  1. Well you can get rid of the word "GREAT" to start with,, then start looking at all the immigrants who are here for free had outs & contribute nothing to society
  2. If both ends are the same fitting on the hose, try turning over, it might be that the threads tighten in a slightly different place & position the hose away from the pipe
  3. A couple of years ago I had a Rover 75, 1800 cc engine comfortable & good on fuel, Then I had this silly idea There's only me now so really I don't need a big car, so with that in mind I did the rounds & part ex'd it for peugeot 307 1400cc,, smaller engine, better economy, cheaper road tax, Job Done As I say a daft idea I drive the way I ride,,, the Rover I would fill it up & go to the lads at Slough 412miles round trip in one go sniffing fumes by the time I got home,, The Peugeot was a shed on wheels, every bump & pothole played hell with your backside & it sucked petrol out of the tank like water spinning down a bath plug hole, i'd be filling it up again at Brum to get me home,, as I say, that could be down to the way I drive,,,, but it was still a shed on wheels & I missed my comfort, so again I went shopping & squandered money.. So now I've got a car thats better on economy, down to the lads & back on a tank full & still enough left to run around locally for a week ,, Road tax Cheaper than the 1400cc 307 + all the comfort I deserve in my old age,, Potholes no prob's it's like giving my bum a massage,, So out with the Peugeot 307 & in with the X type Jag,,,,,,,,,,,,, No it's not new, 3 yrs old & worth every penny 307 144cc tax £145 Jag 2 litre tax £135
  4. So the invasion of Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction was a failure,, with no chemical weapons of any sort found, So why is it now being reported that babies are being born deformed in the Iraqi population and this is on the increase ???????????? Could it be anything to do with the Depleted Uranium Shells that the Yank's are so fond of using & leave laying around............ So the good guys, might no be so good after all,,,
  5. Two things come to mind, first is the starter turning the engine fast enough,, second is the plug spark strong enough,, bad plugs fail to produce a good spark under engine pressure,, taking it out & holding it against the engine to see if it sparks, is a waste of time,,,,,,,, A bit more from the history of Bollox from RT
  6. Judging by the number of drivers pulling out of side roads in front of bikes, seems its not just kids
  7. Cheers Stu The good old days Mr R How times have changed and they call it progress I always was a grumpy old sod, & each year I get better at it
  8. you've got your opinion & I've got mine,, new seals will be a tighter fit, as I say give it a test ride before shouting the odds,,the guy collected it a van which would indicate his comments were made by trying to test while the bike is static & comparing the feel of the new seals against the old,,, as he says the old seals were leaking & who knows the amount of oil lost, creating excessive movement & lack of restriction,,,, of course new seals will make the bike feel different, but test ride it before you condemn the work done that being said,,, I'm well known for talking bollocks Sorry, having old or leaking seals, the bike will not feel any different to new seals, the different feeling comes from having a lack of oil due to it leaking out past the old oil seals. I don't know what you think seals do, but they don't have a friction effect on the fork leg, that's not what they are there for, that's what dampers do. I think thats what I said so tell me why the old ones started leaking Well blow me,,, here's me,, been a biker for over 50 years & in all that time I never found out what dampers do well you live & learn I stripped & refurbished my first set forks when I was 17 back in 1957,,,, & in the RAF I worked on aircraft landing gear,,,, so tell me again about dampers

  10. think I'd give a few miles on the road before I'd start groaning, could be it'll take a few miles of road work for the seals to bed in,, you say the old one's were leaking, so expect the new ones to be tight

  15. So the National Lottery once worried on it's conception that it might turn the british population into a nation of gambling addict, Now over the years Camelot have thought of more & more ways to part you from the money in your pocket,, Lottery, Thunder Balls, Ect along with the numerous scratch cards they put out,, They seem to have run out of ideas on that front,,, Sooo,,, the latest idea to get your money,, Double the price of the Lottery ticket,,,,, Thieving Ba5tards,,, The next thought is,,, doubling the price of the lottery ticket, to my way of thinking opens the door to hiking up the price on scratch cards,,,, So Sod It,, I'll Stay Poor,,,,,, CAMELOT You can stuff your lottery I feel better now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Thieving Sods

  18. In a word, No,, like yours they will pull to the left due to the road camber, the greater the camber the greater the pull,, only on a flat surface will a bike go straight & it might even drift a bit on that, You don't have to counter balance anything on the bike,, you didn't notice anything wrong with your hands on the bars because that's were your hands are supposed to be,, OK so you've got a dent or two, so have a lot of other bikes, if you listen to all the gloom & doom of this lot on here,, you'll spend pots of money chasing your tail trying to fix what ain't broken,, A cat C write off means a bike can be repaired from light damage, but after repair the bike has to undergo a full inspection mot to certify it as roadworthy,,,

    A Puzzle for you

Sounds like wind noise,, If the bike runs ok with no other problems,, why worry I would worry about stopping a fan turning, its liable to burn out

    Screen

Sounds like self adhesive L plates or double sided adhesive patches that have been left on to long, same thing happens with masking tape,, A heat gun might work, but be careful with liquids, some might craze or melt your screen. try sticking a pick of duck tape over the area & rub it down hard,, warm the back side of the screen, then pull the duck tape off, see if the tape has removed any of the old adhesive, it might take a few goes remember, excessive heating of acrylic screens could cause it to warp,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, good luck
