  1. Yey well done - gold stars all round. Would that be before or after his head gasket is imminently blown??? sorry KTM... sort your engines out. anyway what size engine is the Katoom?
  2. Put two brand oxford rainex new covers over the bikes...they've gotten better than the last one i bought a good few years ago..
  3. They do know its in the manual if anyone reads it ...serviceable, needs regular inspection and in some cases actually states given years and mileage for recommendations of change, just like oil, filters, brake lines etc. Had on all my old jap bikes, the triumph and benelli. In fact i remember the last two particularly states it at very particular milestones even though it seemed at odds with the rest of the times, our suzuki And honda says can use it upto 10% ethanol and still its hoses and other fuel related stated inspection at every service... Garage up the road from us used to see it quite often at first e10 rolled out as the petrol station is just mile up the road, a bit less so now cos he would advise them about it after he fixed them from pissing out. do i need to bring up the ducati and triumph fuel tanks? They say ohhh yeah of course they are fully compatible and nothing is could possibly go wrong with them..... why has the paint cracked and cant the tank fit back on then??? As it swelled an extra litre or so.
  4. One thing i learned about horses and bikes thats the same, if you fall off just get straight back on. one other quote thats easier to achieve " You’re not a rider unless you’ve fallen off seven times" luckly in the biking world its alot less than that. Lol.
  5. While someone wears it??
  6. Are you having a nervous breakdown? Who said owt about water?
  7. Compatible but you ignore prolonged use / exposure to E10 shortens service life. Its a serviceable and consumable part even when new so with age the higher chance of failure.
  8. I wouldnt do it on a test unless in case of an emergency or if you would be in-the way of an emergency vehicle on call that wants to pass you unless you did it all the while and it looks safe then yes. In a test it wouldnt matter if you had to roll down the road a bit further past the yellows to a better and safer spot, shows the examiner your paying attention and thinking of your and others safety...the number one rule.
  9. I'll save keith saying the same again, lol. Horrible histories is as far id go, maybe its one of those ageism's things? If thats what it looks like Holy i hope i dont hit it hard.
  10. Yes!!! Ohwait you mean that....
  11. Welcome! Just ask in the relevant section
  12. Whiskey good especially singles but the only three i really dont get on with is Jack, James and Grant, really bad taste and head. Most ales and crafts . when younger i didn't mind vodka but not for a long time. Wine, Rum and cider . Some beers im allergic to strangely. stouts . anyway maybe we should start a alcohol thread? call it alcoholics advice group, lol.
  13. Wow Gero who slapped your cheeks? Goretex laminated is still really really expensive and there are other branded ones which for some people isn't an option or hard to justify..as you said yourself when you were young remember???...compared to a fitted or drop liner layer which are still very good for the price and if the design of fitment is good theres less of a difference so for alot of people makes sense. Other people have view and experiences even if they come to the different conclusion to yours Gero are still valid, so to actually to say theirs are any less bearing or opposition on a product you wholeheartedly support is wrong. along with the all the comments and recommendations they add to the pot of knowledge of what help people find the right product for that person hopefully first time... On the other note im not sure wtf some of that was about while Giving a quality product to someone less fortunate /more useful to which is still getting used today is os very commendable. But to add to your own overly beating mindset which only makes you look worse of single mindedness of shall i add your own words for an example "slapping him because he still rides a 125" Wtf has it to do with you? If hes happy and it works for him so should you be. With the yt vid an opinion?? Shows how much attention you had. Anyway depending on what the video is, its for the masses and less knowledgable in a polish production rather than just way of like chav in there bedroom or shouting over a traffic infested road saying "Yo yur gonna have to it buy it cos i fooking said, like its the best shite and all ya mates will be sooo envious and they'll wanna mug ya to get it so click the like subscribe or your a loser and buy it now from my link in the description peace out ya all" . maybe its not for or aimed at you but for you to discredit the video is very ....disappointing. its connected with the motobike community and shares information as subjective and rational as possible highlighting just why it is a good product for example but might not be the holy grail that its made out to be and oh my gosh heaven forbid might just have some flaws . Simple reason gore doesn't work well for some people for some of the time under certain conditions...all the information there in the video just says and proves that and goes to say what, who, when, why etc. its not actively saying don't buy gore just because we dont have a piece of the pie in the business but to say what to expect if your unlucky for it to happen to you, dont be surprised if you get unlucky with it but more importantly its saying its not the only option available to you. flaps and vents are just a weak point and have to be lined with said product to reduce the leak undoing its primary design. when your hiking your not travelling upto and beyond 70mph? if you are goretex aint going to save you falling down the mountains. wind blasts the pores closed and chill is more so the difference in temperature outside the jacket to the inside is more so gives condensation hence it tou can still feel damp at best. so im with goat, geofferz and BF. Click the like button and peace out ya all!
  14. Welcome and congratulations for braving to two wheels! Yep shit happens, sorry POOr joke. looking out for things is great (apart from you overlooking ) but you obviously need to dial your brain back... im guessing you have been driving so suddenly not having a cage etc wrapped around you now is daunting. Not knowing How much grip you have, trusting what the bike does and yourself? worried about hurting the bike as it seems to screams at a low 7000+rpm where as car maxes at 6000 but for a bike its barely woken up. if you look far enough away you can see and plan things better and with loads of times so its less of a worry and not rather guess what if?? Letting you in? You have your space around you and its yours while you are there, if you want you can actively make your own space some things might be because you are actually creating a window of opportunity for a muppet to do it to you?...like your worried so much you actually make yourself slow so people will want to actively overtake you so you give them the reason due to your own personal fear. f you are worried about the cars queue jumping past you there are two reasons , if you are going really slowly comepared And why would a slip road running out? If you are looking farther its not a surprise. country lanes are 60 easy. If you can follow a car while in the car its just the same only ive leave a little more space but aslong as you are with the flow. I think a little more time, extra tutoring or going out with other people that will be happy to have a cruise will make you acclimate better and see what YOU need to help you get more comfortable with your riding.
  15. Only use is food for animals and challenge to make as many roadkills in ayear?
  16. Thanks BF you saved me having to do it. Tried a gore label product years ago, never a super fan of the gore myself . and as my words are not trusted here i found it didnt work that well for me most of the time as it wasnt breathable enough most of the time and as the video point out. plus as a business plan its just diabolical to ott costs and control...
  17. Yep just like bender, runs on alcohol!
  18. Carling, might aswell drink stright from the nightclub toilet... Painfully expensive? Craft ales Just made better on a smaller scale, old bean., but if its a nearly 9% its not that greatly different in cost to effect . Problem i have with Brewdog is there loads of so called varieties just with ever so slightly different print but Most pretty much tastes the same. much prefer Vocation or Salts selection myself.
  19. Hein G stuff was really good stuff for the money many years ago before J&S bought and cost cut them to death. Wife had got a Hein textile suit of a recommendation off advice from me, only after two spills the pants eventually holed at the knees on barrel lots of loose bitmin (fooking contractors and lancashire council mfs) and light scuffs on the jacket. They were still water proof, the jacket though scruffy is fairly water proof is still with us now as a back up. The alpine stars looks sleeker but now where near are durable and cost more.
  20. And of course itv was more concerned about covering a scoop than addressing the real problem. Dont think many will say its right but when there isn't the infrastructure of public schools, meals, nhs as like in richer country who could blame the parents as Its a better option for their kids when your in a flatline poor country. Did STC do anything to actually help or address short or long term? Alot of Money probably went to top level management.
  21. Yep never the bikes fault, always the owner!
  22. Leathers and textiles are not always in the same sizes even from the same manufacturer let alone other brands. how much depends on brand and style. goretex carries a premium over well established brands own waterproofing layer that are similar in performance, then the same again on membranes. You need to weigh up cost to performance to durability.
  23. Dont bother, seriously not worth the effort having to convert injection to a carb...
  24. agree with codger. Wemoto do a kit but its a diy job not particularly difficult to do but depends on how hands on you are about it. Other than lexmoto dealer or online (good luck) your other is second hand markets. this is the problem with some brands lack of supply and support....
  25. Yep its true! Brother bought a four figure bottle once, I said its torture to the point of evil. its proper bitter sweet as its there to be seen so close waiting to be tasted, so tempting. Sat there its worth value can only go up but its characterless and worth only as a trinket as is because you dont know what its actually like. Give in , Open it to find out the knowledge and experience its value is next to nowt but the experience and knowledge of so few have is worth it? Hmmmm maybe its one of those things if your in the position.
