1. you might of damaged the shift forks inside Dont worry about the hose. that is a probably a drain from the airbox or a crankcase breather
2. I think the song alone deserves the face
3. If anyone here uses Google Photos they will know that google scans through all your photos and automatically creates albums and videos. Here is one it made using photos of my cat. For full effect you need to have the sound up. Feel free to punch me if you ever see me in person https://youtu.be/q7eU5-YvnNM
4. I may of done this before for a friends partner who I think had this bike. If so its just a couple of torx head bolts, one at each side, turn the handlebars fully to the right and you'll easily see it. Reverse process for the other side. He had a lot of electrical gremlins with that Bike, especially with the headlight. When you change the bulb have a look at the rubber block connector as it was melting on his
5. I must resist!
6. ACF50 leaves a film of oil which attracts dirt, debri etc. If you haven't got any electrical contact cleaner a squirt of wd40 will do the trick
7. I've nicked a couple of wooden pallets from the loading bay at work if that counts. No idea what I'm using them for yet though
8. I think to save my own skin I'll screenshot this and post it on Tracey's Facebook
9. Did you open the brake reservoir up first before compressing the piston? if not you might of knacked the seals in the caliper
10. My brother used to live and work in London as a paramedic. My father went to visit him, and being old school didn't use a sat nav and had to ring him up to say he was lost in Greenwich and couldn't find him. My brother told him to find out what road he was on and when my dad told him he said just sit in your car and lock the doors, I'll be there asap. He had been to two stabbings on that road in the last 3 days
11. I had a look at B&Q type sheds and I came to the conclusion that it was the panelling that was holding them together!! next to no framework at all Time isn't a factor in this build. In fact i'm going slow with it. It's my project to do on my days off. I've just bought the framework for the base which is getting delivered tomorrow. I'm off on Monday so will crack on with it then. Just called in to screwfix on way home and bought a few boxes of these. They look smaller in the picture than they are. In fact they are probably overkill at 8x100mm
12. Just seen this thread is about an Intruder 125. Owned one for a number of years. The engine is bomb-proof, every issue I ever had turned out to be electrical, as you've just found
13. You can definitely build cheaper as opposed to premade, or as I'll be doing, slightly cheaper, but a hell of a lot more solid!
14. Gerontious you are making me want one too!
15. I wouldn't normally post another straight away but I saw this and have amended it slightly for a certain Admin Stu gets a job as a Bus Driver and on his first morning he’s just sat at the Depot waiting. The Bus Inspector came over to see and asked what the problem was. Stu said, "l'm waiting for the Ticket Conductor." The Bus Inspector informed him that all the Buses were now One Man Buses. So Stu drives off in the Double Decker Bus. Twenty minutes later there is a call to the depot "one of your buses has been involved in a traffic accident." The Bus Inspector goes down to the Crash and there is Stu and the Wrecked Bus. For gods sake Stu, "How did this happen?" Asked the Bus Inspector. Stu shrugged his shoulders, and said..... "F*cked if I know. l was Upstairs collecting Fares at the time."
16. We ordered a Chinese takeaway tonight and as I was driving home, I heard the bags rustling and moving!! I thought what the hell is that? Has something got in the bag trying to eat my supper?.... I thought I could see a little pair of eyes peering out at me.. I was driving so I leaned forward ,picked up the bag , put it on the passenger seat and there it was again ,more rustling and little eyes looking out behind the prawn crackers, I thought its got to be a rat or mouse or something so I carefully pulled the carrier bag down... And there it was ... A Peeking Duck
17. its big business with Vauxhall Corsas apparently. People have got up in the morning to find the bonnet, bumpers, and front panels missing
18. Welcome back
19. megawatt thats the plan Via I had to wait until I moved as the last house had no garage or garden space for a worthwhile shed, I just had an old 4x8 concrete thing that I suspect started its life as the outdoor toilet when the house was built in the 40's
20. That reminds me of a lad who came to work at the fish shop during the evening while going to catering college through the day. Every little thing was "its not like that at college" "college would never allow that" Final straw came when he said we should never do any cleaning until we closed at night (just like college did) He was told by the owner "do whatever your tutor tells you to while in college, but in my shop, in the real world we start cleaning as early as possible so we can all bloody go home at a decent hour" p.s. I'd get that bike, it looks bloody nice!!
21. Heres a link to last years (which I had to miss ) It'll give you a good idea on everything https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=66376
