  1. You need a L plate on the back aswell . Ok i wont but seeing as you listen but choose to ignore advice that is solid from others ill state some more so there is no excuse of "i didnt kno guv". Reason its stupid (especially for road use) and economically pointless to put it bluntly, 40 is still good and more than enough for a road 2stk 50 to get yourself or someone else killed with. there is a good reason its restricted to 6k,for its 2stroke power its already pumping out more than its 4stks equivalent plus ull be spending a fortune in rebuilding than riding it, if you dont crash it first. Its been designed for this state of tune in mind and you just slapping a part or two will just damage or destroy something else within the engine. Even if it didn't pop after a short while, It will be unbearable at that rev limit with the noise if you were trying to get anything worth while out of modding which apart from doing your own hearing loss, annoying every body unnecessarily with everybody view you as a inconsiderate yob. If you was to do this as "off road"on a track fair enough but on a public highway which you restrict yourself and financially a money pit with these mods , drawing attention to your illegal acts. will void insurance if not listed on the policy black listings you for years if bothered to actually try and get one through hook or crook. courts (if you really fook up) take a real dim view of this type of stupidity when you have voided it even if your lucky to not harm or kill someone. really the bottom of it is go for a bigger bike legally, go through the system properly like everybody else in your position or go on track to get your kicks. If you want other advice, hanging your lid off the handle bar/mirror is mank enough but to put it on the foot peg isnt a good idea, it disgusting as all the road grime and so forth are now in your lid, on your face and hair also the pegs dig and gudgue out the inside lining and epf.
  2. How old and miles? Condition and service history of what done? Yes one of the many possible causes the theory if the clutch is not engaged or disengaging correctly. Another is if the idle is too high so it still thinks its being driven. incorrect torque on the belts.
  3. Humans are very adaptable which is great but that also is a problem if the bike aint right we will just put up with it which just aint the best when the machine can be adjusted. Best way is to get a side picture of you on the bike in a few different positions, upright without touching the bars (like waiting at lights for ages k or parked up, gripping the bars up right in a normal town touring then finally in a tuck. if the bars are too wide or too narrow. kicked out or tapered too much. different seat height can also play a part thses can have an impact of your discomfort. if your discomfort is one side it could also be if the handle bars are not central or if you have old injuries that centre might be wrong for your own psychological issues.
  4. Yep any chat or changes indeed incurring a administrative fee from the off with pretty much all insurances but some local brokers wavier these. Template for these websites are mostly car biased so other modding options is rarer to be required with some insurances. also a good operator that knows the system is great for working with the sliders and options to give a better result (quote). also reasking or having to recheck knocks the system adding increased premium.
  5. Hi
  6. But i like Toads ,nowt wrong with them. But human douches or humoads you could call them id let slide...
  7. Do we have to ask you? But there isn't a thread for that one. car to nominate someone moany enough?
  8. On those emulators fork oil change is easy with basic tools, patience, little care to attention, Wrenches, sockets, measuring jug, stick to measure air gap. Dont bother with 10wt fork oil, its far too thin for std emulators, if you want super comfortable 15wt but 20wt at std air gap is a better point. check the shock to see if its got any damping left in it. only thing you'll need to do if it doesn't have a centre/abba/headstock stand is to take weight off the front of the bike, if you have a garage with ceilings beams you could lash the handle bar/clips to that.
  9. Nice. Triumph triples are gems for allround ridablitly. if its got 33thou on the clock and the suspension hasn't been changed or serviced properly recently it will definitely be very tired. fork oil change, shock oil and gas refresh (if possible) would be minimums.
  10. Exactly so the insurance company that the vehicle is covered involved in any claim against it would have to shell out but in the after math they would chase whoever they could (policy holder or "the friend") to recover the losses which ever gives them the better option and still black mark you for years afterwards just to make sure you understand the severity of the decision. The police's problem will be different to the insurances issue with all this. all the police will be bothered is if its insur (to actual drivers allowed),tax, tested. the actual insurance company could revoke the policy as default (direct or by small print) if they got wind of it to remove any potential liability to them. Agreed with police , something is amiss with the information given. Even if a quick ANPR check would have not flagged owt if basic insurance, tax, mot etc came back clear...so whats gone on tohave their attention??
  11. Most people forget one rule! They would still have to pay out any dues if any occurrence happened. Also insurance and law dont give shite about "friends" that word doesn't exist to them. is that the policy owners insurance has the care and duty to pay out in the first instance to the first or third party regardless that is the law end of! So for them they would have to pay out, This is a case of trying to cover of any wrongdoing to innocent party...then the real slap of their rage begins in either short or long term of black marking you or court proceedings when or if its up to the insurance to chase the person who did it (friend) or failing that the policy holder to recover losses... so for them you did the wrong by allowing this person to ride your bike without insurance and they would have to suffer consequences if hed ran someone over or destroyed something else etc they would have to pay out to the other parties no matter what paper work or otherwise clause as that is law but then how much or what level theywould go to recover this is very open ended and the law will be on there side to enforce it. other reasons they might not be impressed is that if you insurance has the clause of no other rider being allowed other than named on the document. your friend is tpft insurance includes with the clause of not being allowed to ride other bikes etc.... the reason for that is that to remove chances of people buying a cheap policy on something else like a winter hack/cheap shite) but trying to "cover" to ridde a bigger or more expensive vehicle to live beyond their means under a blanket policy that some people in certain societies especially cars still try to this day..
  12. As Bender just said ( beat me to it) Depends on why it was cancelled in the first place. id be looking at specialist brokers, bad credits, convictions etc. keep yourself sqweaky clean for a few years then try main stream again.
  13. Or to flip it a bit silly buying a switch when the unit is fooked.....lol the only way to confirm to a certain degree is to continuity test the unit is its individual leds....
  14. Same here but with all bikes varys from 2000-2019, carbs to inject with the best reasonable prep to them they all have to a certain degree trouble to start after a couple of months of a couple of prods to a full drop all fuel, clean out and start afresh... i really like motoguzzis for some reason even though ive never owned one...was so close to buying one (V7or9) to replace the 955i before the gsf i have now. im a year or so down the line with but if i was to suddenly need to change the gsf, the motog sel in the same green you have would be on my first list to try out...i happy to say out very jealous and hope you have a real trouble free time with the bike.
  15. Plan it to a rough guide but always try to factor in shite happens or foreign bs as best as web knowledge can factor in.
  16. Tink is correct westy especially if your on older tech or don't have the luxury of a warmer space garage... most manufacturers give an assumption that you'll not use bike within a small windos with a possible E5, with full kids gloves and best hibernation route over a average outdoor wet, cold storage Even my most modern bike (2019) it first start after its short winter hib. In fact for various reasons of stupidity varying manufacturers even said changes of preload to a suspension is dangerous and will validate warranty westy so do you really read their liberal as bible? Id rather use Use common sense, research and experience. even when with different injection bikes or various ages they have been hit and miss....
  17. You fortunate barstard! , so jealous but good for you . Blackpool? Obviously not on this side of the world, its still a shite hole of the highest regard of northern Britishness let alone other foreign views
  18. Yep everything is going against you. Eu license. London resident, the highest risk not even considering thief. A1 license with a Chinese made bike, the older the more risk there is to them.... dont ask me why the list is sooo long!!! no security measures? dependants. single, male, young? status. Try a specialised insurance broker. single. yada yada... under writers are the most anal unlikable as*holes.
  19. Put some fresh petrol with stabiliser (top up fuel) in the bike, E5 as what was still in from the last ride in nov from a refuel of oct had started to die off as it had taken many attempts to try start the bike. so peeps 2 months my advice is the reliable date of even good fuel to work is without an additive's....
  20. when did you suddenly decide to trust google? as a work site that has many of them plus many electric engineers that say the same. to put a actual truth to this depending on how many units leds are linked into a unit, quality and use case. units can go at any time and to what grade goes or degrades. While sections or partially is as about as accurate as "whats the length of a piece of string" they die at anytime and its tough sh1t...
  21. Stickers. Default onlines which inntodays world is a piece of piss generally or just make markers with conversion
