Loads of rottweilers up for rescue. My last rescue animal was a rescue rottie. They make fantastic pets but they are a large breed and the young ones can be a challenging handful which is why so many are given up.

Lone Wolf, No Clubs Patch?
Joeman replied to Youngbiker819's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Aren't you the lad that's in an RC? Or have you now joined an MC? It's just that this post comes across as if you're in an MC, to be honest wearing an RC patch is not much different than wearing a lone wolf one, you apply to join the club and buy your patch don't you? I do stand to be corrected of course, but your post looks as if you're trying to sound like you're in the HA. And i though the whole point of MCs was that once you're in, you're in for life, so how has the youtuber been members of multiple clubs?? Surely you can't just remove the patch and sew on another can you?? -

its a good reminder of how messed up the world is.. It would seem some people just go looking for something to get upset about and then affiliate themselves with others who want to get upset about the same thing and then use disproportionate force to try and enforce their group's opinions on others outside the group who really don't care and aren't interested. -
Lone Wolf, No Clubs Patch?

But isn't it just the same as people wearing football shirts for clubs they are not players for?? Even worse with some other blokes name (presumably their favourite player) written across the back!! You don't see footballers get their knickers in a twist about people pretending to be them.. -

But why should anyone need to be any more respectful of someone whose wearing a patch than someone who's not? Respect is earned not given so to the majority of humans wearing a patch on your back makes no difference whatsoever. Until you do something to earn additional respect youre just another humanbeing on a bike and command the same level of respect as any other human on a bike. Makes no sense to me that a bunch of people think they command additional respect just for wearing badges on their backs, and all the talk about "being asked nicely to remove it" just stinks of bullyboy tactics and nobody has any respect for bullies. What if someone refused? What jurisdiction do these clubs have over non-club members?? Zero. Maybe they think they earned respect by doing whatever little jobs their club asked them to do, and indeed within their own peer group maybe they have earned "respect", but to the rest of the world, they are just bikers.. nothing more, nothing less. In my world you gain respect by helping people and being kind, not by bullying people into removing items of clothing, that's borderline sexual assault! Discuss. -
I just checked my monthly ticket - it's now £336 per month add to that the £4.80 per day car park fees on the days I drive to the train station and it would almost certainly be cheaper for me to ride a motorcycle to work. I could buy a brand new GS1200 and finance it for less money per month and have another bike to play with... Its tempting.. but Sadiq Khan wants to ban all Motorbikes from London so I'm not taking the risk and have to suffer the trains instead. How's long's your commute? You have a couple of bikes already - no need to buy a new one. Plus of he bans them then just sell it. Can't leave an s1000rr on the street of London and expect it to still be there at the end of the working day!!

Actually this is literally the case for me - a 125 was cheaper than a train ticket (and quicker including the 20 minute walk to the station) or cheaper than a car parking permit. I just checked my monthly ticket - it's now £336 per month add to that the £4.80 per day car park fees on the days I drive to the train station and it would almost certainly be cheaper for me to ride a motorcycle to work. People started taking a dump on the train seats now.. https://www.kentlive.news/news/grim-picture-diarrhoea-southeastern-train-1493117.amp (Wasn't me before you ask)

Thanks!! The more people who can sign the better. Its a disgrace that in 2018 we have to travel in such squalid conditions that we pay a fortune for. My ticket is £325 per month.. imagine the bike I could buy for that.. it's tempting, but then the mayor of London wants to ban Motorbikes and cars forcing everyone's onto public transport. Its a joke. The revolution is coming, and I'm going to be at the front of the queue!!

Totally un-bike related, but my train company is useless and getting worse, so if you could all sign this petition and boost the numbers, that would be fantastic!! https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/216011 This is the sort of thing we are having to put up with: https://www.kentlive.news/news/kent-news/shocking-picture-shows-problem-overfilled-1462068.amp?__twitter_impression=true Cheers

Its ok, recently had 1 wrote off still going through claim so had 0 no claims anyway and even with that insurance came down for my 2nd yr on the road. Fingers crossed it doesnt affect it as they never had full details of this one anyway. What did you hope to achieve by informing you own insurance company?? They will have recorded it as an accident, it will be used against you, and if you fail to disclose it when starting a new policy with any other insurance company, they may also decide to use it against you by accusing you of failing to disclose an accident. Well and truly shafted yourself for zero gain... Oh well, we live and learn.

You reported to your own insurance??? Hope not!! It will be recorded as an accident and you'll need to remember to disclose it for next 5 years.

Reckon you'd have to shunt a bike pretty hard to do any damage to the wheel or swingarm etc. The tyre is designed to take a lot of impact force and the swingarm is a pretty sturdy structure. If you kept it upright the shunt wasn't hard enough to make you lose grip so not hard enough to damage the bike... happy to be proven wrong though.

Joeman replied to jesse's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Good luck! You'll be hooked on bikes soon.. -
You want the black industrial ones - much heavier duty and not that much more. yep, i was just looking at those.. the wheelie one is £180 instead of £130 but has more drawers so would be better for me.... might have a few beers and check my purchases in the morning to see what the beer fairies buy me!

Lone Wolf, No Clubs Patch?
Joeman replied to Youngbiker819's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I just want to see these grown men sat in a circle, sewing patches onto their jackets.... or do they get their mums to do the sewing for them?? seriously, any adult who gets upset about what another bloke is wearing really has far too much time on their hands and should be worrying about more pressing matters instead of trying to be the fashion police!
