You can have giggles and scare yourself silly all in the space of a single left and right corner! on the topbox, I’ll say it…I’ve seen the benefits over the stereotypical bs that others put over it because they don’t need it…
  2. I know sad as it is Rennie, im assuming you miss the wsbk. I like the wsbk more than the modern moto pre madonna slags, im working but it’s price is well too high (that will pay for my years fuel or more than two and a half years of insurance) for what it is especially after Eurosport, I know Eurosport wasn’t perfect but it just about made it at the price. I like to watch and prepared to pay for wbsk series as a whole (and other stuff) now they have more classes like the women’s to watch but I certainly have a big issue when I have to pay a stupid amount, have bigger ar*eholes on, a shite setup and still put tons on ads on it…last words BT can get fooked…..
  3. It was answered, which as I said what would be needed, ie a lot of faffing for not a lot of benefit… the likely hood is very low but maybe the alarm and or its battery is goosed? Does happen and if that is so…
  4. Whats Pointless? i said the charging issue needs addressing and the list of which it could be. the battery needs a change but that alarm will still go off anyway. to remove the alarm if he wanted some peace while working on it would take some time anyway. Insurance or what ever I don’t need to state that but still there no power left in the bike and alarm it’s nick-able all the same and what would you have said to the insurance? Well if it had no battery or power left in it….
  5. As I view “Servicing”, not really. warranty claims and time maybe? from my actual “experience” of, I had as whole better than the neighbour had with his time on the Yamaha he bought himself as a retirement present. So to clarify: would i recommend one to someone I didnt know as Chinese bikes stand as of now? No, not yet. if I knew them and made sure they knew why, to look for and risks if I thought it was the right bike for them, maybe. yes I knew the potential problems and yes I did hit them but the dealer was good and the manufacturer just said yes to it all. So for me with my experience was less problematic and was better for it, and I would potentially venture to the brand again yet the neighbour won’t with is experience. now obviously it would have been better if it didn’t have it but to me the back up you receive is just as important as anything else. Nothing worse than buying something expensive and the manufacturer being very difficult or just says fook off. i love Italian bikes and cars but many wont entertain the idea to owning one. are they reliable in general view, not particularly but yes they have gotten better but still a way to go, yet been at it for longer. Are they getting there, yes. Will it take them long? Dont think so. should other nation manufacturers be concerned about looking at the competition , depending on who you are- yes.
  6. Agree with bender, that sounds like you have another problem as its not charging the battery properly, triumph are known for the odd rectifier and more common and costly worst case the stator. problem you have the alarm will have its own battery you’ll just need to put up with going off till you change the battery. For the alarm -is it just an alarm or immobiliser aswell? If it triumphs generally most are reasonably plug and play. If you wanted to remove it the only way would be to strip the unit from the loom wire by wire, some will be clipped but some hard wired. not a particular hard job but a time consuming and fiddly job to do right.
  7. . Not watching this season, world endurance racing, women’s racing or BSB (properly). certainly not through Eurosport now as it is now TNT, robbing ********. might go through WSBK itself, its something like at least three and a half times cheaper than a short tnt season.
  8. • Apple AirTags While in no way a monitored system, Apple AirTags are interesting as they’re located by Apple devices nearby, and there’s a good chance at least one of the thieves will have a newish iPhone. You’ll struggle to set one up if you have an Android device, the battery lasts about a year if you dont use it, problem is also the range and the need for other iPhones or a form of network nearby. so securing one without it disappearing months down the line while on a ride might be a challenge. also this might be a double edged sword, but the main flaw is that nearby ones can be located easily, so checking for it on a bike is quick and easy, even with an Android phone thanks to Apple’s Tracer Detect app.if they hang another one with it it will tell them if there is an air tag there…then they know what to look for… If it was cheap set up, look at monimoto.
  9. If you remember westy, it was about finding out if they would service and fix a bike that wasn’t bought through them or has any affiliation with the brand they deal with, not about buying a “Chinese” bike. they might very well have a better used examples aswell…

  12. Those little holed bricks wouldnt hold up to much and with them being so small and low down it’s easy to just get to one brick (they don’t give a shit if they damage your wall. get around the gate, The weakest parts of the gate will be either the so called lock, the middle panel and the joint to the posts, but id doubt it would put up too much of a fight. Best would be in the garage, cement in the floor, *middle of But between the bike and wall where your going to put the bike, if its a pain to get to then great, harder work for the thieves. Again the weakest part will be the link or the wall. personally I’d go drill into the ground rather than damage a good wall of the house or garage *, either what’s there already or cement it in, depending on your options. being high up does make sledge hammer hard work if not impossible (but then might just knock your wall out) but slightly easier to angle grind. oh and when you do go off on the bike don’t leave the chain and lock attached to the anchor, they could do a quick trip to weaken the chain or lock abit while your away, then return to finish it off in less time when the bike is back and locked up in be known to you.
  13. Is the bmw same dealer as the Honda but two different parts or different franchises? if not I’d ask at the beemer one? Pop in? they do a 300, 400scooter, and a 800 av that can be detuned to 46hp…might uave good used examples, worth a shot? Id also ask the lexmoto one? They might be a garage to fix things primarily but has the lexmoto as a side part of the business? Many smaller places work that way. yes spend time sitting on them, not just a quick jump and off, you might find a fixed lever annoying or the pegs to high etc, they only show up after a little bit. me personally I’d try to stick away from pcps if you can for now as they stick you to it and d expensive to change, especially if your not sure what you really want or need or have plans in the near future. If they bought it and then they say boring, just the wrong choice from the individual.

Wife had a 125 with a small box of about 20-30ltr, 2metre 10mm link chain and lock, 1mtre link chain and lock, disc lock, tyre repair kit and other stuff, plus has added small shopping things on the odd time, more than the stated, never fell off. I have a 58ltr one. Had a 1.5mtr 14mm chain and lock, disc lock, 6x1ltr milks, 6 packs of cheese, numberous packs of beer and other stuff. it was an essential odd and sods run etc done numberous times and never fell off even at spirited back roads, obviously can handle more than the 10kg quoted.
  15. Hi and congratulations. Until end of last year we had the wife’s cbf125, some Pretty steep hill around us, as long as you keep it in the sweet spot of the upper range it should be good, don’t worry aslong as it’s got fuel and a good amount of oil in it keeping it to red line is ok for it and wont harm it. skinny tyres don’t need much action to get them to turn, we had a top box on it so wind could catch it, if you tuck in it reduces the wind drag- a little goes a long way with those things. well one question goes, who’s gonna service it? You or the Honda dealer or some other some dealers/garage? Need to check what conditions this dealer has? Some have a policy of only servicing their own sold bikes first and others to a certain age it reaches…so just don’t assume. So this dealer with a “poor selection of used bikes” is already saying what it does and has an interest in… Should be a small bike business somewhere rather than a stealers about, maybe you havnt noticed? Some don’t bother with FB or online side of stuff, too costly and time consuming. just to note be mindful that the list their are roadsters apart from the cbr650r which is sort of classed as a my first sportsbike… What sort of price bracket are you thinking? Plus check the insurance for any bike prior to committing to, they can vary wildly. the engine configurations will have a very different aspect to how it goes about its business not just power, a low powered but revvy inline 4 might be tiresome around your area for you (plus smaller profile bike for a big chap). mt07 is more of a wilder Beast, giggles for experienced riders Sunday blast but maybe abit too wild and edgy? Depends on you mind set but is suspect if your put off by the cbf125 moving about abit then I think edgy is not the way at the moment… the trident triple is a good alternative but expensive and some don’t like the triple engine….personally I love it. a parallel twin or vtwin (like a Suzuki vstrom) is a great road choice. tons of torque low down and flat delivery, I spent a happy 4years on one (A2class bike of 500cc 46hp so roughly five times the power of the cbf125) AFTER I sold the triple 955cc so a massive down sizing, would easily do over 100 with at least 4thou left in reserves even with a pillion on, never got below 75mpg, service was cheaper, consumables were cheap and lasted. if your a tall and big chap then maybe a adv style of bike maybe better for you? More details will narrow it down for us.
  16. In order of likely: Reg rectifier - possibly looks like it works but internally put part of it has failed. your stator has failed. wiring/connectors/ground id in poor condition.
  17. But did you miss anything else by not reading it?

Agree with fender…doesn’t matter if it’s you hit a solid object of just sliding along…doesn’t take much even with a back protector, but just the lumpy bit that can cause a twisting motion is bad for you. ambulance and doctors hated the small aero hump that was abit of foam in it on racing leathers so what you you think they’re opinion of a larger solid mass kgs lower down will be like?

  20. Maybe you both needed to read the booklet/instructions?
  21. Maybe if you read the booklet?
  22. Short of it everyone is correct with nod mentions to fliddles, ray and bender. You are correct Chris, As usual it’s fook wits that are wrong, they see the L plate and think they can boss about or they are either really stupid or idiotic. racing lines if they were fast enough is one thing but on public road road with actual road layout is another thing. I suspect there is a pinch point just a bit further on so a lane two (blue) becomes one and the right lane has to filter but they think they can just barge their way in…..so in that scenario -YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE WAY TO THE MOFOS on the right, you have priority they they have to bloodly wait….
  23. Yes so as onesea pointed out and I said you need to put a spin on it or something that will attract them otherwise people will just go with quick default of mass market or easier to get at for a “reasonable price”, at least for the investment within a crowded market. so for example the metal will be seen as more durable with the view of “hand me down” or pass on from the buyer, and Boys will be boys….. wood, if taken from responsible resources will be the partly eco friendly view. More from recycled parts are eco….
  24. I’m waiting for one of “ old the timers” to make the joke(s) . so just what sort of “brands” or licensed are we talking/are you able to do? I’d be looking more like what bonio suggested, So something like working on your own brand image and put a spin on it slightly or make it look like a racing team, like an independent? how much interest directly …don’t know, mostly girls in the families circle , half of the boys bothered with the balance, one of them was more often than not on one but the other wasn’t fussed.
  25. Probably the best helmet Ive had was an x-lite 801. The race brand which is/was part of the same Nolan group that was viewed more tour/road segment brand. interior was better than shoie is which is very good. the mechanism feel was better than arai and sharks. visor vision, build and cost were with hjc and arai. lighter than the arai and miles quieter than even my shoei. pin locks never went missing some how, yet with my shoei I’ve lost twice as many as I did with my arai. nothing broken or wore out. probably the only down side was the chin vent could of been a bit wider/useful. actually I might even still have it somewhere???
