Life saver neck mobility on a sports bike
RideWithStyles replied to Interference Fit's topic in Motorbike Chat
Raising you head wont do because the more arced back the head is the less the movement you have because of the spine and neck bone wont allow it, they only have so much movement with the axis amd little sticky out bit at the back let alone the muscles... so one thing i also noticed from a previous picture is the bars are too narrow and So acute to the tank for your body that why your outside palm naturally wants to sit ontop and infront of the outside grip because your body wants a flatter bar to grip to... which also makes your elbows stick out and hunch your shoulders and with tour height and spine length is pirching you over but very high up making the lifesaver nearly impossible even if you have a neck like michael van de mark if you could defy medical frets like Tombs off xfiles. dropping shoulders just to try that will make you sort of swing on the bars as tour already baring down on the things with your height plus on a sports bike even a lazy one with tyres they dont need much push on the bars to start turning... also your levers could do with lowering abit more so your dont have to roll to grab it which is bad let alone inexperienced panic braking, the same if not a bit more for the rear brake lever be better to your ackle, which should will let you nknee a touch lower to get a natural grip... -
Good Morning Good Night and General Chat.

Nice! Shame its far too south for me! . -
Yep been there and seen it, JUST KEEP PRACTICING including the weakest part of your riding so its not a problem. Jan is Correct aslong as its about the right things for actual priority- cars and people yes, squirrels and small birds no as ive have seen the irrational. remember your training, and if needs be some schools will offer extra training just to make sure. Very worst case if you wanted you could ask others to ride with / drive behind for support until you get more comfortable about it?

Looks nice and should do well for Benelli since a lot of hard work has been done previously within the business, just set a course and follow it. Sides looks ok but not particularly big? Generally Top boxes take helmets rather well. that one is particularly square, maybe spongebob designed it? but instead of wide across the bike is left to hang way off the back, that looks....unusual? the rather square and industrial looking boxes on a swoopy styled bike just stand out for the wrong reasons to me but then im not into the adventure bikes, yet. Enjoy and get the miles on now.

£1500 or the bike.

Good Morning Good Night and General Chat.

You forgot all the other identifications, you cant miss them out now you've said it -
If its quite sudden speed change (like its putting the brakes on for you or suddenly feels like its dropped agear) and mechanical sounding clunking or grinding or harmonics whine id be looking at the cvt. if its gradual slowing down or speeding up by its self with no interaction from you its more likely electrical unless a cable or housing or like that for the throttle/carb is at foul play?

No. long time ago i heard rumours and tales during covid lockdowns of strange goings on involving chairs and socks...i just assumed it was to stop s going missing or stop chairs feet getting cold.

Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 and Corsaro Models Revealed
RideWithStyles replied to Admin's topic in Motorbike news
Cape = blown over wheelie bin look. The sport- looks just like that chinese bike thats a knock off of a ducati styling, knock off - off a - knock off. really hard to see what its place , who for, how it will compete in the market in that regard? Engine too small and slow for racing and probably struggle with the regs anyway. If you was gonna replace a r6 or something along those lines your just gonna pick something else first, second, third.... Missed a trick there would have been better if they designed it as sport touring bike. good size engine and configuration for a alternative road bike if you didnt like Suzukis styling or couldn't afford a Ducati assuming its way cheaper but really doubt it (sv and ss). i might have even had a look at it at a stand or if at the dealership if i was already there to look at something else. The corsaro got abit of a old superduke 990 and early to mid 2000 z1000 look and usefulness to match. how many dealers do they have now? be surprised if more than 2 in the uk. Feel for them really intrigued and want them to do well but its far too little and really too late realistically for global foot hold, at best Mostly for the home market im afraid. -
But the only lovely looking adventure bike.
-
Thanks keep us on our toes. Talking about having ur wits about you Err Wtf is going on over there? Have you joined Westy's crew now?
-
No Gero it wasnt missed, suitable reply mentioned it about 15 posts in by myself and two others.

Under the seat between the engine and the tank, most likely on the top or slightly to the side. Black box size of a fag packet, It will have an embossed label fuse.

Yes getting there Those are super sports to sports of the era, ill start at the supersport side: the cbr is a good bike, less variable mechanics downfalls but its more super sports with higher and thinner seat, one more for experienced fast road rides to trackdays at the time id say, hence why it might have 8 owners. Trying to get decent luggage (beyond a small tail pack is difficult to silly) or be worth while is a negative for what you want to do. They do suffer with recifiers. but would I recommend this to you for that it sound like you want to do, no. then the daytona not a bad bike, slightly more road going and mechanics good. but one thing to keep an eye out is the electrical side, stators, regs, alarms, batterys... Still a little bit fast A road stuff. the TT is more again road bias, similar to the daytona with older swooping looks. Better. think there are better options for your more wider use, so start a list at which some one most likly mentioned before not in any order; suzuki sv650/s, gsx600 early 2000 to 650, gsf600-650/s. yamaha yzf600r, fz600/fz6 fazer. Honda hornet , cbr600f early 2000 or late 90s The model you said was a bit too ss. NT700V Deauville... kawazaki er6f. Very early zx6 or zzr600. I think there are a few more but thats the main ones id go with. With your weight the sv650 engine will work well as its a vtwin like a ducati, loads of torque low down the rev range and can rev out if your in the mood but its less fussed about it to make progress, cheap as chips, parts galore other than that the other exception is the er6f being a parallel. most of the others in the list are pretty much the same being inline fours not to say their any worse, just different flavour or bag.

Cool, hope you enjoy it and its trouble free for you.
-
Yeah up to a 400cc class you would notice the power and torque more, be less forgiving than a 125 for only a little more weight if you stick to a particular type of bike. 125s are 15hp max and 400s max of 46hp, 600cc dont have a legal cap so generally anywhere above 100-120hp. So as a start a heathy and large dimensioned 400 would be better than a 125 but due to your height and weight i wouldnt even say that with a straight face, really a decent /sensible normal 600 is a better starting point like Meagaross said a early 2000-2010, not a r6 or super sports bike alike but boarding towards low powered upto 800cc roadster or sport touring bike could be another another choice if long term ownership was on the cards? the only other option thats reasonable is a big scooter at 800cc or so.
-
Good to get it looked over properly by a good trustworthy mechanic first, then you can learn afterwards to do basic service in the meantime to save money and leave the big (worthy) jobs to a mechanic if you so wish? As Megaross said they are simple for even basic service of oil and filter changes thats shouldnt be too difficult with basic tools. The other than brakes (simple enough just clean regular and throughly) the only other thing you have to get right is the cvt (which is a good gearbox unit in general) but it doesn't cope well if mistreated. I saw a burgman (big scooter) with many destroyed pieces at a garage the other week, when abroad the mechanic in germany didnt do the tension and bolts up correctly and it destroyed itself a day or so later, not a cheap fix either. But don't let that put you off, all im saying just to make sure it's in good shape and it will serve well. so how many miles has it had? service history? what has been done in that service and by who?
-
Gero it might have been mentioned, unless you think thats not the right category for them? no harm in getting an idea of what is about and advice in advance?
-
Well the automatic narrows it down quite abit. agree with Megaross: cruisers and autos are pretty much non. Also cruisers are really quite particular and niche so its not always for everyone, they tend to be stupidly heavy, parts are always cost more, a swine to man handle and their low speed manners can be a acquired taste unless its a ducati or a triumph but your 3k wont get them unless you go manual and look at nearing vintage. If you dont want a scooter even a big one like suzuki burgman which are actually quite quick and good agility and come with tons of storage off the bat. The other option a certain trikes.... If you look at more versatile bikes first suggestion would be a Honda nc750 dct, its a good quality bike thats very adaptable, engine is from a honda jazz car engine just chopped in half as a twin so its more based on a car engine designed to last with more emphasis on torque and low revs, every economic and simple with no problems getting it serviced or fixed by any mechanic, plently of options official and after market to make what you want or need like topbox, panniers yada yada. another is aprillia mana but they are not as common here. Do every yourself and everyone a favour and avoid the Chinese bikes.

I had the 500 Italian styled is very good, owned it for four and a half years, did over 16,000 miles. I did like the bike which is not a terrible bike in design and decent choice parts from the Italian side but alot of the Chinese mass produced stuff is still nowhere near good. give them another 10years more to improve and i think they might be closer. i knew that was a possibility but it was worth the risk and pitfalls at the time so i decided to treat it as buy it, use as much as possible and be prepared to scrap it and any time even 1 day after the warranty.. faults include replacement of clocks, head lights misting, exhaust which sounded good but bad welds and metals that just drop off with no warning. pillion handles and pegs bubbling and rusting all over under paint within a year (even after every replacement parts) plus poor paint and no lacquer on a number of parts is daft. electrical wiring looms and ground points problems. including some very interesting disco lights (indicators randomly but nearly always on too) that never stopped the bike while out on a ride 150miles from home but sure hell did confuse the crap out of anyone. up to 3 months waiting for parts cos they dont stock anything at all even in Europe So you have to wait for everything to cone by boat from china. The slightly metallic red paint on the tanks was a nice choice, not the deepest or best layer but still way better than the other parts they did. Engine that when new is so ridiculously tight but after 7000 goes way too loose and the vibration (not including the secondary ones) were just silly, like it can creep if not flat, rev it on its side stand and the bike moves forward and up slightly it almost comes off the sidestand. And a annoying closed loop circuit in the ecu that made low rev riding just opening throttle a real pain in the arse. the mid range torque were strong and fairly flat even above its class. Cheap service at a normal garage (if you can find one that will touch it) was cheap. mpg was the best bit, i never managed to get less than 74mpg, around 107was possible though. then therr the matter of if the dealer you bought it from decides to not be a dealer for that brand ever again, and trying to find another with a less than welcome attitude of NA. would i do it again? hmmm well never say never but really depends on circumstances if another bike from a different manufacturer didnt fit the needs or price even on the second hand market wasn't available. would i buy a second hand Chinese bike, not unless ever other choice has been exhausted including Yap or Italian scooters first.

Get a proper mechanical to check the cvt drive, if the belts or other parts not right it can be slipping.
-
Oh and rule number one dont bother with the Chinese bikes unless your a mechanic (or have a friend youll get to know and theyll regret) or you love wasting money in every fashion which way possible... not stereotype had one of the best ones myself and still problems at every point of any ownership.

Hi, hell we got a talker here!! Sorry just joking. We're a friendly bunch honest! Please introduce and post any questions or chats you wish in the relevant place.

My I suggest you try the oxford orginals, single skin good for work/casual still AA and not chunky protection that still level 2i think and £100. Worth ashout! jand s has Frank Thomas rebal tack, a few more quid stretchy but for the slightly skinnier or thinner calfs that like to be gripped. red route pulse if your sparrow legs. the rst x? These are double skinned and thicker so you could possibly three seasons it but a bit bagger with ever so slightly thicker protection thats level two all while a touch more. for me it was a toss between the ox and rst but as I wanted to use in more seasons and its my riding social based thats what i went but with if i was wearing while office keyboard warrioring id gone with the ox.
