  1. Haha all sold im afraid, sorry about that.
  2. This is my only complaint about the GT-Air. The internal visor doesn't protect your eyes from wind if you have the main visor open. Heres a pic that shows why. The little breath guard deflects the wind up under the internal visor right into your eyes HJC helmets dont have this problem.. I gave my HJC away to a mate when I bought me GT-Air
  3. Did you try different sizes? Forehead pressure suggests you need the larger size. I think HJC do two shell sizes with different padding thicknesses. What helmet size are you in the Shoei?
  4. Welcome. If you have a shoei shaped head you'll probably fit an HJC helmet too.
  5. Good idea for the TMBF Xmas calendar - mods in mankinis. The ideal gift for people you really hate.
  6. I'm debating messing with this guy. There's a whole world of GIFs I can use for him. Do it!! Join in the fun. Anyone who deliberatly holds up ambulances and brags about it on twitter deserves some abuse.
  7. Deliberately blocking emergency vehicles now... ">
  8. I've driven past there many times and keep meaning to pop in for a nose about. They look to have a growing number of bikes on display in the window.

    Mobile Phones

I keep my phone in a lower power mode to extend the battery. To unlock I press the power button and then fingerprint. It's very natural action. Taking it from my back trouser pocket it's normally unlocked and ready to use before I've brought it round into sight. Dirty finger sometimes upsets it in which case the retina scanner unlocks it or last resort I swipe a code. Do you use Bixby much? Or is it just an irritant? Never used it. It's pointless with Google there to do everything already. Also swap the homescreen to the Google now launcher to get loads more cool features.

Yeah I see what you mean. Never held my phone like that before to be honest but I see what you mean. I keep my phone in a lower power mode to extend the battery. To unlock I press the power button and then fingerprint. It's very natural action. Taking it from my back trouser pocket it's normally unlocked and ready to use before I've brought it round into sight. With my thumb on the power button my index finger is right on the sensor.

Finger print readers on the back are very convenient. I just pick my S8+ up any my index finger naturally touches the sensor and the phone unlocks. Couldn't be any simpler. Fingerprint reader on the front requires two hands. One to hold the phone and the other to touch a front mounted sensor. Rear mounted sensors wins for me everytime.
  13. It's a valid consideration IMO. Knowing when to push on and when to cut your losses is a valuable life skill. But i reckon circumstances are the main problem. Riding at night with a crappy 125 headlight after a long night at work dealing with drunken idiots isn't the most conducive environment in which to gain confidence.
  14. Or blocked tank breather. Next time it happens, unscrew the filler cap and let some air in.

SIM free is great. I get 22GB of data and free Spotify for 22quid per month. Spotify alone costs about half that so it's a great deal for me. And if you can't afford to go SIM free immediately, take out a contract to get a new phone then part way through settle the account. It's a way of paying in installments until the settlement figure is affordable to pay off.
  16. I use an old retired bike glove when cooking on the BBQ to keep my hand from cooking!

    Front wheel wobble

Not servicing at the dealer isn't a reason to lose the warranty, especially on something that's not a consumable service part. My guess is wheel needs balancing. Has it got any weights on the wheel that you can see? Maybe they fell off?
  18. Been using them daily on the train to/from London. Great headphones, much better than my previous ones! Nice and small so no doubt they will easily go under my lid with no problems. Not had them fall out yet or make my ears feel funny.. Great bass too for tiny size
  19. Yes you can, you can pay an extra premium to take out cover for the helmet and leathers / riding gear, it was a bit costly when I looked at it ...... in hindsight though ...... not half as costly as new helmet Hindsight is a marvelous thing. But in the long run any kind of claim tends to bump up the ransom, sorry, I mean premium. So you probably haven't really lost out. Helmet/leathers insurance is different policy to the bike insurance so shouldn't effect bike insurance policy. Home insurance might also cover your helmet, but a claim on home insurance would increase your home insurance premium..

What do you use for your music? I just use Spotify these days, but in the past have used Google playon android with no problems.

Guys at work haven't heard of airpods and a wireless charging pad have they? Yep and they all rave about how cool wireless charging is, until I point out android devices have had it for years

Until the galaxy S9 is released, I reckon the S8+ is the best phone on the market at the moment. Guys at work with the iPhoneX all shouting its praises but have all had to come up with solutions to listen to music whilst it's charging as it only has one port! Android for me has been a rock solid platform, never had any update problems and old phones keep running at the same speed unlike Apple devices which are (allegedly) deliberatly slowed down over time by Apple. Also I just bought a new Dex docking station which lets me plug a mouse, keyboard and monitor into the S8+ and use it like a desktop pc.
  23. I've got one, great helmet. My only complaint is that the sunvisor doesn't come down far enough so riding along with the main visor open and the sun visor down, I get an annoying breeze in my eyes. My old helmet had a longer sun visor so I didn't have that problem
  24. It's a lot of time and effort and cost for gasket kit etc. I'd try advertising it with the issue listed so potential new buyers are aware. This time of year there are loads of people looking for winter projects.

    Melted pipe

It lets fresh air into the exhaust to dilute the gasses and make the emissions cleaner. With it unblocked/leaking you'll get bangs and pops and possibly flames out of the exhaust. Block it up and all will be fine.
