  1. Riding to the Southend rideout last year, I followed a Harley and two other bikes as we got to the Dartford crossing. I wast paying much attention, just blindly following. Turns out the Harley rode to the wrong barrier and me and the other two bikes followed him! We all sat there like idiots until the attendant came and opened the gate for us! So I know how you feel
  2. But seeing graphs and statiatics is very satisfying.. No little graphs, it never happened lol
  3. The gym I used to go to projected your current stats on the wall whist you worked out from numerous projectors around the building. Had to wear a wireless heart rate monitor around my chest, but seeing the numbers up on the big screen and being able to analyse the data after the workout appealed to the scientist in me (degree in physics so like graphs and stats and stuff). Also the calorie burn figure was good as it may not have been deadly accurate but as a comparative figure between sessions it worked as a good target figure to try and beat each session.
  4. You could look at the various smart watches. The android watch syncs with your phone and I think will log the movement data whilst you are away from your phone. The apple watch might do the same.
  5. Ive got Solid oak floors in my hallway and living room, and porcelain tiles in my dining room and kitchen. Keep real wood away from sources of moisture else it will expand/contract and get ruined.
  6. Hope not, otherwise it means ive fallen asleep on the train again, and it will be another expensive cab ride home!!
  7. yep, could be the crank seals - the smell will be different - wont smell like burnt two stroke, it will smell like burnt gearbox oil
  8. how was he dressed?? like an engineer or a hairy harley rider?
  9. i just use Google FIt thats a free app on my phone that tracks movement (steps and distance walked). set a goal of 1.5hours activity per day. nothing fancy, but its good to keep track
  10. Have you tried with the air filter removed? Lots of smoke and fouling plugs suggests its running too rich a blocked air filter won't help that!
  11. There are "Old Bikers" and there are "Cold bikers", but you dont find many "Old & Cold bikers"....
  12. Hang on guys, If you increase disc size by 20mm you would need to space the caliper out by 10mm. If reducing the disc size by 20mm, the caliper would need to move in 10mm In this case the mounting is correct for the disc size so as long as the position of the pads relative to the mounting is the same as the old caliper you won't lose 10mm of unswept disc.
  13. Legendary bit of road.. When I was in school in Southampton there was a lad who used to boast about doing "a ton-ten over Totton flyover" on his rgv125. That phrase stuck with me and all my mates (and a few may have actually done it... )
  14. I want to setup something like the ancients Egyptians had, that on a certain day every year the planets align and the suns rays beam through a hole in my garage roof and illuminates my bike with its magical golden glow... That will mark the first day of biking season..
  15. That's a bloody good deal! What network? Vodafone 12month sim only deal. Half price at the moment with free Spotify/Netflix subscription included in the price!
  16. Mobile data bundles are so cheap at the moment we shouldn't be worrying about data usage anyway. I pay 20quid a month for 22gb of data and unlimited calls and texts.
  17. I think the voice recognition is processed in the cloud so even with a local copy of the maps you may still need internet for "OK Google" to work... Don't know, try it. Switch on flight mode and see.
  18. No need to press a button. Just say "ok Google" and give your android device instructions to follow. As for post codes, just give it the street name and area. Let Google work it out.
  19. what gets me about this incident is, that if the dog was acting predictably enough to be able to run it over deliberately, it was probably acting predictably enough to catch it. im sure they will never share the in car footage...
  20. The optimate one looks to have a little box of tricks attached rather than just a solar panel with croc clips: http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/produc ... oupID=9256
  21. Haha it will don't worry. Any excuse to drink beer, ride a motorbike and sleep in a tent ...and draw cat faces on people. I managed about 90% of the pub I think! Nearly got the bride too..
