I'd start off with replacing the plug and making sure everything is good around the battery....terminals are tight. Also make sure that there's no air leaks around the carb.....particularly where it joins the cylinder head......check the condition of your air filter and make sure there's nothing blocking the air inlet into the airbox......

Still in bed, drinking coffee....... May have to get up soon and go and get some rolls and bacon......then maybe get the bikes out...... It's been raining here.....but it's brightening up a bit now......

If the seal is just weeping a bit, then the oil loss would take some time before it got to the stage where it would upset the damping on the forks.......The oil running down and onto the front brake is probably the biggest worry.....

Knox Handroid springs to mind..... Personally, I'm a fan a Held gloves......The most comfortable gloves I've worn.....

I've negotiated with my youngest son to take him back to university on Sunday now, so we should be able to make this......but we've got something on Saturday evening, so we may have to b*gger off straight after the ride......

I was getting to the point of the brake lever getting too close to the bars........but I removed the pads and pumped the pistons out a bit, cleaned them up and smeared a bit of red rubber grease around the pistons......I then worked the brake until all 4 pistons moved together and I could push them back in by hand.......did this on both front calipers and then put the pads back in........front brake is spot on again......very little lever movement and nice sharp braking......

Started off a bit quiet there, but picked up a bit. Met some friends of ours over there, so had a good catch-up. The staff there seem genuinely pleased to see the bikes back.....

Is anyone going tonight? I think we'll try to get over there......Dunno what time yet, as Bonniebird isn't back from work yet......But hopefully get there before 7.....

Abba stands are good if you need to get the rear shock out and service the suspension linkages.....

That looks like a non-standard lever......have you tried it on 6?......maybe it's hitting the bars before the clutch is fully disengaged. .....

But you are more IT savvy and cleverer than me I ama complete numpty when it comes to computer type gadget things No, mate.....I just wing it!....

Whatever you do, don't find someone who doesn't like bikes and then set out to change them.....It don't work..... My situation was the opposite, my ex didn't like bikes.....hence the ex!...... Find local bike meets, biker pubs and cafes and just go down there and chat to people.....you'll soon find other bikers that will be happy to ride out with you......

Hear what you are saying, but I refuse to have internet connection on my phone. My phone is for making and receiving calls plus the occasional text and photo, laptop is for internet connection, sat nav is for telling me how to get to my destinations. On top of that, I am not like you young whipper snappers and all clued up on all this technology stuff. Remember, some of us are old and have not grown up with this stuff like you lot have. I want to stick with what I know I use CoPilot on my phone.....and also use the phone to play music through the car system.....so I've only got one device to carry around......and I'm older than you, Tony.....

Give the carbs a tap with the blunt end of a screwdriver on the float bowls, in case the floats have stuck.....

Yep.....sounds like a stuck float in the carb......

What to clean your chain GOG's bike doesn't have a chain......like someone else's bike.....can't remember who's. .....but they keep harping on about it..... Anyway.....back on topic.... Yep.....getting the bike on and off an ABBA stand is dead easy.......nearly as easy as getting my bike on and off its SSA stand.....

My Halfords socket sets are probably best part of 15 years old now and still got plenty of life left in them......

Looks like Hartford Marina are trying to get the bikes back......but changed to Wednesday nights now...... From 19th April.
