  1. Hi and welcome
  2. Driving a car is different and with the idea of a comfortable safety cage can make people to complacent and reckless. At the end of the day just because you drive a car and now trying for a bike doesn’t mean your comparing apples to apples, its apples to lemons at best. There is a line….a fine one to put it blunt. At some points maybe you were in too much of a rush/making too much progress at the risk of safety at first but then with advice you went too hesitant, Just a thought. SD - putting forward of “its your pass or fail”, no its the examiners pass or fail and the instructor would have a good idea as to what that is to achieve a pass.
  3. Halfords, screw fix, b and Q, autofactors do them, doesn’t need to be fancy. as a tip to help use them and not sure for what is loose or tight, what ever you use as a number you need 0.40 for example, a .40 fits ok without damaging the feeler to get it in, if the tolerance is 0.10+- and a 0.50 slips right in with no resistance you’d count its too loose, if its very reluctant to fit in or doesn’t fit its fine.
  4. Its great to do all that. To some buyers they can take a look new or old, make a face value on a bike and call it from that. to some if a newish (I’ll class as three years or under) looks rough then it’s safe to say your definitely gonna have a few issues to over dress as it condition shows its value. some may not be bothered if it needs a bit of TLC and preparing to address that but it’s still a newer bike. if it’s an older bike say like ours (mine is a 2005 was on 4k two years ago) but in good condition and lowish miles then the main problems aint the same so may require different issues sorting, then again it might not. I bought on condition, was prepared to take those aged issues and parts if it came to it rather than hours and hours fighting and looking at a messy one, and it’s been good for me. Some may not be interested in an older bike but would it be better than the newer but rougher bike? Personally i dont think so but others will disagree and that’s fine. thats how two different buyers can be and prepared to deal with it. bringing an old(er) bike but perfectly good one back to a safe and usable state again while using it all the while is great .
  5. This Sounds like a picture for a forum calendar…which month would you be bender?
  6. Probably everywhere and anywhere, so either assume so or do as locals do…. failing that using google maps and Waze will be a good idea.
  7. OC is correct , so the bike situation will be even worse and that’s with one of the better manufacturers and there European brand ties.
  8. Any of the small capacity jap bikes, aslong as it isn’t flash or shouty your fine -bog standard currier type, basically not the ones you’d head straight to in the shop. so just to other suggestions er6- f/n, Yama have one, Suzuki sv/gsf, Loads about and cheap for parts. If you a risk taker, you could go used Chinese bike? That will be cheap but id view that as a throw away bike in a few years…
  9. . dont know much about their beer (other than the one westy said, is alright) but I know the Thai ones .
  10. MotoGb are the distributors/importers not the owners.
  11. A lot of garages/mechanics will advise against it (mine does) if it deems necessary. At the end of the day a bike that’s compatible with E10 is RESISTANT to the ethanol, how long/short or where before it comes a victim to it varies.
  12. If you buy the fuel and beer!
  13. Dont know if that counts as Out of the frying pan and into the fire or the other way round? anyway forum will be happy to help,
  14. Keeway didn’t resurrect benelli, Keeway is a brand name under ZQM, both Keeway and benelli is part of the geely parent group.
  15. Filled. Agree with fiddles that is what will be done. We may have a voice but its not the same as theirs, so the dictatorship will continue.
  16. Yeah not a good sign to put it mildly.
  17. Link not working bud. Flush ones will be push release ones, sometimes the panels screws/bolts have to be go from the inside so the seat will have to come off to get between the frame and inner panels. generally- screws, bolts, hex and torqx.
  18. To add: your still liable to that bike while you have insurance attached to it as you can’t have two insurances to one bike. if the new owner has an accident your insurance have to pay out put they will probably chase you for the total cost as you didnt own it and had no interest in the bike anymore. also with the view if you sell it (your not the owner) they can black mark you for falsely insuring it. So potentially really messing your reputation with insurances. you have two years to the anniversary of the ncb which the policy full year (term) ended. Im sure you have enough years in the bank so just stop it and start again when needed.
  19. Agree with plastic rain ex as it’s good but doesn’t last as long, needs really good buffing or it smears forever. not as good as the glass version. As an alternative you could use a NATURAL car wax….
  20. So a grubby shop worker or prior wearer fitted it. Sounds more like you got given a “open box, display or a demo lid” especially if it had it fitted. Bubble? did you forget to take the protective film off? Only other time it will bubble or water separation happens is when the outer pinlock is soaked/absorbed lots of water and is drying out. That’s its brilliant properties of how it works.
  21. Second Billy’s post. Use second gear, med revs around the corner (use the higher revs for stability and control) and about 3/4 around the long corner arc start increasing the speed towards the trap, it will still leave a few thou head room past the speed trap. the low gear and higher revs it will help with braking when you need to stop at braking part. other wise it will bog and roll on, ull either have to change down or coast too much when you should be getting braking assistance from the engine as its in a low gear…
  22. manufacturer of or seller? price budget.
  23. Cringey Idiots with More money than sense - lol.
  24. Depends on the year model? from what I can find out of a early model, the looks of it the FWS 42 is white and grey, then white and black to the abs module/abs 44. Obviously you want to use it on the roads hence the Speedo. bicycle one’s off only go up to a Certain speed then it’s too much off memory.
