Mawsley Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Good morning neighbours - especially the little shit who was having a party until the early hours last night. Cop a load of this bollocks, you cockbadger. Quote
TC1474 Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 How about the greatest live performance by the greatest band the UK has produced? IMHO of course https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9boFzhUVG4 I was only 11 but I was staying on the Isle of Wight at my godmathers at the time and I saw the Who play that concert. Of course it was also the first time they played TommyI can still remember it. Quote
Mawsley Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Holy crap. I knew MES has been slowly sliding into drink-soaked, piss-stained irrelevance, but the latest Fall offering is possibly the worst record I've ever heard. I've got every piece of vinyl they recorded up to around 2005, and there are some howlers in that collection, but nothing compared to this. If you don't know who the Fall are, love their work or abhor them: avoid this disk. Horrible. Quote

rob m Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Loving Massive Attack this afternoon. Great track and video which briefly features one of my favourite comedy actors, Mark Heap albeit in a more sinister way. The reference to The Shining is great too .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi76bxT7K6U Quote

Snod Blatter Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I'm not usually much of a Metallica fan but their cover of Breadfan is joyous. Skip 30 seconds in and forget the end, it's just cheering..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RjHVQfwp2s Quote

old-timer Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 You may think that NL is completely flat, but that is not really true!We do have some bumps and humps in the landscape. They are the river dikes, some of which an be up to 15 meters above sea level... We refer to these as the Dutch Mountains. A dutch group called 'the Nits' had a hit in the 80's called "In the Dutch Mountains".Highly recommended... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPyiZI_WrXw Quote

Throttled Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 And I can't get into Tool, it is odd how that happens. Quote
The Hitcher Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 And I can't get into Tool, it is odd how that happens. They did a fairly decent cover of Dead Souls, but no, it's not better than the original Joy Division version. Quote

Mawsley Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Today's desk grunts, moans and sighs of exasperation are accompanied by the catalogue of The Psychedelic Furs. There's tickets left to see them in Brum tomorrow night - very tempted.https://youtu.be/yu9uIOIjM0U Quote
