    Testing...

    Hi!
  4. New members? Hello! . welcome back to two wheels. A few missing through one means or another. Helmets and clothing has gotten alot better. Prices gone up on Fuel, bikes, tyres, insurance, parts etc. Chinese stuff ( bike market manufacturer's) has grown in numbers, gotten abit better but not that much cheaper to buy. A few members have been putting on good project threads up recently for winter reading! Might give ideas and hints?
  5. Wonder who'd click a like for it?
  6. to add a bobber isnt a rev hungry or a mega power house unit, more like a car engine so triumph would have been daft not to try and design it to run best off E10. Longer term for some units being if engine cant tell or adjust for get the best burn cycle possible is the potential higher risk of carbon buildup /choking. Which case if the unit falls into that category, fuel additives in the fuel to clean / super unleaded every few fill ups to reduce or slightly less effective (also costlier depending on oil) is more regular oil changes. if your a pcp bitch its not your problem but If your gonna keep the bike/car or longer ownership, it might be worth adjusting service or own maintenance as required. Long and short of it is - If your bike can run on E10, you're using the bike all year round and it seems better for it ok then just keep to that. If anything different adjust accordingly.
  7. They are naturally quite tight from new and take at least 4k to run in properly. Most of the emissions testing is lower down the rev range so all cf have done to try cheaply clean up a dirty engine is programmed it to run an even leaner fuel map, closed loop circuit more aggressively which KTM would not do for the user experience...yada yada yada. further up the rev range it wont be as much of a problem but in towns and slow stuff its gonna be there and a pain until you trick it or flash it off, no matter how many more miles you add on it. Long term not brilliant for the user experience nor for the bike. the thin seat is still gonna be felt even with a shorter rider. Kawa would be worth more even 3rd,forth hand, part's plenty and every garage would work on them unlike the cf. its a reasonably nice looking bike and they are making head way i must say, give company 10years more to tidy up manufacturing process and refine then they may be viewed as an alternative if its kept it real world cheaper than the competition like over 25%less. good conclusion and i would agree.
  8. Obviously has to keep the Cat which does a hell of alot of work on noise control as a by product, still it will be deafening. Std can and pipes look nice but seems a little out of place with the restof the bikes manga style. Cant see most allowing it especially the "track one", only back water areas of America and what few are left in the outskirts of Europe. just when you think they couldn't make it look more outrageous eyesaw -those lights (i wont describe it) and front cowl in well lack of, looks so unfinished to me to put it nicely.
  9. Think? Should have bought one with it just done if non private. Most garages charge Minor an hour, hour and a half depending on bike. major including valves add afew more, some bikes V4 and old duc's more so again if they aint used to working on them.
  10. Click on them? Good for them and i hope it does well for them but is it really too late to the party already well filled market already moving forward to other technologies?
  11. Not a super honda fan myself but i Like the rvf400 as particularly interesting and brother had one for a while. What colour scheme?
  12. all that has happened is that after miles, use, rubbing etc it has worn the top layer with tiny scratches on it allowing water and crap to sit in it and holding to it rather than hydrophobic it off. Wind screen ones (normal rainx) are meant for glass, not plastic as its aggressive solvent based but is really good. It makes visors really hard and shatter with prolonged use of and before anyone says -yes it does affect them btw. They do sell a plastics one thats water based but its not as good nor long lasting. one route if your inclined but shock horror it requires effort to do the best job off poor conditions would be to use a compound paste, detail, then possibly a light wax or a safe hydrophobic coating of your choice. now i wouldnt be surprised to hear someone say blasphemy! or might aswell buy another one but for some certain brands are less stocked or not catered for. now rather than type about it look at YT fortnines (ryan) piece on it and fogging but im sure just like on another tread some mofo will cry foul about it...
  13. Nope not cheeky its two wheels! funny enough sometimes the cycles are better for security as they get good post to chain too, most of the time motorbike bays have nothing to use...
  14. And they are seriously arsey about enforcing it too, let alone the coppers lacking normal human empathy face to face... so you can face the dreaded brown envelope like the rest of us.
  15. . One way to beat the colonel in the market, A chicken is gonna go a long way now! .
  16. Hello from someone that doesn't travel that far.
  17. Welcome. Keep it shiney side up!
  18. Use heated grips on all my bikes including the wifes but always stuck to oxfords long term. from memory of reviews they aint bad just cheaper, not the hottest nor the same either side, wiring a bit thinner and connecting not as good sort of get what you pay for really. If its only for infrequent use and you dont normally suffer with cold hands it might be worth a pun. R&G ones are like inbetween the two.
  19. Or shall i save you the trouble? it already had the 20% off before the BFS that was probably gonna run out the day before but now it has the BFS price of 20%off now? So the same sale/discount but just been for longer?. Which helmet? whats it's rrp? What was it before the sale?
  20. Not much wrong with a heathy 125 for a young un for daily use. To add to that, the disc look is only worthwhile as an additional to a decent chain. small capacity engines come with small rotors so the gaps in the space between the inner rotor and the hub are small but the face is quite wide due to most are solid discs, floating more common in slightly larger bikes, a modern one up about 400-500 class. so the pin of the lock will be about 7mm max which most can be defeated with a decent hammer and a few limp wrist strikes.
  21. young uns pay the same or more for alot less and don't mean they will defo crash or stolen claim either. Not brilliant paying out for stuff but save it for the ones on the start of the ladder. Yep looks decent price but Let me get this straight, Really still gonna start whining? Look at it from their view: not even looking at males, longer without a claim the more likely you might have a claim while your policy is with them, yada yada yada ....Two bikes worth how much? Lets round off to £10k each just for ease, £20k So a policy that is 9% to cover two desirable fairly nickable bikes in or near problem areas, not including if you have a crash all buy yourself, hit something or someone else....cost id be surprised if that is still less than to cover just a whole proper whiplash claim.
  22. Well im surprised they haven't shoved the emissions side argument of that yet (all doing a slower speed) just to enforce it and push aside the possibility its not revenue driven.
  23. Good choice of upgrade, the other is cbf125. test seat height for yourself. just look out for unsympathetic use, crashes and service history. Aged units 8yrs or older suspension units will be due refresh. Oil check on dip stick with it sat ontop of the tread casing and not screwed in.
  24. The cost of additional sourcing and whole process. Thats your hit, Mpg costs are to save emissions so every little helps.
