you might of damaged the shift forks inside Dont worry about the hose. that is a probably a drain from the airbox or a crankcase breather

I may of done this before for a friends partner who I think had this bike. If so its just a couple of torx head bolts, one at each side, turn the handlebars fully to the right and you'll easily see it. Reverse process for the other side. ACF50 leaves a film of oil which attracts dirt, debri etc. If you haven't got any electrical contact cleaner a squirt of wd40 will do the trick

Did you open the brake reservoir up first before compressing the piston? if not you might of knacked the seals in the caliper

My brother used to live and work in London as a paramedic.
