  1. Ideally need the actuator to vary the blade geometry with engine speed - not just on/off. Also with no wastegate you'll need a way to regulate boost pressure otherwise the first time you go full throttle you will overboost and blow the motor.
  2. This might give you some ideas.. http://www.tuning-diesels.co.uk/digiboosters/
  3. Needs to be linked to engine revs not throttle position. Otherwise giving full throttle at low revs would cause too much back pressure on the exhaust. Ideally you need a combination of revs and throttle position to control the actuator servo..
  4. That's should be ok.. looked like it was over to one side which would have been weird with three different lengths headers to the turbo..
  5. Looking good Mr Fro! Hard to see from the last photo, but is the turbo offset to the left or positioned centrally? Just wondering about uneven header lengths to the turbo sucking power..
  6. Was it working ok before you messed with the clutch? Not changed another part?
  7. In that photo the bottom adjuster isn't at the max adjustment?

Without any photos, my best guess is a really small Spoon!!
  9. Haha "oh look a dodgy website that people shouldnt visit, I'd better post a link on my favourite forum, but I won't say 'Do not click', I'll let people click the link that's fooled many other people and decide for themselves..." Seriously, don't post clickable links to dodgy sites. It just takes one click to fill up a user's machine with spyware and viruses.
  10. how does that impact the construction and use regulation?
  11. Hence the kw power being given also where?? http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/27/made
  12. Here's a loophole... What happens with electric bikes?? They have a capacity less than 50cc - they have 0cc engines! Means we can all run slicks on our new super quick Tesla bikes

    Buggerd engine?

Add a drop of two stroke oil to your petrol to add a bit of extra lube .. it might prolong the engine life a little.
  14. Second that for the HJC RPHA , best fitting lid I've had and ventilation is fine Other good thing is the pinlock is recessed into the visor and there the top of the pinlock is out of view. Not so with the shoie. Also the internal visor comes right down on the HJC. On the shoie it stops short so you end up with wind blast coming under it.
  15. what i meant was that i just hope they dont still define a television as being a Cathode Ray Tube as they are so old fashioned, nobody is likely to have one anyway!
  16. the other day, i said "im taking the bike for a spin" and the other half said "really? thats such a waste of time, why dont you do some tidying up instead" who in their right mind would pick tidying up over a ride in the sunshine???
  17. A television receiver in the line of sight of the driver remains illegal yes, but i hope they have changed the definition of what a television is, because i dont know anyone with a CRT television in the home let alone in the car!
  18. now im hooked on reading the construction and use!! check this one out - seems they need to update their definition of what a TV is! http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/109/made
  19. i just read section 27 of the construction and use regulation and it seems nothing in there would make this tyre illegal... http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/27/made Im hoping i read it wrong!!
  20. well its a fun debate.. everyone is assuming its illegal, but nobody can categorically say why!
  21. but thats not an answer, come on, legal or illegal? The law is not watertight, it's defined by how a court interprets it, and what legislation they are interpreting at the time. How your average magistrate would interpret that tyre? I'm sure you can figure that out. But thats the whole point of the thread... so come on, legal or illegal?
  22. but thats not an answer, come on, legal or illegal?
  23. HJC RPHA ST I had one until i recently replaced it with a shoei GT-Air. In some ways the HJC is better than the GT-air
  24. Another tool you can make from a plastic milk bottle...
  25. Chavvy woman with kids jumping about inside her car who i caught reversing into a parents parking space next to my car that was also in a parents space but leaving only about 30cm between her car and mine... What's the point in having extra wide spaces if you're going to park 20cm from the next car?? Lucky i caught her doing it when returning to my car carrying a baby seat, i gave her an evil look and gestured that she hadn't actually left enough space to open the door never mind a baby seat between her car and mine but had left almost an entire car width on the other side! I then stood there until she moved her car and was subjected to the most god-awful demonstration of parking skills i have ever seen! Meanwhile her kids were jumping all over the inside of the car... Eventually after about 3 attempts she turned off the engine, the car looked abandoned as it was diagonally parked across the space.. so i shook my head, loaded my child into the car and got out of there quick before her offspring swung open the doors and destroyed my car. Why do we have to share the roads with people like this??
