  1. Its likely totally over geared too making really slow riding a pain as the bike wants to go faster. To pass the noise and emmisions tests they want the lowerst revs and least noise at 70mph so they over gear most bikes. Said it before many times - first thing every bike needs is a -1 front sprocket.
  2. Presumably a daily ride. Wasn't there the next day so if certainly runs.. Seriously thinking of building a website called ShitBikesOfSantorini.com
  3. Spotted this the other day.. looks like he might need new fork seals.
  4. I cut a bit of drainpipe, drilled a hole in either side, cut the lead off some old appliance, stripped the wires bare, fed live into one hole, neutral into the other hole, droped in some food and plugged it in... I think the poor bugger died with a pretty electrifying head ache.

    Rattle on engine

No nor do I actually. Maybe they just meant a wide tappet clearance but didn't want to baffle the customer with technical jargon . Or maybe it was wobbling around in the valve guide. Tappets was my guess too, or maybe some sort of exhaust/power valve? Im not familiar with the bike so no idea really but it's more likely a 4t with tappets than a 2t with a power valve!

Sounds like a top garage bargain prices and honest fixes. Shame they are not all like that.

Errrrr ....How does that help ? It wasn't meant to.............JFGI. Some people want it on a plate. That assumes that all human knowledge exists on the internet and that it's all been discovered by Google.
  8. I guess I always get sent extreme ones, like the kid trying to sneak past the lorry and ends up under the wheel but escapes because his helmet wasnt done up and that got squished but he wiggled free. Shouldnt need a video like that to tell you dont try and sneak down narrow gaps between large vehicles lol Shouldn't, and even though people watch it, many will still try to sneak down narrow gaps. People are essentially all idiots until they prove otherwise, and then that only lasts a few moments until they confirm they are idiots again.
  9. Parents and pet owners. I go to bed 1am, 2am the dog wakes me up needing to go outside. 3am the baby is awake so I relocate to the spare room. 4am the cat decides he wants feeding. 5:15 my alarm goes off. That sequence of events happens to me on a regular basis.
  10. I'm at my desk by 7am most days. 5.15am wake-up and often dont goto bed until past midnight. Sleep is overrated. But you sleep on the way home on the train and end up at some other station hence not getting to bed till late That's my body shutting down like a laptop with no power.. can't be helped! Haha
  11. Why does nobody manufacture biking gear with water cooling/heating pipes running through?? Might look a bit like a space suit but would be quite useful.
  12. Biking isnt all dry sunny rideouts, things sometimes go wrong. Burying your head in the sand and blocking out reality is never healthy, but then neither is an obsession with crash videos. I have no problems watching them and they can be quite fascinating. Alot can be learnt from watching them too, so avoiding them completely means you're missing out on potential learning opportunities.

  14. Being Chinese the service schedule will be ridiculous and work out very expensive. Not going to say this is good advice but personally I only did 1st service on mine, others I've done myself and to hell with warranty, resell value will be poor anyway and what I've now saved on cost of keeping service schedule through an authorized dealer would cover the cost of any repair if something did go wrong. Yeah, remove sump plug, drain engine oil, remove engine from frame, install new engine, and refit sump plug and add oil.. just don't cross thread it else you'll need a new sump plug too.
  15. I read somewhere in various reviews that some of them are fussy about which SIM card you use. Giff Gaff is one that was mentioned as working when others didn't. If that's your home details in the attachment I'd delete it. Some only accept 2G simcards whereas most simcards these days are 3G or 4G..
  16. Which did you buy?
  17. Seems the TLT2 isn't on eBay anymore. Shame as they are good devices.. There are quite a few more to chose from now though so maybe time I bought some more to play with. Running costs are cheap, just put a £5 Giffgaff simcard in there.
  18. TLT2 from ebay. Stick a simcard in and job done.

    So...

I'm so glad you got that round the right way... Too much information otherwise!!
  20. I grew up in the new forest and went to school in Southampton. I think everyone I know has tried to do 105mph along Thomas Lewis way. And 120mph northbound on the M3 is pretty normal for the Sunday night rush back to London. Not defending him or saying it's right, just saying neither are actually that unusual... The legend we all wanted to achieve was "ton-ten over Totton flyover" which few have achieved, as it's scary as hell, but I've been a passenger in a Sierra Cosworth doing more, but that was pre-speed camera days
  21. Mobius are really good cameras. Is yours the 90 rotated one? Don't think so, it's the same size and shape as a matchbox. The original had to be mounted flat with the buttons facing upwards, which was annoying for helmet mounting, but they make a 90degree rotated version that can be mounted on its side to stick to the side of your helmet. I made my own. I took the original apart and rotatated the camera sensor. There's a thread on here somewhere where it shows how I did it. Great cameras though!
  22. Hit me baby one more time...

  24. You just need better earbuds. Small ones that don't get pulled out when putting your helmet on, and make sure the rubber bit is the right size.
  25. Probably not, and will probably invalidate your buildings insurance keeping a bike filled with petrol in the hallway..
