TC Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Church Dave? Something like that StuI'll be praying on the way there.
megawatt Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Been looking at possible routes for a rideout on Saturday or Sunday for those not going to Tonfanau races. This route takes us through the Berwyn mountains, to a fabulous waterfall, to Bala and then to the Ponderosa and a back road route back to Telford. Whadyafink?http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=tf2 ... yer=t&z=10
TC Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 That looks like a really good run Mega.Unfortunatly i won't be doing much riding once i arrive, maybe a blast on saturday but sunday is a bike free day.
megawatt Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Thanks TC. Just wanna visit some old haunts and I have never been to the Ponderosa. I am a waterfall geek and that one is the highest in Wales, probably the UK , and you can ride right up to it!!! http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... UCe2xPq-nQ
techno Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Its a bike free day other than the ones on the telly box
Susieque Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 If (and that's a big 'if') I've got time on Saturday afternoon and if anyone fancies a pedestrian little ride, I might be able to take anyone to get the Tag pics at Bridgnorth Cafe & The Ironbridge! That's if my bike will start of courseNo promises though - and if it's at all wet then it's a no go!
littlecat Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 how many miles is that route mega?? and just how tight and mountainous and twisty is it ???
megawatt Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Not too nadgery Cat, a lot of wide open B roads with spectacular views. Not sure on route back from Llangollen, picked that from googlemap as better than the A5. Don,t worry, I won,t abandon you.!!!
rennie Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I like the A5!, nice and wide! usually just go straight down the middle!
littlecat Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 and are you thinking of doing that on the sunday mega???if its fine count me in
megawatt Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yep Sunday is favourite so far, depending on weather. Hope to get out Saturday afternoon as well!!!

Remy Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I'll join you on the Sunday if not raining, the road back from Llangollen is my usual route to Ellesmere. I can meet you going out at Montford Bridge picnic site on the A5, past Shrewsbury?
