    Skyjet SJ125GY-6 Help

Well you say you want to learn... Locate the speed sensor, figure out which wire into the speedo its supposed to connect to and run some new wires!
  2. If its the 180 two stroke and its in good condition, put it back to standard, they are an appreciating classic going up in value (Mine is in storage )
  3. Anyone going to be at Brands Hatch this weekend? Meet up for a beer if you are?
  4. Like cars these days, most bikes are easy to maintain. They are built to be serviced quickly by school dropouts to keep the labour charges low and the dealer profits high. So as long as you have the right tools, you know one end of a spanner from the other, and can read the Haynes manual a few times before attempting any work, you'll probably be fine.

    Improving headlamp

Actually, I think the future is LED headlight bulbs. Low wattage, low(ish) heat output, direct replacement for standard halogens.

35quid from EuroCarparts - reduced from 78quid... and thats for a pair, so split it with a mate... http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-a ... &0&cc5_774
  7. no argument to be had.. Suffice to say that anyone who professes to be Vegan, yet is happy to burn animal based fuel and kill innocent insects on bikes riding on tyres derived from decomposed sea creatures whilst possessing a mouth full of teeth best suited to a carnivores diet, seriously needs to address their denial... compromising personal safety by refusing to wear animal based protective clothing is, in my opinion, not only hypocritical, but its also crazy!! And like all other conversations with vegetarians/vegans, i bet the above comments result in personal insults instead of constructive, adult discussion.
  8. Wasnt meant to be inflammatory comment, but you clearly took it that way!! I guess i shouldn't mention all the innocent insects you're going to kill across the front of your bike/visor then should i.....
  9. Yep but its not just dead dinosaur juice anymore, now that about 5% is biofuel, a percentage of petrol is made from left over animal fats...
  10. Petrol is made from dead animals too you know.. What are you fueling your bike with??
  11. Jump to 07:15... "> You have an Expensive flowerpot!!
  12. Unless you had something heavy inside (like a head) its fine. Dropping an empty helmet just scratches them up.
  13. Get a light from an 3series BMW. The projector lights on the E46 seem a common option for HID conversions.
  14. Its not a road bike - its my off road machine. Nothing about it is good for the road you can just see in this picture i positioned the Allen bolt facing outwards so its easier to undo.
  15. Check it doesn't have an allen bolt holding the adjuster ring in place. You need to undo the allen bolt before the adjuster will turn... Thats how it works on my KTM anyway... Random pick of a KTM shock, showing the adjuster is split and has an allen bolt to close it up. http://174.132.130.99/~adrian/_images/2006ktm200xcvin162907/DSCN0124.JPG http://image.motorcyclistonline.com/f/features/11767307+w799+h499+cr1+ar0/122_0811_09_z%2B2008_ktm_rc8_1190%2Bwp_shock.jpg
  16. I might end up with quite a severe case of road rash. LOL, so thats why they are called helmets....
  17. Or in my case, getting stuck in the chain!
  18. OK, just ruling something (stupid) out here. Are you saying at the top of the chain you have 1inch slack and at the bottom you have 3inches of slack? Have you raised the rear wheel when testing this??

    bleeding issue

there's your problem!! Do the nipple up with pressure still on the brake so fluid is still coming out to ensure no air sneaks back in... That will be your problem, you need to squeeze the lever and nip the bleed nipple up at the same time. Hope your soon sorted And if doing it with a ratchet, you will get brake fluid all over the place, so chuck loads of water over or it else it will strip your paint!!! best to buy a brake bleeding spanner though

  21. turn inside out and leave out in the sun to air. the UV will help kill off some smelly bacteria too.
  22. Yeh, its my first bike so I'm guessing I'll drop it at some point since everyone I seem to speak to tells me its pretty much guaranteed to happen, so no point in making it look cracking if thats going to happen Exactly!! Give it a good coat of WD40 and ride it! Then when you do drop it you won't cry as much. If you really feel the urge to clean it up or you want to learn about bikes, as fozzie says, use the cold dark wet winter weekends to take bits off and clean them up In the meantime, just ride!!!
  23. Doesn't look too bad really. So long as the engine runs and electrics are OK, you should be fine. I'd buy it and spend time riding instead of messing about making it look pretty
  24. Great explanation about countersteering and matching engine revs when down shifting
  25. What makes them think they have the right to cause millions of people to suffer?? My solution? a closed train line, and a serial killer train driver. Let him drive up and down the track all day long satisfying his urges to kill people as the suicidal jump in front. two birds with one stone
