112bhp to 122bhp. ....and the torque from 66ft/lb to 76ft/lb......so, some useful increases......

If you're using TuneECU to load the map, there's a button on there to reset the TPS.....so you don't have to do the heat cycle thing...... And, yes, I would reset the TPS before running it with the new map......

Welcome to TMBF mate. .....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ....... TBH, at 17 I wouldn't bother with the A1 test unless you need to travel on motorways or take pillion passengers.......otherwise I'd just do the CBT and ride 125cc bikes on L-plates and then go for the A2 when you're 19.......

Unfortunately, no matter how badly you feel about it, the decision has been made......so I'd just take it on the chin and rebook. The good thing is that you know your riding is up to the required standard, so you should breeze it next time...... -

I think you'd be better off running them through a relay which is controlled by the ignition circuit.....less chance of leaving them on and draining the battery.....and less chance of overloading one of the other circuits.....

And also check that the caliper "floats" correctly......I've seen them where the pins that the caliper floats on are completely seized. I'd be inclined to remove the caliper and give it a thorough overhaul..... Years back all chains were split link.......but they're a bit rarer these days. Don't buy an Ognibene chain......The one on my Speedy is awful......it's not done so many miles, but it's got so many tight spots on it it's near impossible to set the slack correctly.......sprockets are still ok......so I think a new chain and new boots are required over the winter break......

Sounds like you've lost the sump plug or oil filter.....or put a hole in one of the crankcase or sump......
