People keep putting these videos of the PM a few years back fighting for us to leave the EU. What's changed? He's adamant for us to stay now? I'm so confused.

Things and people change.

Maybe he's looking for a job as an EU commissioner.

Corbyn during his back bench days was a staunch supporter of the Out campaign, now he's supposedly with the remain group.

In one of my friends Facebook threads someone said in all seriousness - and I kid you not: "I was going to vote for Brexit because I hate Cameron, but then Boris declared his support so now I'm voting to remain. I just can't stand his hair."

This is less ridiculous than many arguments I've heard from both sides

True. If only the Americans had applied the same logic...

As well as staff allowances, MEPs are able to earn up to £91,000 a year in "daily subsistence" and "general expenditure" expenses without having to provide any receipts or proof of expenditure – a practice that would not be tolerated in Westminster.

The "subsistence allowance" or "per diem" of £258 is paid in cash without any proof of expenditure, when MEPs sign an attendance register in Brussels or the Strasbourg seat of the parliament.

The payment is known as "sign in and slope off" among the more cynical MEPs and is notorious for allowing them to pocket the money without staying in the EU assembly, or even Brussels, to do any work.

Last summer, video footage of MEPs slapping and pushing a journalist filming them while they claimed the daily allowance as they arrived at work in the evening sparked new calls for reform to the EU assembly.

No reforms were made and there are no plans to change the receipt-free allowances system after European elections in May

So how do I become a MEP? I would actually work for that money too!

And of course exiting Europe will mean all UK politicians will get far less expenses and lose their second home allowances etc...

Of course it won't. If anything it will make the UK politicians feel more important and so demand more free money so they can do their job.. oh and it will put them in a position to vote for their own gains because they won't have the EU to answer to.

We don't need to exit, we just need our politicians to man-up and start taking charge of Europe, not run away from it.

I love the way it says "a practice that would not be tolerated in Westminster" as though British politicians are now the benchmark of financial morality and honesty.

Some people's memories are either very short or highly selective...

And you know what's to blame?

The dumbing down of educational standards that began with the abolition of the 11 Plus in the late 60's.

That was the agenda because of the student revolts worldwide in the 60's when for the first time they were challenging authority. And every generation since then has got dumber and dumber!

But that's what the powers that be want. They certainly don't want a nation of educated, free thinking individuals that are capable of asking awkward questions.

Just make sure their social security covers their satellite TV, I Phones etc to keep them occupied and then sit back and do as you please with your crooked Bankster friends.

A compliant electorate is a Politician's dream......and that was always Blair's vision of the future.

No it's cause they are inbred , women with three kids all with different dads, the dads have more kids with different women , the kids all grow up in the same area... Before you know it they are all on Jeremy Kyle with arms growing out their foreheads.

Oh, and don't forget about broken spirits and mental/emotional instability...

And ADHD, which is nothing more than 70% bad parenting and 30% being a little shite.

That's the drugs and booze they all take..

Government have ensured that wherever there are low life inbreds, there is a plentiful supply of booze and dope.

In short:

Everyone is a shit, why should we be surprised that politicians are too? Saying "shit politician" is basically just saying "shit shit". They're... double shit.
